I really miss the previous owner. They didn't nickel and dime me and the "bao" was so much fluffier. New owners: Today I ordered 2 gourmet donuts, 2 glazed, and 4 Rancheros. I asked for a box instead of the wrapped plastic tray and 2 paper bags they put it in since I'll be giving them to a client. They hesitated and said the boxes are all too big for them. Confused because there were small boxes... they then asked me to pay .50 cents for the box. I don't mind but I did spend $25 and would expect the box for free. Ordered the bacon, egg, cheese kolache and the sausage, egg, cheese kolache a total of 6. They even had the B and S baked into the bread to be able to identify what was what. The team loved them. I stopped by Glazed Doughnut Shop hoping to try the crème brûlée donut, only to find out they're only available on weekends. I decided to stay and order something else, but the experience quickly went downhill. I waited at the counter for about five minutes without being acknowledged. An employee was making coffee right in front of me the entire time but never greeted me or looked up. I could hear other staff talking in the back, but no one came out to help. The display case was more than half empty, leaving very few options to choose from. With only one other customer sitting at a table, the shop wasn't busy--just inattentive. If you're placing a large order, you can call 30 minutes ahead of time and they should be able to hold your order. I read a review about the bad-customer service, how they are all about money. I found my experience to make that clear for me.. I had driven 3 times only to be told they were out. I decided to call ahead this time, the young lady answered I confirmed order then I was told the line was long and was rushed off the phone. It only takes a few seconds to speak to a customer kindly you should never tell a customer my line is long I have to go. I couldn't believe what I heard. I thought that was very rude. If you are looking for a place to grab something quick for breakfast on your way to work, pick up breakfast for the family, or treat your co-workers to a box of goodies, this is your spot! My personal favorites would be the ham and cheese croissants, the cheese danish, and the red velvet donut with cream cheese frosting. The donuts are good however, they run out of donuts kinda fast on Saturdays. Lol The owner is very nice and gives recommendations. The place looks ok. I bet in the past that the refrigeration section used to be fully stocked and they made more donuts. But with the way prices have increased on everything they prob had to cut back themselves. read more

Good and delicious donuts and not too pricey I was passing through to get some coffee from Starbucks before I headed back to Houston and wanted a kolache. Got me a dozen donut holes (1/2 glazed and 1/2 chocolate iced I had never seen this option for donut holes). I also had 2 chocolate iced regular donuts and a sausage kolache. Whoa. I came around 9am on a Friday and they were almost wiped out! This is such a cute place but I almost missed it, had I not seen the sign. They can't really be seen from the street. There are tables and a cute little reading nook that looked really cozy! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese meal in one and also a Philly cheese steak with a regular glazed donut. All I can say is WOW. The bacon egg and cheese was loaded and the Philly cheese steak was flavorful due to the bell pepper. I was so pleasantly surprised that neither of them were oily. I would keep looking at my hands because I'm so used to other placed being super oily, so this was mess free and AWESOME. So this is our second time coming here and my wife and I had forgotten how we felt the first time. My biggest tip is to come early because in reading the reviews, I'm under the impression that when they run out of stuff, they don't keep making more. Also, don't come expecting all the incredible-looking meals that you see in the pics. They don't make the sliders, waffles, breakfast hash etc anymore. None of that stuff. However, the little they had was still good, which is why we're giving 3 stars. It's a nice little joint...more like the chic look but it could be kept a bit cleaner. It looks like it's slowly starting to lose the charm that once was there. The service was ok. There were only a handful of donuts to pick from. There were 2 donuts with sprinkles and with 3 kids wanting the same thing... we had to share. There was one ranchero kolache so we got that as well as a sausage egg & cheese kolache, bacon egg & cheese kolache, philly cheese steak kolache and traditional jalapeño kolache. They all tasted good. My wife was still hungry after she ate her ranchero so I can't say that everyone would find it filling but she enjoyed the taste. I would recommend the philly and jalapeño as well. The sausage and bacon ones were mediocre. Nothing wow about those at all. Overall, I think it's a good place. Worthy of being checked out. Wish we would've gotten there earlier instead of at 11am. They had plenty of plain glazed donuts so if kolaches and plain glazed are your thing...you won't be disappointed. read more

Not your average! They have any type of donut you can think of, & then some! Their donuts are equivalent to meals! I had the maple bacon donut & the raspberry cream donut. The maple bacon one, sweet to the core but in a good way. Lots of bacon on top, the maple is good as well. Then, the raspberry cream, it may be a little messy but it's worth it. The creamy inside kicks it up a notch along with the raspberry drizzle on top. They also serve all types of coffee, tea & sweets. The lady who runs this place is super sweet. It's changed over the years but anytime I am in the area in the morning I make an effort to stop by. They have awesome kolaches! These are different, they have breakfast ones and others like Italian chicken that you can grab for lunch! The ham & swiss cheese croissants here for breakfast. They are a good size & remind me of my childhood. Ooey & gooey when you bite into it but super flakey on the outside. I usually come on a weekday 7:30 am. I'm usually the only one in line, but if you come on a Friday they are 'busy'. There is 2 people working but I'm going to say there is really only 1 person in front. I say that because there is an older lady there but she doesn't know how to make a latte and takes a long time to ring up the order in order to pay. So that's why I DON'T come on a Friday. Avoid the line and slow service. I suggest coming Monday Thursday! Price is reasonable. The place is clean and the decor is super cute. read more

Kobe beef sliders. Try them. If they ask if you want egg, say yes. We had two orders. One with and without eggs. The buns are made fresh from scratch. The meat comes out so juicy it's unbelievable. The tots that come with the sliders come with the perfect amount of crispy and some kind of Cajun seasoning. How is this being made at a small Cafe? The chef is really talented. I thought it was really bold of the owners to have this place located right next to a Starbucks. I can't vouch for their coffee at the moment, but the Earl Grey was fair. It appears that all of their tea is bagged, but I can't complain because this may not be their forte. The ham, cheese, and egg croissant was good. There was a lot of ham, which I liked. The overall dish was warm. The cheese wasn't melted at all, and the croissant was soft but not crispy on the outside (FYI I am a croissant snob). I would still order it again though if I was in the area. I definitely loved the kolache. It was a bit different than what I'm use to. The bread wasn't exactly a roll, and it was wrapped around the sausage making it almost like a cigar. I thought the bread to sausage proportion was exact. No leftover bread this time! I was greeted when I entered and someone said goodbye when I left. I have no complaints about the service, my food came out quickly. Whenever I am in town, I have to go to Glazed for their delicious donuts and coffee. Being from the NW, I appreciate good coffee, and I am so glad I can find Stumptown coffee at Glazed. It is so smooth and silky, you must try a cup. I love the way they pair savory and sweet flavors together. Many places serve the bacon and maple combination but there is something special about the one at Glazed. The bacon is extra flavorful and crisp, the donut is light and fluffy, and the maple flavor compliments it nicely. The decor of these shops are so adorable as well. FINALLY! My stomach has been introduced to maple bacon doughnuts! Okay, let's start off by the name of this place. Doughnuts... Not DONUT. It's the sign of a pretty legit doughnut shop! The place is very cute, modern English I'd say. My boyfriend and I had the maple bacon OFCOURSE, donutella, cookies and cream & banana cream. The maple bacon was nothing I've ever had before. The bacon was perfectly cooked, it complemented the maple icing perfectly. I also tried the donutella, it's so good warmed!! My boyfriend mentioned the cookies and cream was disappointing and it was his least favorite. The banana cream was good, not great. I also had a chai latte and it was pretty good for the price. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 stars was because my boyfriend got expired milk! It was one of those grab and go bottles from Promised Land... They replaced it without charge (obvi).
