We did not experience this at all on the ancient Japan trip. It was actually below the less expensive experiences we had with other groups such as backroads , Nat geo and my sobeck. Our first week, in South Africa, was covered...so I wanted to go with a solid company to hit up Botswana and Zambia. We'd used Kensington Tours before, but had a rather sour taste in our mouth from the experience. The FIRST thing we discovered is that Wilderness Safaris (and Wilderness Air) pretty much locked down Botswana - everyone uses them, so it made choices a bit easier. After a month or so of interviews, we ended up going with GeoEx. They gave us reasonable pricing, and were VERY prompt at addressing specific questions. After signing with them, they promptly sent us specific info about our trip, including a complete (but prelim) itinerary. Bonus - a month before we left, we got a care package from them. It included two HEAVY duty canvas rucksacks, a nice guide book on Botswana and Zambia, and reading material for the plane (of course, the plot was centered in Botswana). It also included our final itinerary. And finally, it included a nice touch - a "free" emergency insurance plan, in case "something" happened with in the bush. We completed the trip - no issues, no hassles, everything was spot on. After our return, Starla (our agent) reached out to us to check on the trip - nice touch!). DEFINITELY would use them again, and absolutely recommend them with no reservations.

We met at monument circle and unfortunately it was very loud (a band playing that you could hear all over the circle and motorcycles enjoying the weather). Our guide did the best he could to talk over. I can't wait to research some of the stories. We ended our tour at Slippery Noodle with a small surprise and the best stories. The bar offered free cover for attendees so we took advantage. I'd recommend the tour, but I recommend reading the site so you know what to expect.

He gave us an overview as to what we should expect on this tour. Please be aware that most of the tour will be outdoors, so dress appropriately. Unfortunately it was mighty chilly on my tour and we all froze. Regardless of the weather, the tour was very informative. Loved the background stories. At each location we heard about the activities that go on to this day, as well as the tragedy that happened at the location, which may have led to the hauntings. The tour ended at St. Joseph's, where we were able to warm up a bit. And what better way to end the tour than with a stop in a former church turned brewery with it's own haunts.

We certainly felt grateful to hear of this city's amazing history. We went to the Speedway, heard about the famous authors, Brad Tarkington, Silverstein, Kurt Vonnegut and saw some beautiful architecture which included Monument Circle, museums, the theatres along Mass Ave, and the canal.

Not Ms. Carrie! She is out there hitting the road, enlightening visitors and showing the sights of Indianapolis to a appreciative audience. Circle City Tours is very flexible and will work with your schedule and timeline. I was picked up downtown for the tour but for a slight fee, Carrie dropped me off at an Airport hotel. I was grateful for her immense knowledge of the city, particularly historical facts. LOVED the trek through lovely Crown Hill cemetery, which is not morbid at all. Carrie pointed out the many grave sites of noted politicians, authors, artists, ex-Presidents and the locally prominent who lie in repose there. The Civil War burial section was also very touching. Ms. Carrie pointed out magnificent churches, memorials, art and children's museum, local eateries (Shapiro's Deli=yummy!) and the White River State Park area. We even got to check out all the Christmas decorations up at the Indy Speedway. She packs a lot into the 3-hour tours but when it's over, you feel a sense of accomplishment that you learned so much about Indianapolis-- a city made all the more beautiful than it already is, by the beautiful ministrations of Carrie and Circle City Tours. 5 YELP STARS.
