    tomato soup and coffee
    Asena E.

i know it doesn't seem like much at first but the vibes in here were just so cozy. the owner was sooo nice and fun to talk to. the panini i ordered was lovely along with the tomato soup pairing. coffee as well with the millionaire shortbread. it was so hard to find a place open early in the morning in edinburgh royal mile but we found this as one of our only options but im so glad we did!

    Serkan's special wrap

I stopped in for a quick lunch and got the Serkan's special wrap to go. It had a lot of flavor and was a decent size for the price. It was a bit rich for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. It's a pretty small spot and seems mostly used for carry-out, although there are a few seats available inside. Friendly staff and a cute place.

All that was left of my falafel sandwich lunch.

Great lunch spot. Quick, easy, delicious and affordable. Close by the Royal Mile so nice lunch if you're out sightseeing.

Tomato basil soup and the specialty wrap

So great we went twice -- delicious wraps and soup!!! The service was quick as well. The first time I got the Mexican wrap and the second I got the specialty wrap. So great and flavorful

Spontanious visit led to a daily visit! This little snack store is unbelieveable delicious! The owner is a very polite, funny and entertaining young man! Felt like home from the first moment! Love this place and definitely visit again when I am coming back!

    Global Deli

The great thing about the Global Deli is that from a mile off, it is hard to miss. In fact, this simple thing is the reason I first entered Global, and Im glad that I did. The deli is simply amazing - a huge range of things to choose from, and always full of returning customers who know how great this place really is.Panninis, rolls, sandwiches - they do it all, either choose from the menu or ask nicely and create your own. The food is always prepared infront of you, including the morning rolls that they do (sausages and bacon etc), so a feeling of freshness is always there. The global Deli is a great place to grab a tasty, and fresh something to eat.

Best baked potato and salad, freshly made!

Wonderful. Great food and drink (tea and coffee) and great price. This is where the locals go and it's obvious why.

Staff seem a tad harried at times, but they are kind and polite, and take the time to explain the menu if you want them to. FYI, there's a sign saying there's no laptops allowed. The menu switches at 12pm, but the Full Scottish Breakfast is on both. I tried it and it was fabulous. The "Luxury Hot Chocolate" was honestly kind of meh from a taste perspective. Felt like American powdered, sugary hot chocolate (as contrasted with European dark, hot chocolate). But the presentation was to die for. See photo. They seem known for their cake. I tried that on one visit, blueberry and lemon, and it was great. Moist, flavorful, and decadent. And not a massive portion, which I appreciate. Bathrooms: Basement level. Decently clean and functional. Medium spaciousness.

Not my favorite and I know it's tough to compare with avocado toast in California Maybe next time I'd try their blueberry pancakes? Or maybe try Scran which is next door?

I came pretty close to the opening and was able to select my choice for seats. I picked a table near the window for natural lighting. They have a table of a lot of tasty treats and while I didn't get a chance to try them all, I can attest to the scone being very tasty! I ordered the Cream Tea (I think I ordered the Lemon and Elderflower) which comes with a freshly baked homemade scone (I chose a fruit one), and a cup of tea €6.80. I decided to upgrade to a pot of tea (€7.75) and added a bowl of porridge (€5.50) with jam as I usually prefer savory breakfasts. This was more than enough to eat for one, but I just enjoy trying different items - does anyone else have this problem? lol I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here as the ambiance, food and tea were homey and intimate. This would be such a fun place to converse with girlfriends for tea time!

We had breakfast here on our first day in Edinburgh. It's cozy and the walls are covered with paintings, antique cups, and plates. To be honest the walls are quite chaotic but that's where the personality comes in. We ordered the eggs with toast and the full Scottish breakfast. Food was great, coffee hit the spot, and service was excellent. Even with the chaos they keep the place clean. Also, BEWARE they do not have hot sauce here LOL. I asked the server and she said "No, but it was worth a try to ask" Respect lol. We sat by the window and people watched and awed at the beautiful architecture of Edinburgh. It's a chill spot to rest and refuel. Would love to come back for their afternoon tea!
