EXCELLENT! I stay at KOA as often as I can. I am a KOA member. I've stayed at the basic KOA which are always better than a hotel or motel. KOA tends to stand above all other campgrounds. The Miles City Montata KOA id no different. In fact it exceeds all expectations. Ste in a beautiful setting next to the Tongue River in case you like to fish, there's plenty of it going on here. The town itself is a true life western gem and could be the backdrop for a movie. All around a to to offer. The KOA is extremely well appointed exceptionally clean and the cabins and tent site are excellent. Best cabin I ever stayed in. Super clean and quiet. The office is a standout with Tim the grounds manager (I assume) running the show. A huge smile and friendly to every customer i saw walk in. Folks, his is not an easy job, KOA employees work there butts off to provide the best for us and here in Miles City they do it right!. I can't say enough about Tim and his crew. The office and store itself provide all the general amenities, services and offer all the products for purchase you need o have an excellent stay. I enjoyed this KOA so much i had to book a long 3 night stay for next month. You gotta try this one out, REALLY! The franchise owners should be proud! read more

We drove on a road within the campground while discussing staying there sometime. We were informed in no uncertain terms we were trespassing. Very unwelcoming experience. We will not ever drive within that KOA again. read more

Spacious sites with big trees and all the amenities. Swimming pool, dog park, pavilion with bbqs and seating, laundry (1.75/load), restrooms and showers. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even to texting before our arrival about a low bridge to avoid on our route and later about an expected rain event. We travel in a motorhome and the park was quiet, and though we could hear the train in the distance, it was not loud ( but might be for tent campers/light sleepers). Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it! read more

This is one of the nicest KOA's we've ever stayed at. Laundry is very reasonably priced, beautiful grounds and no road noise (It is 2.5 miles off I-94). Cute little store inside the office. We would come back if in the area. read more

Excellent campground and hosts. It's under new management as of last year and wow, what a difference. I stayed here in 2017 and while it wasn't a "bad" campground back then the new owners have really done wonders with it currently. The amenities are very clean, well kept, and thorough as is the customer service. I rarely give a 5 star review but this campground and the folks that run it do truly deserve it. read more

Registration was easy, moved us to 50 amp pull thru, wonderful location across from beautiful city park ,great area to walk your dogs. Clean generally quite park except for the nightly train that runs all night blowing its horns. There is a store on site, swimming pool,clean on site flush toilet restrooms. Lots of trees old large well trimmned,ready for any big rig or small. Some level ready made areas for tents. Water in Miles is on a boil order currently (8-2023) so do not hook up to it. read more

This KOA in Miles City Montana was so clean with beautiful remodeled bathrooms. Their store was well stocked with souvenirs, food and beer & wine. The staff were very friendly and professional. The common areas were very clean and welcoming. We will definitely stay again. Forgot to mention very dog friendly. read more

My dad and I stayed here on our roadtrip to Glacier. The owners were lovely and helped recommend a restaurant for Father's Day dinner (side note- check out the Montana Bar. We had the best steaks there!) Our tent site was clean and large. Restrooms were close. Yes, they were older, but the shower was hot and water pressure fairly good. We had a very enjoyable stay. People were complaining about the cottonwoods, but it didn't matter to us. We were more grateful for ample shade! read more

Not the most peaceful place, unfortunately the only campground on our way back home from montana, where we could arrive later in the evening. The train goes all night and is really loud. Spaces are short and we barley could fit our 36 feet RV with tow truck. We stayed here in end of september and had no problem with mosquitos. read more

The park is a work in progress. The folks helping us were friendly and interesting to visit with. They said they had just bought the park 6 mi the ago. Many shady sites. Restrooms clean but older. Store carries bits of everything. read more

While visiting my parents in Miles City, we stayed at the Miles City KOA for a week, This KOA is super clean, meticulously maintained, full hookups, nice patio pull thru lot, pool, nice area for kids to play. Many shade trees. The owner is great. He is extremely knowledgeable about the wonderful history of the area. The personnel were mindful of the Covid 19 protocol which helped put us at ease. Yes, there are mosquitos, but if you have lived in the area, you know there Are mosquitos. That's just the way it is. Highly recommend!! read more

Our family made and then cancelled reservations within three hours when we realized the weather was not going to allow for a safe trip to miles city. The storms and visibility would have endangered my toddlers, I explained this to the manager yet was still charged $85 for a cabin we never saw even though they rented it to another family when we cancelled. Profiting this excessively from my family's bad luckis not a very kind thing to do. I am so disappointed in koa since I thought they were a friendly company. They are just another corporation more concerned with policy than people. Again, they did rent our cabin, no lost revenue, in fact, they got double paid. read more

I recently travelled to Miles City for 5 days, and decided to bring along my travel trailer to save a little money and so I could bring my dogs along for the trip. The KOA is located in a scenic and quiet area along the river. It has plenty of mature trees so it is shady and pretty. I walked the dogs along the river which was a short distance on foot and enjoyed the trees and flowers along the dike between the campground and the river. The spaces have grass, a fire pit and a picnic table that can be moved around depending on where you want them, and there is a reasonable distance between the pull through parking pads where we camped. I was expecting mosquitos since we were so close to the river, but in the whole 5 days I think we only saw one or two, and I was not bitten.. The RV pads were very level and had gravel so they did not get very wet or muddy when it rained. All of my hook ups worked well except the cable TV which I could not figure out (I think that I needed a different cable to bring it in, as I could never get it to work, but since we rarely watch TV that was not a big deal). The campground seemed very safe and quiet at night. Most of the other travelers in the campground were in these huge motorhome/buses so you didn't see much of them. My camper is not that big, so I opted to take a shower in their restrooms which were always spotlessly clean and always had hot water. My 10 year old liked the Swimming Pool and the Playground which had a nice sand pit and a metal excavation toywith a mechanical scoop for digging. They also had some unique pedal cars for rent (they said they were $5 for 30 min. but since it wasn't busy they let her keep the car longer so we felt she got her money's worth). The people in the office and small camp store were very friendly and helpful. The campground is a very short walk to the downtown area and the City Swimming Pool, which we also visited a couple of times. I always think that KOA Campgrounds are kind of a pricey way to camp, but in this case you get what you pay for. read more

My husband and I have stayed at the KOA on 5 different occasions. After the first 4 I would have given a great review. Our last visit has changed that for us. We always rent a kamping kabin with our two dogs. After our last visit we received a "Thanks for staying with us email". Then the following day we received another email stating we owed them $200 to cover damages that our dog did to the cabin bed. We pride ourselves on being responsible pet owners and know for certain our dog did not cause any damage. After asking for pictures as proof the owner sent us pictures dated one week after we checked out. They didn't even look like damage done by a dog. We had to dispute the charge with our credit card company, which is a hassle no one wants while traveling. It's been a headache trying to get it sorted out. It makes us wonder how many other people he has tried to scam out of extra money. Unfortunately it has taken away a little piece of mind that comes with staying in a familiar place like KOA. If you are going to be traveling with dogs and looking for a cabin, I would avoid this one, or take pictures of the cabin when you leave. read more

Have you ever wanted to live with Thomas the Train? Come to this KOA and enjoy the trains that toot their horn all night long! Just don't plan to sleep here unless you are immune to noise. The tracks lie about 100 meters from the campground. The bathrooms and pool are very clean, staff is friendly, and there are safe play area for the kiddos. We laid down for one night, again, not much sleeping here. read more

This place has very poor management. They lost our reservations so we couldn't stay there even thought we made them way in advance. Bathrooms are not the best neither. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
