Love, Love, Love this place! I am honestly surprised that there are any negative reviews at all here - I think that some of them are of the old location (karate studio) instead of here. Anyhow, I started here about a week and a half ago and love it. The instructors really push you to get outside of your comfort zone and are very motivational. The workouts change daily so there is always something different on the agenda. All the staff there seem really nice - I never feed judged and always feel like it is a welcome environment! I wish I had nice things to say. I was looking forward to working out here after I bought a trial. I soon found out I was pregnant and didn't feel comfortable going in. I even relayed the message to one of their employees via email/text. The trial expired after a year and their employees still texted me to come in without ever mentioning that my trial had expired. Plus, by then I've already forgotten about it expiring. Long story short, they don't do refunds, they wont let you apply your balance towards another trial or try to help you in any other way even when they're in the wrong. read more

As so many others have said....watch out, it's a scam! I purchased a $20 3 class trial. The first class is barely a class at all and they attempt to talk you into purchasing a $50 a WEEK class package which only allows you to go to 3 classes a week. So in my eyes you'd need to join another gym to workout on the other days. And the worst part is the classes really don't work with my schedule so when I finally got around to trying to sign up for the second class I paid for they told me I couldn't because the pass expired after two weeks. read more

This place is a rip off. Took my $200 for a 21 day transformation program. They take your money up front. They could not provide the services offered and refuse to refund my money. Offered a 2 week try the gym out vs the 6 weeks offered to me originally. Staff is unfriendly and act very entitled. I've been a member of many gyms, this is my first horrible experience! Spend your money elsewhere!!! Definitely not worth what they charge! They don't care about the clients. They act like they do. Only care about their money. One star for the "6-week free kickboxing classes" You guys are marketing to people who are looking to change their lives for some reason, a lot of those people being very vulnerable about their weight or self confidence or whatever it is they want to change about their bodies. To advertise a free class and then try to use sales tactics to get peoples money is wrong. I understand, this is a business, you need to make money, but to advertise such a miracle option to vulnerable individuals, some of whom maybe can't find the right gym because they can't afford it, is so wrong. The owner is a very smart guy, he's very persuasive, but unfortunately it is not to help people, it is to make money. It's honestly pretty sad. Do better. read more

really? 5 stars? i give them 3, i think thats fair. Personally, i took karate for 7 or so years back in the days, when i was my sons age, now he is going. i gotta say, this is not your typical old world style karate. is that good? call it what you want. giving them belts for going isnt exactly the philosophy you should take with your kids and karate, but hey, you do what you want, ill do etc. karate is about discipline, practice, form, crap like that. this is not so much, well the kid classes weren't, maybe adult classes bring more to the table. i am also not thrilled with their sales tactics. we did the groupon, 10 classes, fair price. to be honest, it was simply an activity that was going to occupy some of their summer until something else came about. we were told that this was a waste and that they needed to be in a track (aka, long term contract) no thanks, pass. anyway, three stars down the middle, if you are looking for something casual this could be for you. read more

This place is a life changer. The classes keep you on your toes and are different from any other gym class! ( I actually have a gym membership and haven't used it since I joined here). I quickly joined a couple of years ago right after my trial kickboxing class. After about a year, I did leave to a local gym in town that was more fitting for my whole family to be involved in financially. Well, after a few months, I decided to come back because I was not happy with the gym and not getting a great workout by attending those classes. Personally, I enjoy the early morning class and just like brushing your teeth, it has become part of my morning routine. If I do need to miss a morning, I feel like my day is "off", but know that I can try to make my family schedule work so I can make a night class. Do not trust the 6 week challenge offer they will not give you your money back. My coach was Becca and I never heard from her, she wasn't even present at the final weigh in, it was until after the challenge was completed that she contacted me to rescind on the promise that was made that I would be refunded when I was last in the studio. You can never reach them when you have a problem, I had to call 4 times and leave multiple messages on Facebook and the app they make you download to find out what time I should even come in on the weigh day. This company is not trustworthy and I wouldn't recommend anyone getting involved with them. read more

By the end of my very first class, I knew that their program was exactly what I had been looking for. I have been working out at home for years and was looking to change things up. Each class is a full body workout and I felt and noticed results after only a few weeks. I never leave without feeling challenged and each week that passes, I grow stronger. In addition to the workouts being an amazing stress reliever, there is the added bonus of the awesome instructors. Everyone is friendly and I've met a great group of people, all while getting fit! All this place cares about it your money. It seems great when you are first starting out. They have perfected the intake. Their policy of "three months notice" to stop payment makes it about $750 per kid to quit. A big incentive to get you to stay. They also charge everyone a different amount based on what they think you will pay. I discussed our payments with 4 friends and we were all paying different monthly prices for the same class. Turns out that they charge a business person or a doctor more than a teacher or police officer. Really ethical. They will run your child through belt after belt - who ever heard of ten levels of red belt? That translates to 30 months of you paying. Take the time to talk to folks who have kids that were at the black belt testing juncture. Almost all will tell you how their child was deemed "not ready" and shuffled through 6 MORE MONTHS of red belt. Even then they don't necessarily let your child test. Owner Mike is never around, and the main female instructor Becca is always screaming insults at the older kids. Totally unprofessional. If you have a daughter, ask yourself if the half naked kick boxing model on the posters is the body image you want for your daughter's psyche. I took my daughter there to focus on what her body could do, not what it "should" look like. This place is totally out for your money, nothing else. They have no training on teaching kids. Kids should be grouped by age, not belt. Kids should never be humiliated in front of the class on purpose. I watched a child have to do 100 jumping jacks in front of everyone bc his shoulder accidentally touched the back wall. Give me a break. This isn't seal training. Do yourself a favor and don't get trapped here! read more
