I don't know how many times I have called them reporting crime, being a witness to assault on a neighbor, they never arrested the party. I was never interviewed. The cops came in 9 cars they all gathered in the middle of the parking lot and started checking their cell phones and laughing. Person who assaulted the victim of course went free and nothing was done whatsoever. Whenever I called dispatch, 70% of the time they don't send anybody at all. I don't know if dispatch doesn't even report when we call, or if the squad cops refuse to come out. So whatever your problem, if you're assaulted, if you're awoken in the middle of the night by thugs partying , drinking and running amuck outside your windows, criminals have all the rights here and you have absolutely none. In fact, one of them police officers (Jackson), and I use the term sarcastically, told me that he told the perpetrator that he could do it again because he was committing absolutely no crime whatsoever in harassing me, banging down my door and making death threats, and I was pretty much informed that I have no rights. (!) I have to be my own police here and I don't know how many times I have received death threats from Glendale trash. Evidently, you cannot call the trash to ask it to take out the trash. As you guessed it in Glendale California death threats are absolutely legal and they did not commit a crime so they can do it all over again and I am under the impression that they might even be even encouraged by the cops to keep it up, due what Jackson had the gall to tell me. They also do not enforce any gross traffic violations.Traffic signs apparently mean nothing in Glendale and nobody obeys them and the cops couldn't care less. Last year, I was also assaulted by the same thugs that assaulted my neighbor, and of course they never arrested anybody, nothing was done whatsoever. ZERO STARS - Officer Josh Luna of Glendale police laughed in my face hysterically while leaning on my vehicle and reaching his arms inside without permission (violating the Constitution) when I politely and professionally told him that I was a disabled Veteran and took an Oath to honor the Constitution and not answer questions which infringe upon my civil liberties and violate my Oath. He continued bullying me attempting to make me give up my rights. He failed to uphold his Oath to the Constitution. He then got upset and retaliated at me for verbally defending my rights and later forced open my door and told me to get out so we could talk. He lied about having a simple conversation about my rights and then detained me for nearly 20 minutes forcing me to do a lengthy series of unnecessary DUI tests when he had no probable cause to believe I could even be 1% intoxicated. I then told him I suffered severe spinal and hip injuries during the military and he could verify that information with the VA and I asked to stop the physical tests and take a breathalyzer test to prove I was sober and to stop being harassed and that I was feeling pain and discomfort from the tests. Officer Josh Luna denied me that request on multiple occasions and continued to force me to undergo his unnecessary physcial tests. His supervisor failed to intervene on his Unconstitutional and Illegal activity. Later, as a third officer approached and Officer Josh Luna ran out of ridiculous tests for me to do, he told me that he realized just now that I wasn't in any way intoxicated. I then told him in front of his supervisor and the other officer present that it isn't right to laugh at citizens of Glendale or military Veterans who have fought to protect the freedoms we have who express their civiil liberties. All of the sudden, it wasn't so hysterically funny to Officer Josh Luna when other officers were around to know about his actions. This person is a disgrace to the Glendale police force and is a bully with a badge and a gun. He has no respect for citizens, the law, the Constitution nor his Oath and especially Veterans. I have now lost all respect for the Glendale police. I have his actions recorded on two separate audio and video recording devices and will share it with the world and hold the city and department accountable with employing such a bad police officer. The Police who are paid to keep our lovely city of Glendale safe are the absolute worst law enforcers I have had the displeasure of ever coming across. I am a business professional. I work and go to school meanwhile achieving the highest honors. I am not a person who by anyone could be perceived as a threat or danger of any sort. Police officers pulled into a convenience store parking lot where I had been standing in line to purchase myself a slice of pizza. There were a few people hanging out in the parking lot which they made leave. This is very understanding, because what those individuals were doing was loitering which is illegal and punishable by law. I then walked out of the store and began eating the pizza that I had just purchased when the "rookie" officer told me I had to leave the parking lot. I said yes I would leave after I finished eating my slice of pizza and going back inside to buy myself a drink because I was also parched. The officer told me "if I was going to get a drink I should have gotten it immediately with the pizza and that I can't eat my slice of pizza I can only buy it and leave. Now I know my law book and I know that this is untrue. No one at the business had complained saying I was loitering nor would they mind me making multiple transactions for my pizza and beverage. Also it is more than okay for me to eat my pizza in the store, but since I have stepped out now that apparently means I am loitering. I asked the officer if he could stop harassing me when an older officer stepped out of the car and asked me what I said. I repeated that I was hoping that they wouldn't harass me. At this point he asked why I thought I was being harassed. I explained to the officer how I was here alone and that I only had business intentions at the establishment and not to "hang out". At this point they took all my things sat me down on the curb tied my hands back and began writing me a ticket for loitering. They had initially told me it was in infraction. They took a very long time to write the ticket and when they came back it turned out that it was a misdemeanor violation. At this point in time they were prepared to ruin the next seven years of my professional life. At the end I saw both cops secretly whisper a few words back and forth came back to me untied me and told me that if I promised to not "Loiter" again that they would rip the ticket up. Sucking up my pride I shook his hand and told him I would never come back to this store again especially due to the fact that I might run into these criminals again. That is what I would like to describe these two officers as and there is no better term than to call them criminals. They fed off of my sorrows and had a great time pushing me around while actual crimes are going around. I have had a couple interactions with the Glendale Police Department regarding domestic violence. I hope that people will read this and keep in mind that the officers may not be on your side or be willing to even listen to your situation. Based on my experience, the officers I have interacted with seemed to be sexist and uneducated about domestic violence. During a call to my home they asked my partner his side of the story first, then when they spoke with me they did not allow me to explain my view. They interrupted me when I was telling them the events and they said that it was not correct because it contradicted what my partner told them. When I explained that my partner had threatened and attacked me they did not believe me because there was no bruising at the time, and one of the officers told me that "he can say anything he wants to you [me]". (Verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse is domestic violence and does not leave physical evidence). I told them that this was not the first time he had threatened and attacked me. The officer threatened me saying that it was serious to make false claims, so I gave him evidence of the previous time my partner had attacked me. I was pregnant at the time; do you know that 1:5 pregnant women are abused? Are the police aware of that? And if so why did not consider what I was telling them or even ask me if I wanted to press charges? Afterwards I went over the report that was filed and even the details regarding how my partner and I met, etc. were incorrect. It was obvious that the officers did not listen to anything that I said. A second interaction with the police was when I filed a report at the station. I told the officer that my partner was again careful not to leave bruises and he responded very skeptically. I asked him on the phone before coming in if I am supposed to stay and wait around until my partner beats me before I can report something? He didn't have a response for me to that. I went in to file the report and they never followed up with my partner. Without getting into any more detail, I want to warn women out there. If you are in an abusive situation beware! The Glendale Police may not help you or even consider what you are saying unless you are bloody, bruised or dead. I have been married to an officer and have officers as friends in other states. I told them about my situation and they were shocked about the officers' conduct. So, I have hope that the response from Glendale police officers is not normal. If you are abused in Glendale, go to a domestic violence shelter where you can get help. Especially if you are experiencing abuse that does not leave physical evidence and/or if your abuser is good at not leaving evidence on your body. In my experience, going to the Glendale Police is a mistake!!! At a shelter there will be other people that will look out for you and hold the police accountable, and then (maybe) the police will take you seriously. read more

They then proceed to tell me to back away from the vehicle because they have reasonable suspicion to search my car, I locked it real quick and put my keys in my pocket. I hope they and their family die of cancer. I gave them false information but they still had my registration so I now have a suspended license for doing absolutely nothing illegal. I could tell you a story about catching my 5 yo daughter dialing 911 and they were at my home in less than 60 seconds although unbelievable rude I get it. I can tell you about a guy breaking into a car at 3:30 am in front of my house and the officers were there in 30 seconds. Amazing! However.... I did get a 250$ ticket for running through a little side street crosswalk with a flashing hand on a green light running to Virgil's for an emergency plumbing situation. That's just the tip of the iceberg I DIGRESS. My huge issue is how Glendale PD nit pics on pedestrians and bike riders, people with dumb car things. Lights and stickers. I speak not from too much experience I've only gotten 2 tickets from 13 yrs of driving. But have been stopped for a good 50 times & counting. They are so horrible & ruthless. I have had to call the police dept 4 times in 1 night in order to have someone finally arrested who was clearly on druggs. Harrassing me & threatening me at my own house. After almost being killed that person was finally arrested. What type of keeping the peace or serving to protect don't these officers understand? Instead I have been scolded, spoken to like I am not a victim when I clearly was, mocked for that matter & they thought I was lying when there were witnesses & evidence of destruction of property. I remember in 2014 I got pulled over and my two passengers were pulled out of my car and said they fit the description of people tagging because they're Hispanic. I told the cops why they're wasting our time and he then told me to get out of my car too and said he's pulling me over for my break lights being out when THEY WERE NOT. The people leaving positive reviews are related to the police or affiliated with them. So that's not legitimate. Glendale is safe because of all of the statistics that tend to make cities in America safe - not the police department. It's a stable city with money where mostly families reside. I'm not saying that makes it better - I don't care one way or another for Glendale and I grew up here - but it isn't safe BECAUSE of the police. The police are safe BECAUSE of the city. Pounding at the door to be answered by some snotty young cop, "calm down, I can't understand you..." while we were POUNDING AND SCREAMING FOR HELP. 3-4 minutes, the entire PD spills out. Guess I interrupted a coffee break. You know what is in the lobby now? A police museum I guess only they have access to. Last Thursday or Friday night 6 ish, 10 PD cars detained (exactly) 2 young women at the Broadway Ralphs.. really? All that presence for 2 young women. All kinds of public were in the parking lot laughing at the cops and the spectacle they created. BTW, this is not the first time I have observed Glendale PD detain women without a woman cop. This would be the third time in the last few years I have observed male Glendale PD engage with a female for a lenghtly period of time without the presence of a female cop. This is inappropriate and they know it. I walk my dogs in the early morning 6sih when the homeless are becoming active and aggitated, cops around then - no. But this morning, 8 cop go screaming down Broadway, driving like maniacs to line up outside In & Out. Must have been a homeless guy in the alley. I personally had a neighbor from hell call the cops on me for taking a pic. The prick cop came to my door POUNDING 'Glendale PD - come to the door!" For the possibility I took a pic. Seriously? To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally report a concerning incident involving the drivers of law enforcement vehicles CAF 093 and CAF 095 observed on Glenoaks Blvd and Pacific Ave. The officer operating vehicle 093 was seen using a cell phone while driving, tailgating, and making unsafe lane changes. These actions are not only dangerous but also illegal for any driver, regardless of occupation. The officer in vehicle 095 was observed driving at excessive speeds, weaving between vehicles without using turn signals, and nearly causing a collision. Such behavior demonstrates a lack of regard for public safety. Both individuals appeared to be driving recklessly while in separate units but operating closely together. Their actions reflect poorly on the department and raise serious concerns about whether they are upholding the safety standards expected of law enforcement. I urge your department to review this matter and consider appropriate safety retraining for the officers involved. Having a badge should not be perceived as a license to disregard traffic laws or put others at risk. Accountability is essential -- especially for those sworn to protect and serve. I HATE THIS TOWN AND ITS LAW ENFORCEMENT. This town has 7 miles radius and around 400 and some office that are on duty to make your life a living hell and harass you. period. if you are passing through this town expect the peace officers to pull you over and lie to you saying that your center brake light is out or your brake light is out and they are warning you but nothing is actually wrong they MUST, NEED, Are DESPERATE to harass you, hey who else will put dough on the table for there family PEOPLE. Keep in mind the whole cities income is from this they have no tourism so they need to make money some how. Glendale claims to be a safe town but it is not a lot of crooked activities happens in Glendale. I have never had a good Experience with Glendale Police Dept. even if you call in and ask a question, it is like you always owe them something.
