This place was on the main road, I quickly stopped (a lot of parking space (1 star already), they had a massive selection of ice creams and frozen yogurt (another star) and even some vegan options for my wife (tofu based frozen yogurt , another star). But thats not all, they even have ice cream for dogs, not I know what you are thinking whats the problem giving the dog a cup of vanilla yogurt as a dog-cream. Well nope, it was actually two huge dog biscuits (the ones shaped as a bone) with a non-suger hard cream in the middle. A little more healthy treat and my dog loved it (she had a hot day as well and? another start for the place). So far we have only 4 stars right? well they also have cool sitting with swings for the costumers and the ice cream price is also great. The only minus is that they only accept cash but there is a bank less then a block away. So a well deserved 5 stars ice-cream stop !

You order your food and they give you a number and then use a P.A. System to call out your order. Pooh had the ground beef and onion poutine and I had the smoked hotdog (they are homemade and smoked on site) and an order of onion rings. Pooh's poutine had a generous amount of cheese and for a medium it was big. The meat was from a smashed burger so it was thinly sliced and not chunks of meat and the sauce had something added to make it taste on the sweet side. Pooh has eaten a lot of ground beef and onion poutines and this was not one of the better ones. My hotdog tasted great; it was juicy and smoky but there was some kind of sweet sauce added to the bun that I wasn't crazy about. The onion rings were huge and crispy but the coating on them was a tad salty. Lots of picnic tables and covered seating. What kind of turned me off was the mandatory tipping when you pay by card. The tip screen pops up first so you have to tip first before paying for the meal and even if there was a way to bypass it, no one brought us our meal or drinks it was all self service so the tip should be optional and not in your face.

By the main street in this rural area. They have ice cream too! Probably a local favorite... avoid the chains near by and encourage this local business.

Has anyone recommended the chocolate dipped soft serve cone yet?! :D…read more There is a reason why! I can never remember all the different choice except dark, milk chocolate, maple and strawberry. I have tried them all and I would say that maple and strawberries are a bit too sweet for me. But they are a great change when you have taken the Belgium milk chocolate forever. I think they have around 10 chocolate dips. I am sure there is one to suit your fancy.

They have lots of different chocolate dip options in european chocolate or regular. They have their own version of a blizzard, as well as soft serve and hard ice cream. I got a vanilla cone dipped in the european milk chocolate hazelnut. I got the size small but it was much bigger than I thought. I don't know when this started happening but either the ice cream sizes are getting bigger or I just can't handle as much ice cream as I used to.
