Everyone we met was kind, caring and concerned. We knew mom was in good hands. When something happened, the nursing staff reached out to let us know. We always felt like we were well informed. We are so grateful for the mission, standards, and consistent loving care that this Nonprofit lives up to. And CNAs. Not hired off the street, "trained on the job". An RN on duty 24/7. Proper staffing. Low turnover. Quality care. My mother changed to the MD and ARNP that come out every week to see clients by appointment. A real difference for the healthcare assessment on site. My mother passed in hospice here after 9 months. She and we were blessed.

The staff/resident ratio is 1 staff for every 5 residents. I have worked at several senior homes, this is the only place that I have worked at that has a ratio like this.ratio like this. The other house never shut down and the other 2 residents my mom lived with still live there. They wanted my mom's money. Thank you to the Guardian and the Ombudsman. You saw their true colors. My mom is free and safe and I get to love on her non-stop. The staff at her new facility are amazing and so understanding and loving. Night and Day Difference! Stay away please!

We raised concerns multiple times with several levels of leadership and did not see any significant change in care. We were assured that improvement was/is occurring but we did not see the fruit of these apparent efforts. We have concern for others seeking care. Be aware that a care facility can meet state assessment benchmarks but still provide substandard care on a day to day basis. We found this to be true here. The other negative reviews we read totally line up with our experience. Our loved ones deserve better.

I was disappointed the second day I was there my chair footrest fell off & after speaking to a couple of staff I ended up calling the facility to speak with maintenance which I left a message. One day I didn't have a chair to sit in & had to stay in bed when I wasn't walking getting my exercise. Bless Colleen's heart early Sunday morning she pushed the old chair out into the hall & found me another. Leave it to a nurse to get things done! I noticed Colleen out in the dining room working on her computer & she took the time to talk to a patient from another area comforting her. As the aides were leaving for the day they all stopped to say goodbye to Colleen which is a sign of caring for your coworker & being respectful. NaWang was another RN who spent time with me educating & listening to me. One suggestion I would have would be for the facility to have dirty laundry baskets in the shared bathrooms as I would put my dirty towels & gown on the window sill which looked messy & unclean. The food was really good! I have no complaints about the quality & quantity. They had a nice selection of food & it was presented well. I was able to go out on the patio once I was ambulating better which was lovely!

On one occasion, when I visited, he told me he was very thirsty and had asked for juice, but no one came. On another occasion, he again requested a drink and told me he had been waiting for approximately two hours without receiving any assistance. One day, while nurse aides were cleaning him, one of the aides used inappropriate language, saying, "Oh shit, WTF." On another occasion, when I arrived to visit, a nurse informed me that my husband had been sent to the emergency room. The nurse told me that we needed to remove all of his belongings from his room. I asked whether I could reserve the room in case his condition improved and he returned. The nurse responded, "If you have money, then you can reserve the room." One of the aides helped me clean out the room and bring my husband's belongings downstairs. The physical therapists were kind and professional. However, I often observed nurse aides sitting on their cell phones rather than attending to residents. Based on my husband's repeated complaints that his requests for assistance were ignored, I remain concerned about the quality of care he received. My husband's condition deteriorated rapidly after his transfer, and he ultimately passed away.

My family specifically went with Senior Helpers because of Steve's assurances that he was "more than adequately" staffed to ensure the kind of coverage we sought for my mom. We already had experience with other PCA companies and were specifically seeking out a company whose staffing capacity would ensure my mother and her caregiver would be a good interpersonal fit. Unfortunately, Senior Helpers failed miserably and stated they could no longer provide care to my mother after a few short weeks due to staffing shortages. During the 3 weeks Senior Helpers attempted to be helpful my mother had 5 different caregivers. Consider a new business name--Senior Unhelpful or Senior Understaffed Helpers.

Steve also set up a new AI app in my parents appartment which senses unusual activity. It detected a fall in the middle of the night, and Steve got help to my father immediately.
