I would give zero stars if i could. I purchased a pre workout online and picked up instore. When i got home i realized the seal inside was broken and the powder was already coming out. I was not comfortable drinking the pre workout so i took it back to the store. The woman at the register looked at me as if i was trying to pull a fast one on them, I had me receipt in my hand, she said oh it normal for these to open like this. Well i still wanted an exchange, she did everything possible to make such a long process when all she had to do was exchange it. I have never had this type of treatment at other locations. Hello I was at your Monterey park location in CA and purchase a pre workout . After opening the container once home I noticed the product was not in powder form as it should be. I took the product back to replace but the employee working did not care to help. She mentioned all our products are like that so you can put it in your freezer for a day. I'm a director of wellness for Pendry part of Montage International and previous GM of Equinox. Both are luxury companies. I would never tell a guest or member what this employee told me or not assist I. Resolving the situation. Clearly there was a lack of care. Avoid this store. The woman that works there is very rude. And with a bad attitude. I went there to return an online order that i paid with paypal. She said she couldnt return it, because she doesnt know what paypal is.. really???????? She told me to return it where i bought the products. And i already explained a few times. I did an oline order. Comunication wasnt an issue. Because we both speak spanish. Now i have to drive to another GNC store to return my order. This was a very bad experience. 7/13/2023. New Year...a new resolution. Being in physical shape is important...but life happens. Being challenged to try to get back in shape is all the motivation I need. The goal in 2024 is to try to run a half marathon within 2 hours - or less. Lucky for me, I was in the Monterey Park area and opted to go into the GNC store. Not having a real clue as to what I was needing, I asked for help. The two associates asked me open ended questions to better grasp my goals. They then made some recommendations. I've got to state that I'm very pleased. Three days into the new year and the recovery drinks are working out well. Thank you GNC...very appreciative! read more

I been here several times for supplements. Have you ever had the feeling that the employee helping you, wasn't friendly and would rather be doing something else? That's the feeling I got today. I popped in to quickly buy my item, then head back on the road. It seems like the local GNC stores have closed. I was greeted when I arrived, I had a choice of two employees, and I chose the wrong one. He directed me to my product, tried to upsell me, then at the register tried to sell vitamins. After the purchase transaction, I asked about another product, he directed me to the display. And said "these are the best ones". After a moment, he left before I could ask questions. I looked at the different products but because of his manner, I decided to leave. I don't think I'll be back unless it's during lunch, when I can be treated properly. read more

Customer service is a non existing here. There's two employees at work, empty store, I'm the only customer inside and receive no acknowledgement nor a welcoming greeting. The employees look miserable to be "working" and unqualified when it comes to their product knowledge. I workout, 4-5 times a week, so I knew what I wanted and what I was looking for. To GNC, Customer service is key, management needs to do a better job at this location training their staff. Or maybe you need to reconsider who should manage this location. read more

But they refused to cancel & told me to return it to any store. I went to GNC store on January 26, the clerk, Edward, refused to refund me because it's pet product. I'm adding 1 Star simply because there is no option to add 0 stars. The only positive is they always seem to be well stocked. That being said if I didn't know what I was going in for chances are the employee Esperanza wouldn't know how to find it. Speedy checkout simply because she doesn't bother to try and add my rewards or coupon codes. According to her the system is always down. She always seems to rather be doing anything else. Unfortunately every time I've came in she's the sale rep working the floor. These issues are non existent at any other gmc around the area. I love this GNC. The woman who works there (I think she's manager or something like that because she's always there when I shop) has the most mesmerizing eyes, she's super nice and she is KNOWLEDGEABLE about whatever I've asked her about thus far to boot! That includes proteins, multi vitamins, pre - workouts, fat burners etc. The prices are a little high but just spend 15 dollars for their yearly membership and you'll get GOOD discounts (usually 20% or more) and they'll give you nice samples every time you make a purchase if you ask the cashier. GNC brand supplements are inexpensive and usually they're just as good in quality compared to the more expensive brands. It's a little small, but I'm not here to spend an hour browsing around. read more
