Poor performance, non-responsive to phone calls and emails. Worst customer service and commitment to work that I've ever experienced.

I had a previous accountant that just threw everything together and never went over anything with me to make sure it was accurate. Scott Storz is who I deal with here at FPHC and he is great! I started working with them over the summer. At that time, I wanted to make sure that I was paying estimated taxes correctly. Soon after my first meeting, I had an unexpected need to liquidate investments that left me with large capital gains. I received advice about adjusting estimated tax payments to reflect this, which I followed. Early this year, they handled my federal and state tax returns. To say there were mistakes would be an understatement. I ended up having to use one of the online tax prep programs, print out that information, and bring it in so that my return could be completed correctly. None of the information that I had provided over the summer was taken into account - I'm pretty sure that, despite conversations with them and a rather unique name, they have two separate files for me and think that I am two different people. Then I got a letter from the state informing me that they were penalizing me for incorrectly paying estimated taxes. Since my income was not consistent, due to the large capital gains received over the summer, they should have completed a specific form. This form had not been completed. I contacted the office and was told that it was MY responsibility to complete this form - it was not something that they would do for me. You would think that, given the fact that I had to provide them with a completed draft return and they failed to file the correct forms, there would be some sort of concession on fees. Not so - between what I paid over the summer and what I have been billed for the spring, they are getting over $1000. I suppose I should consider this a bargain - if I hadn't done all of the work myself, I would have lost over $3000 in refunds! Needless to say, they will not be preparing my returns in the future.

You must consider this business if you are looking for tax preparation assistance…read more Easy, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional is how this firm rolls. I reached out to Tim after a not so fab experience with another accountant after relocating to the area. Finding an accountant is seriously as difficult as finding a great hair stylist. Within minutes of talking on the phone, I felt he could deal with my Type A-may panic about taxes-personality. A win for me. Everything was organized and simple. I had all my documents scanned in, emailed them over, and we met in person because I just wanted to go through this face to face step. I did not have many questions, and Tim put me at ease immediately. My taxes were done and paid for quickly (it behooves you to have your s_i_t together....just saying). Absolutely seamless. I cannot recommend this firm enough!

In previous years, we'd used two well known and highly rated accounting firms to manage finances and file taxes. Advisant sorts through it all and has done so professionally and patiently. I only wish I had found them sooner.

But either way, I left the call thinking we'd have some great momentum and he promised to review our past taxes and our 2025 submission. Well, zero follow up. I signed a contract and then ghosted. Then my husband was bothered by this since I had sent him all our private info, so he called Kyle and got the same promises. Nothing again, and we keep trying to get in touch. If he's busy, just say so! But don't request all our very personal, identity documents then fall off the grid. Very very unsettling and more importantly HIGHLY unprofessional. I was looking forward to working with him! But seems like professional maturity and stability is highly lacking, beware. UPDATE FROM KFN RESPONSE: I'm a professional project manager, there is absolutely no way I would miss a meeting I had been adamantly requesting for weeks. It's disappointing how unbelievably inaccurate this response is, to the point I may need to alert Yelp itself. I tried to reach you number of times and I even had my husband reach out since it was an unknown number and maybe you'd answer. Which you did, and ghosted him as well. I wouldn't make this up, lying about it should be a huge red flag for anyone reading this.

I wound up filing an extension for myself. Further, only today, at the last minute, does he send me the return he prepared with several errors, such as a wrong address, an address no prior accountant has ever used for the return. He keeps making excuses for all his errors and even tries blaming a prior accountant for his incompetence, such as the necessity of including a balance sheet. A balance sheet is not required by the IRS. He pays no attention to details and only skims the information you send him. It got to the point where I had to terminate him, and I will need to hire a different (competent) accountant to do the returns. Avoid like the plague. Reply: With the number of errors you made, you have no basis to charge for anything. First, many statements you made are factually incorrect. The LLC does not and has never had over 250k in assets. As noted, with over 40 years of tax returns filed, not one prior accountant ever used an incorrect address, not one, only you. Second, it was clear you constantly made errors, never reviewed the entire information, as I had to keep sending you emails to correct and supplement the information you entered. It was very apparent I would never use your services again or recommend you, and you saw that coming and cut bait. It is clear you have had this problem with previous clients, and it is not new to you. Just look at the 2018 review.
