"WE LOVE US SOME SEAFOOD"
I moved out to L.A., CA, In 1965, now living in Glendora, CA., and I've been wanting some great eastern style seafoods since.
We took the wife and our two grown daughters to lunch yesterday for Mother's Day, at the Clubhouse 66, on Root 66, Glendora, CA and enjoyed every minute.
OUR EXPERIENCE:
Food - Service - Ambience; GREAT...
- You enter the establishment.
- State your reservation.
And the waiters are standing in their black suites, upscale like, as your party is guided to its table.
Two of our party(family members) arrived a few minutes after us. While we were settling in, the waiter asked if we were ready for drinks, my daughter said, "Oh, we're waiting for my sister and niece to arrive, they're almost here."
The waiter said, "Oh, that's no problem, we can get you started until she arrives." Very polite and catering.
So my daughter gave their meal order while they were on the phone.
Anyway, when it was my turn to order, I ordered one of the Signature Plates:
PISTACHIO CRUSTED SALMON:
(Pan-seared salmon with sautéed vegetables in garlic and white wine, served over mushroom risotto and finished with a beurre blanc sauce.(even had a couple of artichokes cut up). The skin was real crusty and meat tender and flavored.
($29.99)
Oh, Magnifico...
For the life of me- I have NEVER had a Salmon dish that Magnifico in any restaurant in ALL my world travels. And let me just say that; I've traveled to Eighteen(18) different countries; including & throughout the U.S.
My mouth waters just thinking of it.
I also tasted my wife's,
CHICKEN LINGUINE-
(Grilled chicken with artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes, and a creamy sun-dried tomato pesto sauce.)
It was just as delicious.
Oh and; without a doubt without hesitation, if you want to go out for a great meal, you can't lose going to Clubhouse 66 in Glendora.
And I have to admit at first, when reading the menu, I was thinking the prices were kinda high, until the meals arrived and slid by my taste buds. It's definitely worth it, and i highly recommend Clubhouse 66.
DEFINITELY 5 STARS...
HECK, I'd give 10 STARS if it were availaLord, I'm from Boston, MA. born and raised. And if you know ANYTHING about Bostonians, you'd know we're from the fish seafood capital of the world.
