There's many moving parts when it comes to hair loss for women. Genetics, hormones, stress levels, medications, etc. I've been down every path imaginable. I had some issues resolved or at the least improved but in the last two years things really went downhill. I guess that's we you'll look anywhere for answers... Hence hair club... I knew I was well past an FUT as I've already had that procedure done twice and it did give me a more feminine and lowered hairline. However, I thought it would be helpful to get an updated scalp analysis to see what else u could do to help all my hair, thinning and loss that was in other parts of my scalp that I had no explanation for. So I set up a consultation with hair club( I guess they are a big chain) I appreciated that that included a scalp analysis with the scope to really get close up of what things looked like to date. So I came in and I wouldn't call the environment even a bit luxurious on a salon level as the prices they quoted was not aligned. Medically speaking, there were no RNs PAs or MDs present and even the virtual visit I had with the Consultant she was none of the above as far as qualifications to my knowledge She just introduced herself as hello my name is... additionally almost borderline insulted my actual MDs work who is extremely highly regarded in the industry in Beverly Hills not on a zoom call in i'm sure her living room wherever she's located. Even more troubling it was unprofessional as I could hear her yelling through the phone at the gal who was trying to take images of my scalp and follicles telling her how she did a terrible job and they were useless images. So they sent in a second person who was able to capture the images to the consultants liking. Then they stuck me alone in the room with the iPad for a virtual consultation. At no point did they say please put the tablet on the counter in front of you or any instruction so I just held it in my hands and she began to complain that I was moving it too much in a rude manner. last time I checked, there's nicer ways to say how to place the tablet especially if you're trying to squeeze $6000 out of someone for red light, helmets peppermint based shampoos and serums that aren't even medically compounded as a doctor would have to be present to prescribe. Although a bit confusing because on the one hand, she said Rogaine is garbage throw away, but then that's what they use in their serum so that made no sense either. I did appreciated her trying to emphasize with me and such with her own issues with hair loss. Unfortunately She was very brash pushy and just seemed like a pharmaceutical sales rep given a script to just sell someone on something. The one biggest thing that turned me off was that there's no such hair management program where you use it for a year and magically everything is back to normal and you don't have to continue using products anymore aside from using a red light helmet, which I have been actually told by MDs were a waste of my time and not to mention money. So overall, regardless of what your underlying causes or goals, etc. it was basically just either a program to sell you their in-house shampoos, red light helmets, etc., and in-house salon services that were overpriced or to refer you out to a hair restoration specialist which I did not need since I've already been down that road. I don't recommend to someone who's been through many avenues only because of their approach. The tone & environment really just seemed like an overpriced Facebook ad with hopes that you would pay for it in person instead of online.
