The location is a little tough as the roads in Terry leave a lot to be desired, HOWEVER the owner drove to the Cenex station and escorted us to the campground via the smoothest, easiest way. This is a small campground with some pull thru sites. We were far enough from the freeway to not have to listen to the truck noise. There were plenty of shade trees. Full hook ups were also a plus, however their locations were off at least at our site. The biggest negative was the bathrooms. They were clean and functional, but had not been updated in about 50 years. The showers left a lot to be desired. Overall, I would stay here again. The price was fair ($25+tax).

We had a site next to people who were staying there long term, but they put an empty site between us for privacy. That left our site feeling quite spacious. The campground was quiet. There are train tracks nearby, but they were not running overnight when we were there. The bathrooms and laundry were clean with an odd layout, but plenty of space. We would stay here again for the friendliness of the office and the clean facilities.

For a campground that boasts lovely cottonwood trees, we were dismayed that the east side tent spots lacked consistent shading. We checked in on a Tuesday and leaving by Friday, so why not give us a prime shady location? Maybe Medora you could note that on your website- tent, no shade, near the berm, etc. I would have paid the extra implied cost to have a reliably shady tent space. Bathrooms were not at all like other reviews described. They were clean and well draining. And they were convenient for the tent campers. I loved that the river was accessible. We did lots of Little Muddy swimming and rock exploiting. So cool to be right next to TRNP. I will camp here again. In an RV, or note the shady request in my reservation request.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park far exceeded my expectations in the best way possible! This…read moreNational Park is off the beaten path and well worth the visit. We only saw the North Unit on our visit so we will definitely have to visit more at a later date. While visiting I felt so at peace and love that it's not overcrowded like other National Parks and that you really feel surrounded by nature and wildlife. We enjoyed driving along the scenic path and soaking in the stunning views! We saw cannonball concretions, stunning views from the overlooks along the way, and saw lots of bison. There are lots of hiking trails to explore and we saw deer. We look forward to coming back and hopefully seeing wild horses and prairie dogs. The park is large with so much to see and do. An absolutely gorgeous place to visit that is so underrated! Highly recommend visiting this place!

This visit was a quick ride out at the end of our time off. We went to the North Unit first (has a…read moreseparate page) then on to South Unit (this one) Theodore Roosevelt National Park remains a lesser visited park. No over-crowding, decent rustic camping, lots of wildlife & plenty of space to roam. South Unit loop has a lot of construction going right now, which makes it an out & back va a loop. We spotted plenty of bison, horses, prairie dogs, deer & such. There was a pretty thick layer of smoke lingering, no fault of the park but it did make for a rough outdoor time & lousy landscape photos. I've been a lot of places and have to see a better sunset than I've seen here. It's a great place to unplug & reconnect with nature.

EXCELLENT! I stay at KOA as often as I can. I am a KOA…read moremember. I've stayed at the basic KOA which are always better than a hotel or motel. KOA tends to stand above all other campgrounds. The Miles City Montata KOA id no different. In fact it exceeds all expectations. Ste in a beautiful setting next to the Tongue River in case you like to fish, there's plenty of it going on here. The town itself is a true life western gem and could be the backdrop for a movie. All around a to to offer. The KOA is extremely well appointed exceptionally clean and the cabins and tent site are excellent. Best cabin I ever stayed in. Super clean and quiet. The office is a standout with Tim the grounds manager (I assume) running the show. A huge smile and friendly to every customer i saw walk in. Folks, his is not an easy job, KOA employees work there butts off to provide the best for us and here in Miles City they do it right!. I can't say enough about Tim and his crew. The office and store itself provide all the general amenities, services and offer all the products for purchase you need o have an excellent stay. I enjoyed this KOA so much i had to book a long 3 night stay for next month. You gotta try this one out, REALLY! The franchise owners should be proud!

Very relaxing place to stay, not too far off the road in the tiny little town of Wibaux, Montana. It was very relaxing, easy to get into and out of, and we would definitely stay there again if we pass through Montana on I-94. Note: there is a low train bridge on the main route to their place, so make sure you look at your GPS/map real good.
