Daily structured activities, along with pictures of child sent a few times a day engaged in the activity. We liked those aspects a lot. We didn't like the chaotic staffing, inconsistent communication (after-the-fact informing), or our child being sick, often: two hospitalizations due to contracting double viruses that led to agitating respiratory distress. We get that germs happen in daycares. We were disappointed that children with obvious green mucus dripping/hanging from their noses were allowed to attend in that condition. Even having a "sick room" and removing those cases would have been prudent and thoughtful. Parents were allowed to fully enter the rooms with shoes on in this brand new facility. It seems that right protocols could have kept it clean, in more than one way. The straw for us, besides our child constantly keeping a cold, was the need for staff to double up from other rooms "until" the scheduled later arriving staff showed up. We checked the place out a week after it opened. It was calm, appeared appropriate and still had some empty rooms. A few weeks later was another story. Chaos. It was hard to understand why they built a facility with that amount of potential without planning properly for staffing...in advance. There should have been staff standing around the first week waiting for children instead of 3-4 weeks into opening, children standing around waiting for staff. That's too bad. Maybe it has turned around since that time (3 months ago). We hope so.

We'd visited a couple of schools before in the last few months, and by far this was this was the right choice for him. Upon arrival, Master Young is very clear on the goals they teach and expect for children. What I really love and appreciate is the communication from him and Mrs. Michelle Young. We thought perhaps 4 years old was too young for Karate. But I have observed how patient and sweet they are with all the little ones during class session. While he's only been there for about a month, he is super excited about learning, and attending class 3 times a week. This routine has proven very good for him as well and he enjoys it tremendously. Glad to have our son be a part of an outstanding school that implements discipline, focus and respect, while providing fun physical activity for young ones. They do Halloween sparring tournaments & allow the kids to wear their favorite costumes, they shut down their parking lot & create a truck or treat, with hunted dojo suitable for every age group. (None scary, little scary & a lot scary). They do Easter egg hunt, meet Santa etc. They do ninja night, with food, drinks, fun activities & movies for the kids. They offer summer camp. My son has been coming here for over a year taking Karate with Sensei Rey. He loves it. My son…read moreprefers Sensei Rey (not that there's anything wrong with the other Senseis, you know how kids are when they are attached to a specific person) so he was bummed when his schedule changed and instead of having class twice a week he only has it once a week now. My son has competed in one tournament and is prepping to compete in another. Now, only if he can get a belt test done that would be awesome. Other than that Sensei Rey really takes the time to make sure his students (of all ages too) get their techniques correct & it shows in the tournaments. My son brought home a gold medal for Kata & a silver medal for Kumite. Oh! One more thing, the space can get tight when everyone is in class. Maybe expanding or separating the sitting area? There's a room with a glass windowed room right behind where the parents sit, maybe... it could just be a sitting room for the parents during this time frame? I'm really not sure what is in that room though. Also, that way the kids that run around during class can be contained in a separate room so as not to bother the karate class in session but can still see the karate class through the window? Just a suggestion. Gina the owner is very accommodating & was kind enough to understand our situation in December so we were able to alter our contract a bit before signing. We are excited to continue another year with Landero Learning Center.

Another time I had specifically said that we would be doing reading on single hour days and it was somehow forgotten and they did math instead , which is not why I started tutoring to begin with. It is too soon to tell if there will be an improvement in reading. I do appreciate that everyone is very kind and helpful. It's a mixed bag right now, but I think I would be less critical if it wasn't so expensive. I will definitely update this review once I can assess progress.

I spoke with Margot, the Director, regarding my son's learning differences and she was very understanding and accommodating. After my son came in for an assessment she recommended two tutors that would work best with my son, Amy and Ms Jessie. My son loved them. But, what impressed me the most was the fact that Margot recommended other tutoring facilities, and specialized learning programs, for my son just in case he needed a more comprehensive learning program. Her gesture made me feel that my son's educational well being meant more to her than just profit for the company. For the 5 weeks that my son attended Tutoring Club, he loved it. In the end though, I did end up enrolling him in a special needs program for kids with learning disabilities. But, if my son ever needs tutoring again, when he's older, I will definitely have him go back to the wonderful staff at Tutoring Club.

I want to start by saying this daycare seemed very promising, but after five months with our…read moredaughter, we lost confidence in the care she was receiving. One of the first concerns happened when I picked her up and was told she had a diaper rash. The staff said Aquaphor wasn't working, so they used one of their own sprays instead. My response was, "Why aren't you using the Desitin we provided, clearly labeled with her name and accompanied by a doctor's note instructing you to use it?" They apologized and assured us they would use it going forward. This immediately raised concerns about attention to care, especially since diaper products should never be shared between children due to the risk of spreading illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). On June 18, after a week at home with us, we dropped our daughter off and informed staff she had drool bumps on her chin because she was cutting two teeth at once. Later that day, we received a call saying she had a temperature of 99.4°F and was being sent home for suspected HFMD because she supposedly had bumps around her mouth, in her mouth, and in her diaper area. The "bumps" around her mouth were the same drool rash we had pointed out that morning, and they nearly disappeared after simply wiping her chin dry. She had no bumps in her diaper area and no mouth lesions. The next morning, her pediatrician examined her, laughed at the assessment, said she had absolutely no signs of HFMD, and cleared her to return. We met with the Director and Assistant Director to explain what happened. The Assistant Director admitted she hadn't been told about the drool rash or teething before making the assessment. We also brought up the earlier diaper cream incident and explained how concerning it was that our daughter's prescribed cream wasn't being used while they were quick to send children home over concerns about HFMD. We were assured these issues would be addressed. Then, in July, our daughter actually contracted HFMD. She had the classic symptoms: fever followed by lesions around her mouth, in her mouth, and on her hands and feet. We kept her home through her recovery, and once her pediatrician confirmed she was no longer contagious, we received another signed clearance note allowing her to return. The doctor also prescribed antibiotics for a mild ear infection, and we informed the daycare that the antibiotics could cause loose stools and diaper rash, asking them to apply her diaper cream accordingly. The first day back went well. However, the following morning, just one hour after dropping her off, I received another call telling me she was being sent home for suspected HFMD. They pointed to healed red marks under her chin from the previous infection, a small red mark on her finger that she's had since birth, and claimed her diaper area would "shock" me. When I got home and checked, she simply had a diaper rash from the antibiotic-related loose stools. There were no blisters, lesions, or signs of HFMD. Even more concerning, there was absolutely no evidence that her prescribed Desitin had been applied despite the daycare describing the rash as severe. Anyone who uses Desitin knows it leaves a visible white residue, and there was none. We took her back to the pediatrician, who again confirmed she had no signs of HFMD and again questioned whether the daycare was confusing her with another child. At that point, we decided to withdraw our daughter. As I packed up her belongings, one of the workers ran over laughing and said, "Can't forget this!" while handing me the nearly full tube of diaper cream. After five months, it looked like it had only been used a couple of times, despite multiple conversations, a doctor's note, and repeated reminders. I can't speak to the rest of the school, but our experience in the Angel's classroom left us extremely disappointed. We experienced repeated misdiagnoses that resulted in unnecessary doctor visits and missed work, along with repeated failures to follow a simple doctor's order to use our daughter's assigned diaper cream. For us, those issues reflected a lack of attention to detail and consistency that we simply could not overlook.
