Two weeks had gone by after the request in person for my medical records to be sent to another doctor. That doctor office called me on a Friday at 5pm to say they have yet to receive any of my records from oncology. On Monday I called to speak to medical records. They say they have no records of me even requesting my medical records to be sent. I told them I have a visit in the next two hours and to make sure my records are sent. This office is such a joke. On another note, I called two weeks ago to update the office with a new medical status as I am pregnant now. I asked if I need to run additional tests before my visit. The person on the phone said they will update my oncologist with my status and will give me a call back. It's been two weeks and nothing. I'm looking for a new oncology office. This office has been unprofessional since the beginning. Never returning calls or promises they make. Lose paperwork and is such a headache to get them to even send any of my paperwork to other doctors. read more

Part 1 Sit back, this is going to be a long one. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2025. This was surprising and upsetting. It was more important to me to focus on the cure than the diagnosis. It turns out there are so many appointments and so many hoops you need to jump through when dealing with cancer. I made my initial appointment with the oncology institute as soon as my authorization was issued. My first appointment was on 11/21/2025. On the first visit there wasn't much to be done except meet the doctor, get bloodwork paperwork and make another appointment. The next appointment I set was for December 26, 2025. I asked specifically if the dr was working that day because I thought that it was odd that the dr would be there on a Friday, the day after Christmas. I was assured he would be so I put it in my calendar. (An afterthought on this visit. As I walked out of the room, I asked if I could use the restroom. I was told yes, there was a restroom outside. That seemed so logical to not let me use the restroom 10 feet down the hall {the same one they let my husband use prior to going into the room} when they could have me go to the front desk, ask for a key, go outside to the restroom used by all of the businesses and then return the key. Just plain rude, but quite foreshadowing of the following encounters I would experience there.) We left the appointment and went straight to get my bloodwork done. On December 26, 2025 (I unfortunately came down with that flu bug that was going around, but I had an appointment) my husband and I went in for my scheduled appointment. Upon arrival to the facility, I was told that the dr was not in and I would need to reschedule. I was beyond annoyed, First, I had asked specifically when making the appointment that the dr was going to be in that day, Second, I felt miserable but kept my appointment because I had one. I would have preferred to stay home and in bed. I asked why I got no call to let me know the appointment had been cancelled. I was told that they didn't know and they were not the person who made the calls. They seemed neither apologetic nor sympathetic. I suppose I should have been appreciative of the fact that they were willing to schedule another appointment for me. The rescheduled appointment was for January 16, 2026. We arrived on January 16th for my appointment. Luckily, the dr was there and I was going to be seen. I gave them my $50 copay and waited to be called back. When being called back to the exam room, my vitals were taken and I was asked if I had any concerns. I told the young lady that I had been having dizzy spells and that was concerning me. She noted it on my chart (I think). When the dr came into the exam room, he let me know that my bloodwork all looked good with the exception of my kidneys. I told him those numbers were probably still off since I donated a kidney in August (this was discussed at my last appointment with him). He asked if I knew the person (still no like the last time we discussed it) and if it hurt when it was done. I let him know I had been under anesthesia so I didn't feel a thing. That was the extent of our conversation for the most part with him telling me to make a return appointment three weeks after my double mastectomy. He didn't mention my dizziness, the visit seemed well worth my $50 and time spent. I could not of anything better to do with my time or money or stress regarding my cancer. I went to the front to schedule my next visit. I let them know I needed it 3 weeks after my surgery. I pulled out my calendar so I could record the date and time. We looked at the calendar to find a date 3 weeks after my February 5th surgery. I was given the date and time, wrote it down and was also given a print out for the appointment. When I went home, as I was putting the print out in my notebook, I noticed that the date and time were incorrect. The appointment reflected on the paper was a week after the surgery. I immediately called the office to let them know they recorded it incorrectly. After attempting to explain the situation with the person who had answered the phone, they responded with the notion that I needed to reschedule my appointment. No, I just needed them to give me the correct appointment that I was given in the office when I was there. I guess this incompetence was just another perk of paying $50 (those who have to pay more probably are thinking I am lucky to only have to pay that amount, I agree but my insurance pays a lot for nothing there.) We scheduled my appointment for March 12, 2026. Apparently, these reviews are limited to a certain number of characters. Things did not get better on my return...I was told by their rude staff I was no longer a patient because of insurance. The story is longer and has been a horrible experience. Please please try to avoid coming to this location. It's so hard to get ahold of the front office. Every call goes to a call center so you're stuck playing telephone between the call center and the actual office. You'd have to drive to their location to speak to them. When my aunt was coming to this facility, I tried for a week to reschedule an appointment due to her not having all the requested tests prior to her visit. Call center system was down so they sent a "message" to the office to contact me. Never got a call. I assumed office had cancelled. Prior to the day of the appointment I was told I called too late to cancel when I had reached out twice! Took my aunt in and was told it was up to her if she wanted to stay and have an appointment. The dr told us that day she did not have pathology report. She lied. When my aunt had to be hospitalized, the drs there pulled a report that showed TOI dr had notated the day of her appointment the results of the pathology report. My aunt died having no answers and no treatment. read more

Dr Sawari is ok, my experience with him personally has not been negative. That said, his staff is the worst ever. Completely unhelpful, disorganized and snippy. My other issue is, so my insurance is paying to see Dr Sawari. So why on earth am I not seeing my doctor and have to be subjected to his nurse practitioner? That young women was pretty much the worst person I had to endure in the medical field. Arrogant, cold and uncaring. WOW! This is an oncologist office where people go with serious medical and emotional issues. I had a lot of questions but there is no way I will talk about my issues with that young women who should have a name change from Erica to Karen. I am pondering if I should make another appointment hoping I actually see the Dr? I wish I had seen the reviews on this place before agreeing to go to this organization for my fathers cancer treatment. Wish I. Could give negative stars. The staff here have no empathy for families or the patient. They are unorganized, understaffed and do not communicate properly or thoroughly. Appointment confirmation calls are made multiple times for the same appointment; different people call each time; sometime with different times. They make you pay upfront for treatment and do not offer payment plans, claiming it's their company policy that an upfront fee is due before they can even get you on the schedule for treatment. So if you don't have $$ you are SOL and dead before getting treatment. They schedule treatment and don't order chemo meds on time leading to rescheduled and delayed treatment. One time treatment meds went to the wrong office. When we asked for a simple letter to justify grab bar installation in my parents apartment the office manager was hesitant to write anything because they could be held liable for that alterations in the apartment. What?! Why would that be any of her concern...she's not the lease holder! She was concerned about THEIR liability in the event we move out..."who would repair the holes in the wall from the grab bars?" She asked! As if that was any of her business!! What she should have been concerned about is their liability when my dad has another fall. While she finally agreed to write the letter; the written letter was a joke. My 1st grader could have written a better letter. Start date of service was wrong (in the future in fact!), DOB was wrong, grammar, spelling and punctuation terrible. I am in healthcare myself and have the opportunity to refer, recommend business such as these to client and network professionals. I would NEVER refer the Onc Institute to anyone! If your shitty American insurance doesn't force this shitty oncology center down your throat, avoid them at all cost. The doctors here are great and dandy, but having a terrible admin staff makes having a good doctor pointless. They lose your paperwork, don't call you back when they say they would, take forever to get anything done. When you sit in their lobby waiting for your treatment you can hear them goof off when they should making calls to insurance companies and dealing with patients. It's no wonder they take forever to get anything done, which actually delays your treatment in the process, which is more added stress. Over at another oncology center I went to, the admin does all the authenticating and bureaucratic stuff for you. Here, not only are you dealing with cancer, their staff dumps all the appointment making and authentications on you and transfers you to various places within their own company when really they should be handling it. The staff are consistently unhelpful and hold times to speak to staff routinely takes longer than an hour. Staff do not seem to understand what a referral is to a general surgeon; instead, I was repeatedly referred to a plastic surgeon or a radiation oncologist. Staff consistently blame delays on other departments within the group. I personally don't care who is responsible for doing their job correctly, but I should not need to call multiple times (on wicked hold) only to find out that the referrals were incorrectly placed. The constant delays in treatment are directly related to incompetent staff. Staff of course try to blame insurance; however, insurance can only approve or disapprove of a correctly placed referral in the first place. I wish I had read the reviews here first. My husband was referred by his PCP to this office. His insurance okayed a referral. He has called repeatedly and waits on hold for up to half an hour with no office response. We have left 2 voicemails for an appointment and applied for an office visit on-line WITH NO RESPONSE. If we could we would go elsewhere. Whoever is in charge of dispatching calls need more training. I work as a front office assistant, & I know how to speak to a client/patient whether it be an aggressive or calm person. I don't treat either one differently. CLAUDIA & SOPHIA who said she couldn't give out her last name, so not even sure if that as even their names. ARE extremely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL & think they have rights to tell a patient on the phone how to talk to them when they answer the phone with ATTITUDE? EVEN HUNG UP ON ME bc I was giving Sophia the same energy she was giving me! Really?! You hang up on a patient like that? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Then I call back to address the fact she hung up, & wants to ARGUE instead of deescalate the issue she started. did you have your morning coffee or is your job pissing you off that much that you don't give a shit on how you talk to patients? They need empathy classes or maybe re trained or maybe look for another job. Those kind of people need to be replaced because it's unacceptable that they get away with talking to people that way. I have reason to believe I have cancer, and that it's spread to a couple of places where I'm having a lot of pain. I was referred here, thinking they'd want to figure it all out ASAP. Nope. They were much more interested in convincing me that I don't have cancer. The only test they ordered was a blood test to see my PSA. It was very low, so it's unlikely I have prostate cancer, but there are other kinds I could have. They didn't test for any, but "guaranteed" me that I don't have cancer. A doctor elsewhere told me that an MRI of the painful areas would show cancer if it has spread to them. That's what I want them to order, but no doctor will do it. So I might be dying of spreading cancer, and all I can get here or anywhere else is a guarantee that I don't have prostate cancer, for whatever that's worth. Not much to me. Edit: Their full name is Oncology Institute for Hope and Innovation. When I asked the doctor to order the MRI that would immediately settle the issue of whether I have cancer that's spread, she said "That's not the way it's done". That doesn't sound very INNOVATIVE to me. Maybe they should change their name to Institute for The Way It's Done. read more

I have suffered from anemia my whole life and finally my primary Dr gave me a referral to this place... yeah no i rather go to another location. I call multiple times and either no one picks up or im on hold for 5-10 minutes... and they aren't even nice when you speak to them. They are rude and try to be smart with you. I took my mom there who is 81 years old to have her speak with an oncologist about her newly diagnosed breast cancer. We were told my wife and I could go in with her since she has issues hearing and remembering when she gets upset. When the male nurse called my mom back, he stated only the patient can go back, no family because the rooms are small. As we sat there in the waiting room, we saw two family's of color go back with their loved ones. I asked at the window why we couldn't go back. They pointed to a sign that said no family members. This is the 1st time in my 58 years I have felt discriminated against because I am a white male and my 81 year old mom is white. I asked to speak with the office manager who was sitting working 3 feet away about why we couldn't go back and she gave us the same story. She said the doctor mom was seeing did not want family in the room because of Covid. So she takes my mom into a room, then takes us back into a different room and that is somehow better? It should be noted too that we heard clearly a patient's name and phone number who was trying to get her pain meds refilled and how the three office staff including the manager, were discussing how she is abusing her pain medication!! So much for HEPA laws I guess? I am NOT taking my mom back to this office and believe iu should be investigated for Discrimination and HEPA law violations!! read more

I've been to The Oncology Institute of Hope & Innovation in Murietta, CA twice now since my Lumpectomy and to be honest, I'm disappointed. I believe the doctors there are OK, but the rest of the staff, and the incredibly long waiting in the front and back rooms both are unacceptable. I have showed up on time at each of my appointments, and have yet to be able to actually talk to the doctor before over 2 hours have gone by. Why bother to give me an 11:AM appointment when I don't see the doctor until almost 2:PM? I have never waited to see a doctor for that long in my entire life! The staff at the front desk are not the friendliest or most professional I've ever experienced either. They won't give you any information unless you, the patient makes it a point to drag it out of them. They take their sweet time getting authorization from my Insurance. I could end up dead before I finally get authorization for radiation therapy, or even obtaining an authorization for the first confirence with the radiologist. I must say, judging by the first two visits I've had with this medical business establishment, I am not impressed. read more

Negative stars!!! This place has serious operational issues. It takes so long to get anything scheduled or paperwork processed. My mother was Dr. Janoski's patient. She was diagnosed with lymphoma in the beginning of September. It took this office so long to talk to her insurance and schedule testing, that she didn't start chemotherapy until the last week of October. 7 weeks. 7 weeks went by of her regressing and not getting the treatment she needed. On top of that, the day she was scheduled to start, she was admitted to FV Regional Center's Cancer ward for treatment, and Dr. Janoksi came in and said, oh no there's one test we missed. Go home, we will schedule this test. ANOTHER WEEK WENT BY before she was tested and rescheduled to come back in for treatment. She passed away in the hospital after her first round. The worst of it all is that someone from this office called my mom's phone a few weeks after she passed away UNDER ONE OF THEIR DOCTOR'S CARE and sassily asked why she didn't show up to her appointment. I said,"HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT SHE DIED? Does anyone in your office communicate with others??? Don't ever call this number again." When you are sitting in the lobby, you'll notice the office staff answering a phone call, and then spending 5 minutes chatting and not working. Met my new oncologist Dr Delshad Ahmad at the Hemet office. Very nice and professional. Took time and explained in detail my condition and plan of care to where my husband and I understood him. Explained lab and tests results thoroughly, especially a special test which checks for type of mutation my type of cancer was. I will definitely keep him as my new oncologist. read more

experience: showed up on time only to wait an hour for go into the back room. After 20 min of waiting doctor, Daniel Huang came in to break the bad news about my mother's results. The meeting lasted 10-15min and left us feeling abandoned. When you break this type of news be ready to explain more and follow through with what you said. He said he would have the paperwork done, about clinical trials, or even for pathology reports and didn't even hear from him or the office. Its been 11 days and still don't have the paperwork. I can understand you have a lot of patients but it is not right. The front office is very rude and unprofessional. Felt like patients were just only a number to them. I was assigned to the Riverside office by my HMO and I am not sure why they contracted with this group. Read the other reviews as you will suffer thru long waiting time, uninterested receptionists, and unprepared doctors (who may or may not have reviewed your chart or have your paperwork ready) but the exasperating thing is trying to get an appt or attempt to talk to someone to change your appt time. Both attempts were recorded as over a 60 minute wait time. This last time, after waiting 55 minutes, I hung up and recalled again and told them no - I didn't want to wait on hold and the receptionist asked someone in the background what to do - and she said 'Oh Just Transfer Her" What a joke their staff is! read more

If I could give a negative star, I would!!! But let's be real, our reviews don't mean much when HMOs contact with these groups and they will get the referred patients anyway. My mom is there for her 3rd round of chemo. They start treatment. Come in a few mins later and said they had to STOP because they didn't have the authorization and the medical director didn't review it!!! It's scheduled for every 3 weeks and you don't know that this has to be done?!!! I filed appeals. I begged Regal for approval to take her to City Of Hope and it was denied. Twice. Shame on Regal Medical Group for contracting such a disorganized treatment center and putting your contracted rates before the care and treatment of the patients who request better!!!! As for this place, this is the 2nd time I had this conversation with the manager. My mom has been there 3 times. Only once has there not been an issue. If they truly care about people who are going through the worst diagnosis possible, you have MAJOR changes to make!!!! read more

Worst referral and authorizations dept. ever, no sense of urgency and impossible to contact. First referral was wrong and for a cardiovascular surgeon and not a colo-rectal surgeon as specified by Dr's urgent request. They never got back to me on the correct referral. Finally got ahold of someone who promised to fax the referral to the colorectal surgeon, didnt happen. Called auth/referral dept maybe 100 times over a period of 2 6 weeks, no answer or return call . After 2 months I was finally directed by Dr's office to Contact IPA to get auth info and was assisted same day because referral had been approved. All this agonizing for failure and inability to contact hope and innovations oncology Institute. I only pray my father's Cancer has not gotten worse for their neglect. My experience has been a hit or miss, some of the receptionist at every rude and uncaring however there is only one person that I trust thanks to Alexis he was able to help us with the paper work and everything and very patient but unfortunately I get other receptionist that are just plain Lazy! Urgent auths should only take 2-3 days but expect 5-6 days since they don't submit it to the IPA fast enough. I don't understand why it takes so long! read more

The staff is rude and VERY unprofessional. The girls in the front have no compassion for their sick patients, they only worry about their gossip and ordering their lunch! They cackle way too loud for a doctors office and you can hear them pounding on their desks and laughing through the wall. Definitely avoid this place at all costs!!! I'm 25 and had to wait over two weeks for a bone marrow biopsy. Only to find out that they moved my appointment and extra two days and didn't even notify me of the change. It is unacceptable to wait so long to see whether you have cancer or not. They couldn't fit me in with any other doctor either. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more
