It worked out that I was…read moreplanning on getting a quote for a tree removal, but when they showed up they thought it was for the removal, so they gave me a great price and went ahead and did it that day. What i wasn't happy about was that they drove and parked their trailer in my yard, which we have so carefully tried to get grass to grow in. I told them they could park in the driveway next to ours as the house wasn't occupied, which I thought they did, but when I came back out again it was in the yard. I figured that it was my fault because I didn't request them to stay off the grass so I let it go. They came back the next day to finish picking up the limbs and I requested a quote on getting some limbs cut from another tree for thinning while they were there. They promptly responded and again said they could do it that day, which was great. I asked if they would be careful with the grass because it was on a different side of the house and I didn't figure they would need to be in the grass anyway. I got home and they were working hard, but there were tire rugs all through my yard (we have a corner lot so there is no possible reason why they would need to drive where they did). Their truck was on the street at that point so the damage was already done and there was nothing I could say. Apparently, they ran over 3 street signs while they were there too (my neighbor was present when it happened). Long story short, they got my taken care of very promptly, the price was reasonable, and they were polite, but I would set expectations at the beginning of what you want regarding boundaries of your yard.

It took 2 days to complete because they were having machine trouble. All went well and they purposely left stumps higher in order for pool people to be able to push over any stumps in their way. Mike had told me that after pool completion he would return and level off stumps in order to grind them. Pool completion was finally done in May 2018 and I called mike in order to arrange for the stumps to be cut. he contacted me back about 3 days later and did get here to level stumps and he brought his stump guy who gave me a great price to grind 25 stumps! some stumps where huge. When Mike and his crew arrived the second time they also took down 2 more trees for me. i recommend Thompsons tree service

Christopher Price came out and looked at our five trees - one of which is laying on an electrical wire, so time is of the essence. We made a plan to eliminate the danger, plus do a full day of trimming and nutrient injections. He seemed to really care about our trees and we were excited to work with him, even though the scope and the quote were beyond what we had initially planned on spending. What followed was three weeks of unfulfilled promises, excuses, and constant prodding on our part to get communication. We're relatively easygoing, but he committed to doing work for us, and then wouldn't send us a contract or set a date so it was super frustrating. As another reviewer said - if you don't have time for us or don't want to work with us, just let us know that so we don't waste our time. Three weeks later, I now have to start the hunt for a vendor all over again. It shouldn't be this hard to find someone who respects a client's time, especially when that client intends to pay you almost $2,000.

I also requested that they trim the other trees in the front. I received a very reasonable estimate and set a tentative date for service, depending on our weather. A few days before service was scheduled, I called to ask if there was any chance of also clearing my fence line as the small bushes/trees were growing into my fence and well over my fence, obstructing any view. When the day came for service, the crew arrived early and worked diligently throughout the day. The tree removed from the backyard was very large and I'll admit I was a little nervous about how they were going to handle it. Needless to say, they did an excellent job with everything.
