The staff at GNC are very knowledgeable about their products, and don't push you into buying a bunch of staff you don't need.

I love Whole Foods. I know I know, basic. But I do…read more This one is nice as it is in a convenient location. It also has a bunch of parking and a ton around. The space inside is always clean and open. Sometimes feels a bit empty. The cafe is cozier at the other location. Here it's a bit open and off putting. The staff is always friendly. It does feel eerie inside as it's always a bit empty. The prices are getting ridiculous unfortunately (everywhere). $3 for a drip coffee that was not even made by someone. It was a machine! And I brought a cup. Pretty solid hot bar and bakery. Always looks clean and fresh.

I have been a fan of Whole Foods through 3 cities and maybe 20 years. I've never been this…read moredisappointed. Now that I've moved from California to North Carolina I am really missing access to really good produce year round. Up until my most recent visit, Whole Foods had come as close as I could find here. Today I did the the 30 minute drive to south Asheville, and came away almost empty handed. The store was clean and the staff was helpful. But the whole produce section looked sparse, and the salad veggies were especially so. NO daikons, no romanesco broccoli, no colored cauliflower, heck, not even any colored carrots. Those I can even find at the local Ingles. The seafood counter also looked like it could have held twice the varieties it did, and the meat selection was unimpressive. Nobody at the cheese counter to answer questions / make recommendations. Wasted afternoon. Might be the last time I use this particular WF.

Aldi is not as posh as the other shopping stores in the immediate area. However, if you go in there…read moreto purchase particular things such as avocados or fruit, even cheese, you may find that your prices are 50% what they are in other nearby shopping areas. It's worth it to go there once or twice a month just to pick up very specific things that are at an extremely low price. Aldi does not provide shopping bags. You may purchase them but they prefer you bringing your own. Another unique thing you've got to put in a quarter to get a shopping cart but when you finish checking out and you put the shopping cart back you get your quarterback.

I love Aldi, I could probably be their spokesperson. I usually go to the Aldi in West Asheville or…read morenear Wal-Mart but thought I'd check out the Airport Road location today. I was very pleased with my experience. I usually try not to go to Aldi on Sundays, especially after 11am, because it's always so crazy busy and items (especially produce) are often running low or not stocked. This was not true for this location. I went in around 2 pm today/Sunday and although, yes, it was busy, everything was stocked and the produce was plentiful. The more often you shop at Aldi, the better you get at shopping here and maneuvering through the aisles (same with Trader Joe's) because the aisles are thin and it is a popular place. For me, the main selling points of Aldi are: -low prices -great produce choices/quality -a lot of gluten free, vegetarian, and organic options -very quick check-out -much more Earth-friendly than most other grocery stores This is my go-to shopping chain and can almost always find all (or almost) every item on my shopping list here. Great place!
