The only complaint I could possibly have about this place is that they're closed certain days of the week which can make it an inconvenience. Other than that you will not be disappointed. They are efficient and very helpful. The meet is of the highest quality and you can get cuts here that's not available in regular places. Glenwood Meats is a prime example of why i could never be a vegetarian. There are too may delicious meats, and Glenwood has them all. For around $40, I got a big sirloin top roast, some chicken stuffed with apples and brie, a pound of chicken cut and prepared for stir fry, a pound of ground turkey, and a pound of some really thick and amazing bacon. Hello delicious and cheap meat. I will eat you for dinner. They also have "monster chickens" which are deliciously stuffed and ready to roast, stuffed pork tenderloins, a million kinds of sausage, as well as lunch meat and some pretty tasty pepperoni. Oh, and they sell dog bones, which I would totally buy too if I had a dog. Pro tip: do all your shopping at Glenwood Meats and the Root Cellar, and you will save money and eat deliciously and fairly healthily. read more

Excellent selection of fresh meat, lots of variety and very good cuts. Prices are very reasonable compared to nearby grocery stores. Visited Glenwood meats for the first time recently. The meat at Glenwood is a cut above other places in Victoria. I'm not sure if it is in their curing techniques or simply that the meat they sell is fresher than their competitors, but Glenwood is worth the drive from Victoria and I will definitely return. Oh yeah, and the service is excellent with staff who spend the extra time to answer questions to ensure you get what you're looking for. I buy our family's meat here every week (have been for about a year now), the quality of the meat is incomparable to that found in grocery stores, and the prices are cheaper in many cases. The customer service is fantastic every time - I have no idea how they remain chipper in the constant rush of people - very genuine people working there. Their jerky sticks and pepperoni sticks will change your life, they also sell eggs, deli meat, salmon, and pies. Be prepared to wait for 5-15 minutes (you take numbers when you arrive) - but it's always a good sign of a company doing something right. read more

Absolutely wonderful meat store. The ground chuck and fresh sausages are great. The place is always busy, but very well organized, efficient and thankfully smells good (I'm sensitive). Very disapointed that this year you had a list for free range turkeys and have no more left! Then I was told your fresh turkeys are coming from Winnipeg and are equivalent to Lilydale brand that you can buy in any grocery store. Well I thankfully am getting a organic free range turkey from Penninsula co-op for $4.30lb. They are from Ireland farms in Saanichton! Why could Glenwoods not have done this?? read more
