He made unnecessary comments to the deceased mother about the condition of the body when he received it, he failed to provide a bottle of water for her during calling hours - after he was asked several times he brought a whole basket full of water and set it on the floor in front of the casket. He was rude to guests coming and going at the door. He failed to provide enough seating for the service. After the graveside service, we noticed the casket was not closed all the way and brought it to his attention. He walked up to me and another aunt and asked us "what the problem was", we explained and he looked at the casket and realized a latch was undone. He opened the lid and SLAMMED it shut, hooked the latch and then accused our guests of "messing with it", then said they also removed his light bulbs at the funeral home the previous night. (Which did not happen) He was practically yelling at us in front of everyone, as we stood next to our loved ones casket. We asked him to calm down and he argued some more. Finally other guests stepped up and told him he was out of line, so he went and sat in his car. A few minutes later his wife approached us, and said everyone was lying about her husband. Then she started yelling and shaking her finger at us until a group of guests came over and backed up what we were saying. She stomped off to the van with her husband. We had to stay until our loved one was completely in the ground because we didn't trust them at this point. The RUDEST, most unprofessional funeral director I've ever met in my 57 years. Failed in every aspect from parking to burial.

When my mom passed the staff who came to get mom were beyond compassionate and respectful. Also, when doing her obituary online, they were so accommodating and made sure my mother's wishes were met every step of the way. The entire staff made sure we were happy with absolutely everything. They also make you aware of everything they are doing along the way. By the end you felt like you were talking to friends who truly cared for your loved one. My brother stays w/ her and I went over for the appt - and a no show/no call. Around 9:45 I called their office to ask where Tom was. To summarize, Tom never showed, never apologized, left a msg at my home number when we were at my mom's home and although I returned his call asking for an explanation at least, have never heard from him - OR funeral director David. Appalling that I've got a 91 yo waiting to sign for how her remains will be disposed of (her request btw) and we sit around for 45 minutes for nothing. But never mind the call back. I wouldn't leave my mom's remains in the custody of this pathetic "society" or their unprofessional, incredibly uncaring staff.
