People's Bank rejected the Power of Attorney citing "confidential reasons." After threatening to serve a law suit on them, I found out from their attorney that People's Bank suspected I was a fraud and a liar (presumably based on my looks [I went in with lounge clothes and no makeup/hair done when I originally submitted the POA]. They also said some bad things about my dad, even though they personally do not know him. Although their attorney convinced them to eventually accept my POA, I was compelled to leave this review to make others aware that this bank does not care about legal requirements or the law and is quick to deny you access to accounts/money you can lawfully access if they do not like the way you look. I was judged, condemned, and referred to "fraud investigations" just because of a hunch. I've never been treated this badly by a professional corporation. I would recommend you do not use this bank.
