I was literally stunned by their price. But First Wisconsin Cremation was so reasonable and they picked up his body in the time it took to drive from beloit to mauston (about 2 hours) (this is on Fathers Day which makes it even more surprising! They provided a free urn. Will transfer ashes to fancy urn anytime. They did the work to notify social security snd whoever else needed notice. They arranged for death certification and got death certificates. The women who picked my brother up were great. I had tried to get there before they got there so I could see my brother one last time before they took him away. I was coming from Milwaukee and I was at a Father's Day lunch at the time that I got notified that he passed. So I had to finish up and drive home first and then drive to Mauston so they beat me, not by much but they were kind and let me spend 1520 minutes whatever I needed to say goodbye to my brother. I thought they were exceptionally great and kind and supportive and even gave me a hug. I had to assist them to get the gurney into a tight space next to the hospital bed that Lonny was in at his girlfriend's house. I can honestly say without hesitation that First Wisconsin cremation is the way to go if you have a loved one that you need to have taken away after they pass and to have them cremated. I was able to do the paperwork online a few days before he passed, which made it very simple and easy when he actually did pass. So save yourself some money and use First constant cremation instead of paying some ridiculous fee to a local funeral home. For his celebration of life, we are having it at a local restaurant/hotel. The room rental was $100 but since he was a local, they are waiving the room fee. We are having them provide some food for the people who come, but it would be way more expensive to do this at a funeral home.

The basket was not delivered, and I received no notification. After learning this on Tuesday, May 26, I called the florist twice and left two voicemails. I also emailed them. I received no response. Late in the day, I texted the phone number left on the business voicemail asking where my $187.67 sympathy basket was and received a response that said, "I was out of the shop, and my staff didn't know where to deliver it to. It will be delivered sometime today. I'm sorry and will credit your purchase for $50." The item was delivered but left outside in the heat when the recipient was not home. No credit was provided. I texted the owner again on May 23 to demand the credit for the poor service and the breach of the written order. I did not receive a response.

After a couple of weeks, my sister asked me if we received the plant. We did not. My sister called her florist in Racine, who arranged the delivery through Jodi's Floral in Elkhorn. The florist in Racine had already been charged for it. The Racine florist attempted to call Jodi's, but no one answered. Messages were left for Jodi and no call backs were received. I never got the plant, and the money was finally refunded back to the original florist and ultimately, my sister, once the Racine florist filed a complaint with the FTD. DO not do business with this florist. I am just thankful that we didn't have to use Jodi's for the actual funeral as we would not have gotten the flowers for the service!!

We rented one of Lon's Jon's Luxury Restroom trailers for our son and daughter-in-law's backyard…read morewedding party last Saturday and it was a huge hit with everyone! Having only one bathroom in the house (with previous sewer issues) we wanted to ensure our 60 guests had a clean and comfortable restroom to use, instead of the house bathroom. This luxury trailer was just that - clean, spacious , well lit, and comfortable. It had a flushable toilet, separate urinal, sink with running water, cabinet, mirror, and hooks to hang jackets / purses from. It also came fully stocked with toilet paper, a paper towel dispenser, and a hand soap dispenser. And best of all it was air-conditioned, which was well appreciated on a warm 82 degree day. The unit also included a heater but we obviously didn't use that. Owner Lonny was amazing to work with as well. Very professional, yet personal, with a great sense of humor. Great all-around guy, and remarkable business and products. I would highly recommend Lonny and Lon's Jon's for your next event. Very happy all around!

You are going through a hard time right now and I hope your doing okay. I don't know how else to really get into this review without telling it like a story. I had left a job and was driving up to Wisconsin to visit my parents in the few weeks I had between when I left the old job and started the new. When I reached my parents house my father, aunt, and uncle were waiting outside. A little unusual, but I didn't think much of it. After a few minutes of shooting the shit my dad dropped it on me that my mother had passed away just a few hours prior to my arrival. When he was pressed to name a funeral home he gave Schneider's as the place to take her body. They had previously done the viewing for a cousin who had passed prior. Dad remembered them having done well for his family so that's where we went. I went with my father meeting the funeral director and he was amazing to us. He went through everything in a compassionate yet professional and businesslike way. He laid out what the funeral homes services would cost and went over what we wanted for the viewing and so forth and was great in working with the church in the area to set up a mass for the funeral (Catholic Family). He was great as we picked out the images and text for the cards being presented at the viewing. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my mother looked at the viewing. I remember my childhood going to several funerals of relatives and remember them looking like the wax museum versions of themselves. That was not the case for my mom. She looked as though she could wake up at any moment. I don't know if that makes the grieving process any easier or if it makes it harder, but I know I appreciated it. One last thing I want to mention about Schneider's and I want to preface the telling of this is that I want what I'm about to say to reflect positively on them and I in no way hold them responsible. At some point between when my mom passed and she arrived at the funeral home she had a ring that had been in my family for 100+ years go missing. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Schneider was arguably more upset than we were. It was almost as if it was his families heirloom was gone. I cannot commend him enough for the compassion regarding this he showed my family.
