Food is good, esp the sweet chili salmon and the grilled asparagus. Good variety for such a small space. Prices are high. Service at the deli/hot food counter is excellent, but not good at checkout. The regular checker barely says hello, tho the older woman is quite friendly, but no one helps you bag your food, which holds up the one check stand. With McCaffrey's gourmet market now around the corner, they should step up this part of the service. read more

Modified day of Cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan ended with a very good cheesesteak. I guess I should not be surprised there is a very good cheesesteak in Gladwyne. This cheesesteak sat in the wrapper for 2 hours and it was still very good. There was a very good amount of very good meat. The meat was a bit thicker slice and very tasty. Very good amount of very well melted cheese. The extras added very good flavor. 2 hours in the wrapper affected the roll but it was hanging in there. read more

I have been coming to the Gladwyne Market for years. Whenever I come, I always get high quality, delicious food with great staff! The store is also very clean and was renovated it's in the past years. When you walk into the Gladwyne Market you are greeted by the sight of their fresh baked goods including breads and bagels on your right. While on your left you will see a variety of snacks including chips and popcorn and some cookies! After that is the good stuff including their hot and cold counters. I usually don't get too much at the cold food section, but I occasionally will pick up one of their salads. They tend to be very good. However, the best stuff comes from their hot food section. Their turkey london broil, hanger steak, chicken parmesan, chicken marsala and more are all out of the world! It's so good that I occasionally have them after parties of mine! After that, you leave the market section of the store and head to the deli, produce, etc. section. In between the two areas is a stand where free samples are given out! The deli section here is solid. They can make a delicious hoagie with a variety of different, quality meats. The hoagies also come with chips! Finally, they have the section with produce, desserts and occasionally sushi and other items. The produce section is small, but all of the products are very fresh and of nice quality. They also have some tomato pies for sale that the regular customers love! The desserts are a hit or miss here, but you can usually find that one amazing item whether it be a piece of cake, a pastry or something else. The checkout lines can get a bit long as their is only one cashier. However, they have a large variety of cold drinks and other snacks by the cashier, which you can get while you wait. I highly recommend you get one of the great, fresh soft pretzels at checkout. The braided ones they have are amazing! They taste like they are fresh out of South Philly! The staff here is also really nice and helpful. One time I accidentally spilled some of the steak I ordered and the man behind the counter happily replaced it! The cashiers are usually young, but nice. My only concern, is that this place can be a bit pricey, but it is worth it due to the high quality food! I frequently get lunch from the Gladwyne Market. Cost is reasonable for the quality of deli and prepared foods they provide. It can be a bit cramped so I recommend calling ahead for pick up. I've never seen a menu, I always just ask and they provide. read more

This place used to be an "ehhhh " I'll pass , stop in and get a coke type of spots if i am thirsty. I do agree with Steve this place did a FULL 180 . Their previous hoagies the rolls they used were sub par... (Sorry Amoroso .. not a fan) Its like they got hit with a dose of wake up or get out lets put a different store in here. It is a lot cleaner, more open, friendlier staff.. and better sandwiches. If you are not in a sandwich mood go with some of their other dishes.. the chicken is better, they have an anti pasta spread which is pretty good. The rolls is seeded almost , well pretty close to a sarcone roll, the meats are better.. better taste to it, they use fresh shredded lettuce, before they used to let that sit in a dish over night and have that mushy metallic taste. Everything from the fresh squeezed juice to the sushi to the deli is consistently fresh and delicious. Specialty items and baked goods can't be beat! I really like Gladwyne Market. It's a small market that has your typical snacks and deli meats, as well as a kitchen that makes food and sets it out for anyone to buy. The deli is by far my favorite part: I normally get a roast beef sandwich, but the deli provides all types of sandwiches, ranging from sausage egg and cheese to hoagies and turkey specials. I've been to this place probably 100 times as i use to work nearby. The food is always consistant. Not always the best, but consistant. The staff is all so nice and friendly, they also have great sushi. Beware, the woman who works their register during the week can be exteremly difficult to handle. read more
