I just went for my driving test today, Oct. 27, 2016. I passed with a perfect mark. I was shocked! I do owe Mr. Serj for his patient and his expertise. He is great! I do recommend him to everyone who wish to pass with safe driving skills. I have researched many places before I picked up the phone to call Glendale Driving School. I live in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Around here have many driving facilities, but I don't believe they care much about how your driving skills during your lessons and the skills you retain after the test. Mr. Serj is a very well and caring and trusting man. He does not let me slug off. He make sure I do everything right... he make sure that I do get things right. He has more confident in me, than I have in myself. I signed up for 6 hours package, but after 15 min. driving on the first day, the instructor said I only need 4 hours. This credit him as a very honest person. My major recommendation for everyone is to take the package "Driving Test" package. It is worth every penny. Remember, it takes two to tango. My girlfriend recommended me to take driving lessons from Serj. Fast forward, 1 month later, I passed my driving test on my first attempt, and I am extremely satisfied with the service and glad that I chose Glendale Driving School. I took 6 hours of driving lessons and paid to use Serj's car for the test, which comes with an additional one hour "review lesson" right before the test; this was very helpful since I don't have a car and my last 2 hour driving lesson was almost 2 weeks prior to the test day. Serj has been a driving instructor for about 20 years if I remember correctly, so he is very professional and knowledgeable about driving and what it takes to pass the test. Out of the 15 mistakes that I could have gotten during the test, I only got 4 minor mistakes, and they were all because I was a little bit nervous at first. There were no surprises whatsoever; he prepared me for everything I needed to be prepared for. Serj was a very helpful, patient, and respectful instructor. Although his car was heating up on our way to the DMV and he had to park It somewhere, he bought us an Uber back to his other car and offered me $20 off and I still made it in time for my appointment. This is my first time being with an instructor considering the fact that I've never been to driving school. I could say that having Serj as my instructor was the most helpful source to not only passing my driving test, but being a safe driver. He was so genuine and uplifting. He has great vibes and his method of teaching was very helpful. I'm a more visual learner and he broke down every single detail. Serj taught me tips and tricks that I'm most likely going to remember every time I drive. He's so patient and a great person overall. Glendale Driving School is the best quality driving school anyone can go to. Honestly I am not the type to sit and write reviews for people because I just don't have the time since I am a student and I also work full time, but this school deserves my time. The office girl was super nice and she helped me set my appt even though I called so late and she made everything so simple. I went to another school, I don't want to mention the name, but it was a complete waste of my money especially since I work at the mall. After coming to Glendale Driving School, I am so happy, finally I could park, lol. Serj teaches very good and he is so nice. He will explain everything in detail and I liked the fact that he cares about you being a safe driver and not like other schools they just care about your money. Living in NYC during the school year I was sceptical that I would be able to receive my drivers licence before I went back to the city for school. Once I arrived in LA I tried to schedule an appointment with the DMV; however, due to their busy schedule I was unable to make an appointment before the 15th which is when I was headed back to the New York. I figured I would take my driving lessons before I went back just so I wouldn't have to do them the next time. I called up Serj and told him about my situation and and before we scheduled our six hours he said that he would work out my appointment with the DMV. Learning how to drive with Serj was a great experience and I was thoroughly impressed with his extremely effective teaching as well as his flexibility. My mom recommended me to take driving lessons with Serj because according to her he is the best ,which is true! It was a great pleasure to drive with him. He is very nice and kind to his students he makes a lot of jokes and never makes you get bored while you're driving . I must say and Im already sure of this, if Serj is your instructor you'll pass . Serj will bring the best in you. He is the best mentor. At first, I thought driving is a skill that's very hard to learn. But this guy made it easy for me! As a professional, he is always on time and he's easy to understand as well. Since day one he helped all through everything, fitting our schedule, and setting my appointment for the behind the wheel driving test. He explains everything, tells your mistakes so you can work on it and even review you before the actual exam. Also, if you are good to him he might even sing to you while you're driving . I would give Serj more than five stars if I could! Because of COVID-19, I was unfortunately unable to take lessons back-to-back, and I had switched off between multiple instructors. When I was finally able to take my behind-the-wheel test, I wanted a little more practice. I searched through Yelp for a new instructor, and read all the wonderful things written about Serj, which did not do his work justice! After only three lessons with Serj, I was able to learn more than I had with all my other instructors combined. He provides high quality instructions in great detail that have helped not only pass my test, but have also made me a skillful driver. He was kind and considerate, but also cautious and critical. Mr. Serj is the BEST driver instructor out there!!! He is so detailed in everything he explains and makes sure you get it right. For example, if I made a turn to wide, he would make me pull over and on his paper he would explain to me exactly what I did wrong and how to correct it next time. He is so polite and funny!! He always makes jokes, which makes you feel more comfortable while you drive. Also, he makes sure you are NOT scared to drive on the streets and especially on the freeway. Serj is one of the nicest friendliest people I have ever met. He saw me at VERY short notice and took me for my test. He is very funny and charming and offers his expert driving advice in a knowledgeable yet never patronising or moody way, like some instructors do. He squeezed in a quick emergency lesson before my test to build my confidence. His car is very lovely and modern and clean and easy to drive. He even sweet-talked my examiner! - and thanks to all his help (and a little luck!) I passed first time. Best part - I had to REMIND HIM to let me pay for his services! I decided to go with Glendale Driving School after reading all of the positive reviews here. I'm happy to say the reviews didn't steer me wrong (get it?) Serj is great! I'm very happy I went here to learn. He teaches you clever techniques, is very friendly and has you learning to drive in no-time. After one lesson i was already way more comfortable behind the wheel. You have the option to use his car on the test and he'll also help set up your driver's test appointment which is a huge help if you dont know your way around a DMV. Serj, who is the owner and main driving instructor of this business was so patient, funny, and helpful. He would stop and draw on a sketchpad everything you needed to know to be able to drive the correct way. After that he would tell you to go and he would point out your mistakes so you can see and improve on them and after a while he starts complimenting everything you do correctly. Overall great experience and a ton of help. He is one of the very few driving schools in the area that spends time with students driving on the freeway and that was also very useful. I came to Serj with no experience and, with effort from us both and after around 8 hours of lessons, I left with my drivers license!
