We communicated over Whatsapp for the date and I sent a deposit to secure that very day. A month before the shoot I contacted her to confirm to receive additional details for preparation. Marcia did not book me and claimed she never received the deposit. I sent a screenshot of the deposit and Marcia just sent the deposit back without an apology or empathy for not securing the date. Her work is beautiful but the stress that was involved with the booking process I would not recommend. I had to rebook H&M and find a new photographer. Luckily, I found an amazing photographer who made it stress free and delivered on her commitments.

My fiancé and I needed to relocate due to the pandemic as well because he is a frontline healthcare worker. My venue and almost all of my vendors refunded us our "non refundable" deposits - one was even $10,000! Other vendors gave half of the deposit back, understanding our loss and trying to negotiate an outcome that would be mutually beneficial. We paid Pasha a "non refundable" deposit which was close to $1,400. Pasha refused to refund our deposit or offer even a partial refund. Emails were not returned, and his tone was offensive - explaining that deposits are non refundable so that couples do not "back out of the contract". A global pandemic forcing a wedding cancellation is not "backing out". This is a poor business model, especially given the current pandemic climate and dealing with weddings. I have already told all of my Boston friends who are looking for a wedding photographer to avoid this greedy and shady business! Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life - don't trust it in the hands of this guy who has made it clear that his primary interest is only money. Also - to make it clear, there was no work done on his part to necessitate this almost $1,400 fee. We had a handful of brief phone conversations and exchange of text messages/emails. We did not meet in person, he never saw our venue or did any sort of walk through. Don't let my loss become yours next!

His combination of creativity, unique viewpoints, bravery (snowstorm!) and talent is what you want. You'll smile while going through your pics. And that's all that needs to be said. But if you're staying for the details......Alright, let's do this: We learned a few things from Pasha, Mark and Taylor while they were snapping pics at our wedding. One -- we kiss a lot, but that's beside the point. Two - taking the time to get the small details the way you want them (I mean really putting in the effort) was worth it. And three -- we have a lot of people that love us. We now have pictures to prove it all. Nothing like catching someone smiling at you when they think no one's looking (except Pasha -- he knows, he's there for the shot). Nothing like going through your wedding photos and seeing a snap of someone writing "stay weird!" in your guestbook, or getting to retell the story of why your wedding dress has a tiny unicorn hanging from it (we got that shot too). Nothing like the smirk you get when you see that your photographer noticed the little bride-and-groom mice statues you hid inside your pastry tower. He got the special lining of the suit, he got the calligraphy on the signs, his shots show the fire in the opal and beauty of the ring its on. We got to see a million moments we didn't notice the first time around. Okay, okay. The details are captured. What about the photography? I said creative, unique, brave and talented, right? We were gasping when we hit those photos of us outside in the snow. You know how when you dream of a winter wedding you imagine snow? Yeah, we got snow....And snow is cold. But Pasha braved the storm (literal storm!) and got out there with us. This guy grabs his assistant, leads the way with his awesomely groomed viking beard and goes to work on absolutely killing the shots. They're crazy good! That's brave. So now we get to relive the feeling of snowflakes landing on us forever. We even have the cozy moment of the groomsmen playing human shield to keep the bridesmaid's warm and dry (his idea to keep them warm, btw, while me and the new Mrs. were taking more pics -- oops!). Pasha took the time to meet with us before the wedding to make sure we understood his style and that he understood ours. Everything was comfortable and friendly, and that set the tone for the wedding. He and his team just became part of the bridal party for the "getting ready" pics -- never an awkward moment. Then they hit the wedding party and became family. That's what you call people that care about your happiness and help you make the most of a special day, right? It's important to mention we didn't have to point out the details. Not all of them, at least, not by a longshot. They got the snaps anyway. That tells me they were paying attention, absorbing the details, respecting the effort, noticing the happiness of our guests and enjoying themselves. It's awesome when your photographers are part of all the warmth. That's talent. ....Well, that and making everyone on the dance floor look like they had swag to spare. Bottom line? We feel like everything got captured. Not just the people and deco, but the mood of the whole day and night. Top quality and resolution obviously. The only complaint I have is that his beard was cooler than mine. Forget the posing and planning every little shot. You want pictures that are YOU? Get someone that lives in the moment and knows how to capture them. Your pics will be amazing and a blast to go through. Five stars for Mr. Pasha Plugovoy and his team. Bravissimi! Would I know what to do when the camera started clicking away? Would my brother and boyfriend be annoyed I dragged them out on a snowy football Sunday to get dressed up and have a couple shots captured for the holidays? My mind raced... but as the day drew closer, my fears fizzled away. Opting for a quick and simple session at Capron Park in Attleboro, MA I felt excited (and cold!) as I exited my car at the agreed upon meet up location. Paige (the photographer of course!) was very understanding and receptive as I explained our goal for the shoot along with the novelty of it all for us. I found that she kept an open line of communication during our time at the park and in fact, throughout the whole process leading up to our meet up. A winter storm threatened the viability of our plans to shoot outdoors at the park but options were discussed... location changes considered... but in the end, we were able to stick to the original plan. Paige was very clear but flexible about availability and didn't waste a second of our scheduled time. Mindful of the frigid outdoor temperatures (and the importance of catching the Patriots game that afternoon), she smoothly directed us through a variety of shots and backgrounds. We were done in no time at all! I had access to the edited photos online very quickly and enjoyed the generous number of photos to choose from. The shots came out great... I got exactly what I asked for. I highly recommend Paige Rhines Photography for any camera work you may need! However, the professional photography quality is top notch, the multiple outfit option made for good variety, and the sheer quantity of shots snapped and made available for review was remarkable. As great gifts for your guy go, this was surprising, refreshing, tantalizing, and a true treat to receive. But speaking of surprising, just one gripe - after we reviewed the photos and my wife had a chance to think back, the question came up - why so many "oh, I'm thoroughly surprised" shots? A smattering of old-timey shots, including commensurate facial expressions? Sure, of course - Pin-Up is in the business' name. But mostly smiles or natural facial expressions, left more up to the client and less up to suggestion? Far preferable. My wife thought she might have done it a little differently if she went a second time, but again - there were so many shots, it's hard to complain. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a unique, sexy present for our anniversary so I signed up for one of their workshops. I arrived at their studio mid-morning to have my hair and makeup done, then moved on to wardrobe and accessories. They had so many outfits to choose from, tons of pairs of shoes, and some cute accessories and props. I brought my own lingerie as one of my outfit changes, but also picked 2 more from their racks (the package I selected starts with 2 outfit changes included but I opted to add a third outfit...figured I may as well since I was already there in hair and makeup). Shooting the pictures was a blast! Corey the photographer was great...put me right at ease. She walked me though different poses and expressions but also asked me what my ideas were, so it was a nice balance. Lulu changed my hairdo for each set, and the lovely wardrobe lady changed my shoes/jewelry as well. In a few days, an online gallery was available for me to look at all the photos from my set (around 100, I think). 4 from each outfit were already touched-up, but I decided I wanted a few more edited and paid for around 10 more to be done. In the end, I had around 20 pictures that I printed out myself and put into a scrapbook to give as my gift. He LOVED it. As a bonus, they contacted me asking permission to use my picture as the Valentine's Day pinup in Motif Magazine, and we have that clipping framed on the wall. So, in summary: a fun experience, beautiful pictures, awesome, unique gift, and not only something for my boyfriend but something for me to have as well ("look how sexy Grandma used to be!!"). It was definitely pricey (when it was said and done, my initial package, extra outfit, additional pictures I had edited, 8x10 prints, and the scrap booking materials made this a $500+ gift), but a once-in-a-lifetime experience with pictures that I will have and enjoy for the rest of my life. The woman behind the desk said that's what I had asked for. But that wasn't what I asked for. So then I had to spend more money to get those negatives developed into pictures. I think some avid photographers just want negatives for some reason, but I can't imagine most people don't want prints. I didn't even know you could only get negatives from a roll of film. She, as the professional, made an error in judgment by not assuming when I asked for my photos to be developed - like I always had in the past as a repeat customer - that I wanted prints. She wasn't remotely apologetic. I won't go back.
