Sarah at the front desk is incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful--she made the whole process so smooth. But I especially want to highlight Josh, the technician who repaired my truck. He is truly skilled, smart, and extremely knowledgeable. He took such great care of my vehicle that you would never believe it had been hit. The truck looks absolutely brand new! This is actually the second time one of my trucks has been hit, and both times I came to Caliber Collision. Both times, they delivered outstanding work. ZERO STAR RATING -- POOR QUALITY WORK BUT THEY MAKE UP FOR IT WITH CARELESSNESS AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The dealer damaged our brand new $100K truck and took it to Caliber Collision in Silverthorne for repair. 1] The quality of the paint job was terrible. Color did not match and has multiple "fish eyes" throughout the paint. My wife painted our Jeep fenders in our garage and it looked better that Caliber's work. We had our older truck repaired in Mexico by two guys in their yard and it looked brand new despite having to match the 10 year old paint. We had a car restoration expert look at the paint repair and he was appalled that this paint job was performed by a body shop. All the work needs to be redone. 2] They had removed the window "belt" molding from the exterior of the window and in the process broke it and had to order a new window molding. They proceeded to park the truck outside with rain/snow forecast for the weekend. They did not seem to care that water/snow was going to leak through the gap into the inside of the door. We noticed it when we check on the truck and put some tape over it ourselves. 3] They parked our brand new expensive truck backed into a large tree such that the branches were rubbing the back of the truck and scratching it in wind. Friday evening we asked an employee that to pull the truck forward out of the tree......when we checked on it Saturday morning it had not been moved. We ended up cutting away the tree branches ourselves. 4] Though we were told the truck was "ready" they left the inside of a new truck filthy! Will have to be detailed. The response of the owner to the above? A flippant "so sorry, hope you have a better day." Don't take your vehicle here unless you our a masochist. read more

Not only where they sweet to my dogs and courteous to me, but they handle my paperwork probably Nd correctly and had a great and positive attitude throughout the whole process. We brought our Tahoe in to have a bumper repaired. In doing the repair they destroyed the assembly that controlled the sensors for passing cars. They denied it. But when we got the car back it was hangin out under the bumper. Worked fine when we brought it in. Didn't work at all when we picked the car up. We now have to pay 1,500 to fix a mess that they caused. Refused to accept any responsibilty. Really a lousy representation of Caliber Collision. read more

I was extremely disappointed, first of all with consultant Josh who did not keep me informed during the process and I found to be arrogant and dishonest. The car was dirty inside and out when I picked it up after three weeks. I feel the paint was not a good match. When I stopped for gas on my way home, I discovered that the gas cap was broken off. I will not return. My previous experience was far superior but Josh and workmanship ruined the experience this time. read more

We had a car accident on the way to Keystone from Denver where a trailer side swiped our drivers mirror and destroyed it. The broken sharp pieces of the mirror were banging against our car door and was in danger of destroying the paint on the side panel. We went to Caliber Collision in Silverthorne and they were so kind and generous to detach the wires to the car mirror and remove the broken glass that allowed us to travel back to Denver on the highway safely. When I took my truck in for the estimate, Josh was first and foremost very good at what he does. We were in the middle of a move and explained this, he said not to worry and to get the repairs completed when we got finished. If you trust Caliber Collision in Silverthorne to repair your vehicle you will not be disapointed. When I look for a business to deal with I take customer reviews very seriously. such is the case with Caliber Collision. It appears to me that the reviews for Caliber are either at one end of the spectrum or the other. Their service is either loved or hated. After living for years with some minor damage to a passenger door of a sports car I've owned for over 25 years I decided to have it repaired. To say I'm picky is an under statement. I got a repair estimate from a dealership in the Denver area that blew me away. I thought to myself that "I just wanted to have a spot on the door repaired not the whole damn car painted. I approached Caliber in Silverthorne and scheduled an estimate. ( yes I had to schedule an appointment. They are busy. That in its self says something as to the number of customers who are willing to trust Caliber Silverthorne. The repair estimate was not cheap but it was less than half of the dealership estimate. Bare in mind this was during the pandemic. There were delays encountered during the repair. Josh, the repair manager, kept me informed throughout the repair as to what actions were occurring and what I could expect. I appreciated his regular communication. The repair took at least twice as long as was originally expected. ( do you want a repair done FAST or do you want it done RIGHT ? ). The repair more than met my expectations. This shop knows their business and knows how to satisfy a customer. I'm more than willing to recommend Caliber Collision Silverthorne to anyone and everyone. read more

This business is corrupt and dishonest. They will not fix your car correctly. They failed to completely fix the damage to our vehicle then conspired with the insurance company to claim that the damage was due to another incident. They have no interest whatsoever in customer satisfaction, only in collusion with insurance companies because that is where the money comes from. They would not even look at our vehicle without an insurance assignment, and even then it took two months. It was a terrible decision to use this company. read more

I had to return to Chicago so had to leave the car at the shop early. Provided a document of all the repairs and estimated costs. Thankfully, I didn't need to return for a month. They needed all that time to repair the car because when they removed the damaged bumper, they found additional damage underneath. Also they had to return one of the ordered lift gate pieces because it wasn't acceptable. People were very nice and the car looked practically new when I picked it up. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever, ever received in my life from an auto repair shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My car was kept for over a month for a transmission replacement with promises that it would be returned in a couple days each time we called for an update. We had to go to this location because of our auto insurance and would do anything to not have to deal with them again. However, after the car was returned it was not fixed. We did a basic test drive and all was well, then went for dinner only to have the car lurch forward, not go into gear etc. They had the car for a MONTH. Absolutely terrible. DO NOT GO HERE, THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. The one in Denver might be worth it, but this Silverthorne location is ridiculous. They've had my car for going on 6 weeks and it still is not repaired! All they do is provide excuses and missed calls. Trying to get a solid answer from these guys is impossible. Transfer my car from shop to shop, with each shop putting on the part wrong and making the process 2x longer. Instead of getting a full diagnosis of the problem, I got bits and pieces on a weekly basis. It seemed like every day there was something different. You have to basically hound on these guys to give you any detailed response. Easy for them to tell you to be patient when it's not their car being fixed for going on 7 weeks! If you can find any reason to avoid this place, do so. You will be doing yourself a tremendous service and save a lot of unnecessary headache. read more

This company will NOT fix your vehicle . Customer service is completely lacking . 3 weeks after my initial estimate and arranging a tow to Caliber they still had not fixed my vehicle and had ordered no parts. I was told by 'Frank' supervisor if I didn't like their timing I could take my truck somewhere else . I DID . Do not take your car here. The people who work there are pleasant enough, but the place is poorly run. I took my car in and 12 days later I called to see what the progress was(when they told me they would call me and update me) and I was connected to the manager. You know it has to be bad when they put you on the phone with the manager. I was then told that they hadn't even started my car, because of a sick technician, who later was fired. Pretty much I was given a bunch of excuses and told several times that "they told me they were very busy". Yes, they had told me they were busy, but yet I was scheduled right away and they told me it would only be 12 days. After another excuse about a part that was "cut short" and 34 days of having a rental car, I finally got my car back. They did a good job on the repair, but my speaker sounds funny now (not that I will take it back and lose my car for another month). If they would have just called me and told me to come get my car till they would have time for it, I would have been much happier with my experience. Its not ok to keep someone's car for over 2 weeks without even starting it. A little communication goes a long way. read more

I wanna know what people had to do to get service that would allow them in good conscious to rate them 5 stars. I brought my vehicle in for some minor damage due to a hit and run. It took a month to get the appointment and I should have put up red flags that they didn't need to see the vehicle before hand (how do you order parts etc and have them ready to go when the vehicle is dropped off) After a little over 2 weeks I was getting information from my insurance company that my vehicle was almost ready and should have it by the end of the week. As the end of the week arrived I got a call from Caliber that they noticed the exhaust was damaged and needed to be replaced. (funny how this wasn't noticed since it was on my estimate from my insurance and it was hanging off the vehicle when it was dropped off) My insurance called to tell me they approved the new exhaust being put on and 3 days later Caliber called to say they just got approval from my insurance to fix it. Another 5 days go by with no information. I decided to go to the shop it was brought to for the exhaust to see if I could get answers. The mechanic was not able to give me information about my vehicle as it was brought in by Caliber (I get that was just hoping someone could tell me something). The next day Caliber left me a message about how I am NOT to talk to any of the people they use to work on the vehicle. All correspondence is to go through Caliber (Well if they could actually tell me something I wouldn't have to try to get information from other people) I got a call on a Friday that my vehicle was done and they just needed to do a few finishing touches. Monday no word from them all day. I called and was told they had no one available to go get the vehicle from the mechanic and they should be able to get it on Tuesday and finish it up. Tuesday goes by and most of Wednesday until I get the call that it will be ready by 3PM. I work nights and was already at work when I got the call. I make my way get my vehicle around 11AM on Thursday. While walking through the parking lot I can already see a problem. Parts that were taken off my vehicle were one color and what was put on was another. I mention it to them when I walk inside. A rep walks out with me to look over the vehicle. I pop the tailgate and see parts sitting in the back. Looking over the vehicle I see they didn't even put all the parts back on. Some of the parts put on do not fit properly and look like they could pop off at any moment. They agree to order new parts that are to correct color and will fit properly. They ask if I would like to keep my vehicle until the parts come in or leave it with them. It has already been 5 weeks they had the vehicle. They told me it was ready and I had to wait 45min for them to finish up things I was not happy with. They order the parts and I leave with my vehicle. It has now been 2 weeks since they ordered the parts and not a word from Caliber. I had signed up for text alerts from them which were a complete joke. In 5 weeks time I got 3 messages and one was just a correction for a spelling error. So I'm 7 weeks in on a repair that was estimated at $2,500 and my vehicle is still not done and my cost is up to $7,000. So my suggestion is DO NOT bring your vehicle to them. read more

We had our car repaired recently at this shop and everyone involved was really helpful in getting us through the process. The staff contacted Enterprise for us, which is just right down the street, and the repairs came out looking great. Communication and the text updates were great.
