Nevertheless, it serves the residents of the local area and visitors passing through. On my visit today I noticed two very nice playground areas that should please any child. There's also two separate picnic places sheltered from the weather. Men's and ladies restrooms are onsite. Additionally, there's a paved basketball court. Overall, I consider this a nice addition to the city ( or town as you prefer) and a park to be proud of.

Given the way it's angled, the leaf at the top is hard to see, and from the angles you'd likely be looking at it from, you might think it looks like something other than a peach. There is a restaurant next door which as of this writing is defunct. There's not much else nearby, but the couple of parking spots and small park set up around the peachoid make it clear that it's here to be visited. There are a few fruit trees, including some peaches, though the fruit appeared to have a high rate of getting hit by various blights. Natural part of a tropical climate I guess, but not an inspiring sight.

What I can't understand is why this park is closed and padlocked on a beautiful Sunday afternoon! I mean really; what's the point of having a beautiful neighborhood park if it can't be used? There's no sign that I saw that indicates this park is closed on Sundays. I believe that if I lived in the surrounding area, I'd be pretty quick to make some phone calls to the city management!

This dog park is the very next place beside Daddy Joe's Beach House BBQ who has an outside dining patio and welcomes our canine friends! Maybe that's where the dogs are! I've traveled by this place literally hundreds of times and this was the first occasion that I saw anyone here. One guy and his dog!
