I made an appointment ahead of time for a haircut and explained that I wanted thick, full side bangs. My hair was cut wet and I skipped the blow-dry. The next morning, I looked at my hair and was really appalled at the results. The bangs were both too short and skimpy and no amount of styling could fix them. I called back immediately and explained that I was not happy with how it turned out and whether or not I could get a refund, full or even partial at that point. One of the owners spoke to me and said a refund would be impossible. She offered a touch-up but the last thing I wanted to do is take more hair off at that point. I brought up the fact that throughout my haircut, the hairstylist would actually brush my eyelids and have her entire hand in my face. The co-owner gave me a litany of excuses, blaming my straight hair. I've had haircuts at other places and no one else found it necessary to get so close as to smudge my eyeliner. The hair stylist also dropped her scissors twice throughout the haircut. Finally, I skipped the blow-dry, like I mentioned. The entire process, talking to the hairstylist, wetting down my hair, and getting it cut took less than 30 minutes. The total cost was $30.

I could share pictures of these things, I could even share videos with you, but nothing I could share with you would equate to you experiencing these things yourself. And that is the case with the Couples Massage & Facial treatment at Iridescence Salon and Spa! Karen and Veronica provided our services. Karen performed our massages and Veronica our facial treatments. The expertise these ladies exhibited was exquisite! They both were very amicable and very professional. Karen provided me with an awesome massage while Veronica provided my companion with a facial treatment. My massage was firm and direct on the muscles in my neck and back as needed and then firm and gentle when appropriate. Karen is a Master at this craft. I would be remiss if I did not share with you that my massage was so relaxing, I dosed off to sleep several times during my massage and only awoke when I startled myself by the sound of my snoring! I was too comfortable to be embarrassed. In fact, I was told that slumber during a massage is a compliment to the level of treatment being provided by the masseuse. Well, if that is the case, I was full of compliments during Karen's treatment! When my massage was completed and my companion's facial treatment was done, Karen and Veronica switched tables. I then received the facial treatment as my companion received her massage. Veronica, not to be outdone by Karen, provided me with a refreshing, pore opening facial treatment. Veronica explained the phases of the treatment as she performed them. This was my first facial treatment at Iridescence, and it will not be my last. As I mentioned there are several steps involved in this process. When all was said and done my face felt clean, fresh, and vibrant. I know, that may sound a bit peculiar, but as I wrote at the beginning of this review, there are some things you must experience in person in order to gain the full and true appreciation of the event.
