I have been to the "Glasnevin Market " on quiet a few occasions and i would have to say I find it quiet pleasurable.. Maybe Grainne you just caught it on a bad day..
I have purchased quiet a few items from "TK Micks"(Tracksuits, Runners,T-Shirts) and he is quiet a charming man, so helpful.
I have also got my house blinds supplied & fitted by a lovely man from one of the stalls outside, and would have to say I couldn't be happier with the end result..( I also noticed the was a man beside him that supplied and fitted radiator covers & I think he also fitted wardrobes and kitchens)
On the way in to the market there are 3 or 4 stalls right at the front that do a wide range of things...fresh fruit and veg...household items(toiletries, detergent, cleaning stuff) & there was a lot of children's toys and household gadgets on another!!!
Fresh homemade cakes, handmade glass, second hand books and DVDs, Cd's...
There is also a large stall that sells Make Up, Gift sets, and a mix of beauty products...
I cant think off hand what else is there, Oh Fresh Flower's a mini market( milk, crisps biscuits, tin foil, candles garden stuff, household..) & I'm sure there's a man that sells Boxing, Tennis, and more sports stuff..
So I would say there is a WIDE variety of stalls, and I would have to say the stall holders are ever so nice..
There is also a lovely cafe that has delicious scones, and hot and cold food..
I would say its well worth a look... read more
