Last dinner in Amsterdam on this particular trip also happened to be Italian. I had actually walked by Gió Cucina Italiana on a previous trip and it piqued my interest. Couldn't come here originally as I didn't have a reservation and it was fully booked, so I had to book a reservation for the next day.
All I can say is...wow! Ordered the Burrata al Tartufo as an appetizer, super super fresh burrata. Also ordered the Rigatoni Al "Tucco" Genovese and Ravioli di Agnello e Timo al Burro e Pecorino as entrées. The rigatoni was cooked very well with the tomato sauce and beef. Ravioli tasted great with the lamb and pecorino cheese. Amazing food!
Staff were very friendly here as well, no complaints.
Ambience is really nice with the brick walls and high ceilings. Only downside is that this seems to be a spot for at most two people, as they did not have any tables bigger than that. Might be a challenge to eat here if you are trying to have a larger party.
Finally glad I stopped by, well worth the visit. read more
