I have worked with a lot of contractors, painters etc. over the years and experienced listening to excuses, broken promises, flat out lies and price gouging. Hiring Lazio completely restored my faith in working with a contractor, because never once did he attempt to mislead or overcharge me. He is fair, truly a man of his word and did everything he promised. Actually he did even more than he promised, thats how much he cares about the quality of work he does. Lazio worked on my house (which was a 5 week project) inside and out and was there nearly every single day until it was completed. He was respectful, has a great upbeat positive "can do" attitude, and has a fantastic eye for detail and style. Finding a company like his in New York is a find and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent work at a great price!!

Working with Damian and his team has been a pleasure. We emailed for a quote and he asked some…read morequestions and for some photos of the space. (Every other person we emailed for a quote did the same. None came to visit, and with COVID I was cool with that.) His quote was consistent with most of the other highly rated folk we reached out to for quotes. What set him apart was his clear emails with detailed pricing. It was clear that he knew painting was expensive, and people imagine doing everything at once and think of it as all-or-nothing. His pricing model showed it was some-at-a-time. (We did go all in though :) ) He was very responsive on email and answered questions from the mundane to the esoteric with patience and clarity. He came the day before the job was supposed to start to drop off supplies and map out everything that was should happen with me and his team. His team was great, polite, and professional. The speed and quality of the work was amazing. Everyone was happy to answer questions and explain what was happening. For me, the true test was with an accident that happened. Relatively minor, but Damian took full ownership and made it right without any discussion. That is how you do it. He gave great advice throughout the process, and respected what I needed. I feel if I had gone with an another person they would not have seen that it needed extra prep work prior to painting and the walls would have had rough spots and lines. My walls are old, but that has nothing to do with the painters' sloppy work. For A G Williams, it seems that finishing the painting as quickly as possible takes precedence over a job well done. Ten to twelve years ago I had the place painted by my Contractor's general workers. These workmen provided an excellent paint job at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately, this time I hired A G Willams. I did so because of A G William's reputation for excellence and superior work provided by skilled painters. The only thing "superior" about A G Williams is the high prices they charge. Beware.
