The movers were very careful with our items, and they packed up all of our furniture in special wrapping to prevent dings and scratches. One thing that we were impressed by is that MSU uses Mayflower for all of their moves, including when the president's office moved from Allen to Lee. As an institution, that's a big vote of confidence with their wallet. Bob was very thorough in walking us through all the forms, including the insurance forms in the event anything was damaged. I would say the only piece of advice I have from the move is make sure you find out who will be delivering your things when you get to your destination. The folks who met us with our stuff were surly and unprofessional. Our friends who also used Mayflower for their move also had really big problems with their delivery in New York. If you are moving across town, it's a non-issue, but if you are moving out of state then this is an item of concern.
