Our son is 14 and has been struggling with fitting into the box of standard schooling for the last few years and he had started to become down and frustrated with everything. He is an artist and that started reflecting in his drawings as well. After the visit he was still unsure but we knew this was the right school for him. After the first 2 weeks we started noticing changes at home. He became happier and this reflected not only in his demeanor but also in his artwork. When we got his school pictures back HE WAS SMILING!! He hasn't smiled in a school picture for at least 3 years. Watching him become more comfortable with himself and who he is since we started has been an amazing experience. Thank you to all of you that he comes into contact with on a daily basis. Thank you for letting him know you care about him and who he is, that you care about how he is learning and progressing and that you are there for him and for us. We have found a community within this school and we are very grateful to each of you!!

Remember, my child is not even four years old. After this incident, she began arranging her toys and yelling at them, saying things like "Stop! Stop!" This behavior was very unusual for her and raised concerns. I reached out to other parents, and some of them said their children had made similar remarks about the same teacher. I requested a meeting with the preschool director and the teacher. During the meeting, the teacher denied everything, saying my daughter is one of the best students and she would never do such a thing. I calmly repeated the same words the director had used in our first meeting: "We need to trust children -- they are not manipulative." That very day, I withdrew my daughter from the school. To all parents reading this: trust your instincts and your kids.

Communication is an issue. A week into my children attending I start getting these emails telling me to pay. I figured Urban League pays on a certain day of the month so I was just getting the messages by default. Then I received an actual text from the school asking me to pay and I was so confused. Why hadn't someone from the school told me? Today, same deal. I'm told $220 is due next week for summer camp. No flyers sent home with the school. No outline of what summer camp includes versus what's offered any other time of the year. It's daycare. I didn't realize summer was outside of their normal business hours. It's not like it's an elementary school and I'm paying for the kids to attend outside of the regular school year. Naturally, I was pretty upset. I went to pick up my kids and asked about this random $220. I was told that it's $110 per kid and it covers the entire summer (but the regular weekly tuition is still due). They bring in a petting zoo and have other fun activities. I wish I would have been told this in advance. I don't have a problem with it, what I have a problem with is the lack of communication. What if I didn't have the money? I am, after all, on Urban league. The fees and the services that go along with those fees should be clearly communicated. They shouldn't just be requesting payment. Outside of the communication issue it's a very nice school. My kids enjoy it. The facility is clean. They feed the kids two meals and a snack and they even have a graduation for the kids that are on their way to kindergarten. I love the school itself. The communication aspect of it absolutely needs work because I don't think they understand nor taken to consideration the hardship that comes with charging people fees without notice.

As a mom, I was incredibly nervous about trusting someone else to watch him after only family has done so for his first year. But Emilie has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you Emilie, and the entire team, for creating such a nurturing environment for my son!

They were there for first steps, bottle-to-cup transitions, and so many important milestones. The teachers truly care, and as a mom, that peace of mind is everything. We've been amazed at how much they've learned (not just academically but socially and emotionally as well). Our daughter has developed a love for art thanks to the creative and unique projects led by Ms Mummert. We are grateful for the care and patience to the toddler teachers (Ms. Elysa, & Ms. Kanae, Mrs. Ranieri). This past year, the new leadership team has made an already great school even better with more extracurricular activities and special guests. We are so grateful for our time at Merryhill and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, engaging environment for their little one.

It's a stimulating and nurturing environment. Ms. Hohman & Mrs. Walker make us feel welcomed each day we get there. My son's teacher is Ms. Flynn - she is SO great (all I would hope for in a teacher for him). He is eager to learn, eager to share with me what he's learning and seems to be ahead of most kids his age with reading, writing & numbers. On top of that, I believe Merryhill has been a big part of his social development.

We signed up a full team for the league and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more Our first game started about 20 minutes late. The second game also started roughly 10 minutes late. We had the minimum number of players required to start (5 players), and at no point did any referee or staff member tell us we were going to forfeit due to being late. Near the end of the second half, a staff member came over smiling and sarcastically said, "You guys know you already lost the game, right?" This was the first time anyone had mentioned a forfeit. Naturally, we stopped the game to ask what was going on. The response was simply that we had already lost by walkover (WO). After that, our team decided to leave. What happened afterward was even more frustrating. A few days later, while I was working with a client and waiting for an important call from a bank, I received a call. I answered and only heard "Indoor 5," so I ended the call because I was in the middle of business. I never spoke with anyone about leaving the league. Later, when I asked why we had not received the schedule for the next games, I was told the manager assumed we did not want to continue because they had called me and I supposedly said no. That never happened. We never had that conversation. They removed our entire team from the league based on an assumption without ever confirming anything with me. When I explained to the manager Alfredo that I was working and never actually spoke with anyone, his response was rude and unprofessional. He compared the situation to losing a client because I didn't return a call. He said "if a client calls you and you don't answer or call back do you think they're doing business with you?" The difference is that before removing a paying team from a league, you should actually speak with them and confirm their intentions rather than making assumptions. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication, the sarcastic treatment from staff, and the decision to remove our team without ever having a real conversation is absurd. Several players adjusted their work schedules and personal commitments to participate in this league, so being removed without any direct conversation or confirmation was extremely frustrating Everything happened this past week 5/25/26-Today 5/31/26

I grew up going to summer camps here, and now I bring my daughter for swimming lessons--it's such a full-circle experience. Every visit has been incredible, whether as a kid or now as a parent. Even though the building has been around for a while, it's kept in great shape. The ambience is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly, and it really feels like a space for the whole community. The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. Overall, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is a gem--nostalgic for me personally, but also such a reliable, affordable, and enjoyable place to bring my daughter. Highly recommend it for families and anyone looking to stay active in a welcoming environment!
