Because I needed struts and shocks all around then I had them install new high Performance Monroe struts and shocks.again very nice and friendly. Now I know why. They did halfway. The rear springs both sides were cut with a torch! And the struts were not new. No wonder they were so nice. But I was going to call them to schedule another oil change. They never called me back or responded to my messages. Because I without realizing what they did. Found out 1 1/2 later. So just case any mechanic is extra nice and friendly. I never received a call asking for approval or of a dollar amount. EVERY single auto repair shop I have ever used, always requests approval, before completing the work. That is for the customer and business owner. But they called to tell me that the repair was complete, they replaced the battery with a dead cell and battery cable end. What they didn't do was 1. Call for approval and 2. Save the battery with a dead cell, that was less than a year old AND still under warranty. If they would have called me like an honest business does, I would have said, ok, great. Take the battery back to where it was bought, which is actually colder than AutoZone, and the warranty allows for a freebie. Instead they ordered a battery from AutoZone and gave them my 1 year old battery which was under warranty and charged me $338. That repair should have been at most $200. When I raised hell about it, the 'owner' said to me, it's fixed, we made the repair, ordered the battery and if you want you can go to AutoZone and get the olde one. First off, be a good business owner, and apologize. Secondly, make the call in the first place to get approval. How many people with batteries under warranty do you think they have done this with? If they are a long standing repair shop, which they claim to be, they have done this at least ten, if not 100. I feel as though this was an unethical practice and they have lost my business, my family business and whoever reads this. And for a difference of maybe $150 bucks. I am actually inclined to believe that the battery was good and they turned it in for warranty or used it for another vehicle. The fact is, the vehicle only drove 50 miles from the date I bought the battery.

Last but not least was Cole Auto , the owner Jason Cole quoted me 500 and that consist of V Tech replacement , tune up and oil change with Lucas. Jason was honest and direct , and that is hard to find anywhere. I will continue to do business here for as long as I live in the West Portsmouth , Ohio.
