Virginia Reyes at Go Staff in San Diego contacted me through text on Saturday afternoon to set up a one hour interview process on Monday. I went, she was 25 minutes late to the interview. The job she said I was originally interviewing for she never mentioned. She only mentioned a warehouse position, Virginia requested 2 hours of my time, making it seem like I got a job, requested orientation, a drug test and important documents signed all my personal info. They have this complicated hour reporting system. And say they won't pay you if you don't report hours right. So I went in to use their computer and confirm I'd reported hours right with go staff. I was told I had reported correctly. I get a call almost a week later saying my hours hadn't been reported asking if I'd shown up to the job. I asked what needed to be done. "Come down here," they said. And I did. They again confirmed everything. To be sure I called the day before I was to pick up a pay card to confirm. Go staff once more confirmed. But they didn't have the check the next day. No one would tell me why. They left me waiting in the lobby over an hour. This place couldn't even give right directions to jobs sometimes. Not only I did not make to their appointment They called me up for a rescheduling the day after about this Class B job for in miramar. So Wednesday Oct 30th I went to them filled out all of their information that's needed from me on their computer.. Met the staff that wanted to talk to me HIS NAME IS CHRIS I Asked Chris if there is a job that's closer from where I live (( CHULA VISTA )) CHRIS says," YES that there is 1 similar job in chula vista." I have been at Go-Staff for a few weeks now, newly hired as a client relations manager. In the short time here, I have noticed a few thing that have made me excited to be part of the team. First off, the transparency is what I am most happy about. Fact remains: representative scheduled an appointment with new client and was at lunch when client arrived and NO one knew her whereabouts. Go-Staff is a sorry company. Everything they have going on from clientele to employee is a problem. Recriuiters dont give a crap. Managers lie and say they gave important information to employees when in reality they did not. They will tell you that they are sending you to a work site in Clairemont when it will really be in Oceanside, then after a long work day of labor/construction, they take pride and get a little laugh out of providing no sort of transportation back. So you you would be stranded and have to figure out your way home. I can guarentee a reply to this comment, if there is one is going to be an "i am sorry you feel that way" or a "sorry that happened". Nonetheless it will be some form of patronizing. Definitely, not in anyway remorseful. If you find yourself on the phone with a Go-Staff employee and know that the conversations is going left based on proper actions you(the employee) have taken, and withheld your end of the bargain. Yet the Go-Staff employee(recruiter, supervisor, manager or whomever in the likes) knows deep down where and how they messed up but still try to blame you(the employee). Dont worry, its just regular Go-Staff being the best they can be, which to the rest of the world is a disgust. P.S. if you are reading this, here is a hint. Next job you go to for Go-Staff. Know that the employers of that site have read the reviews(or at least have done some research) and figure they will take on an employee because they need spots filled. Talk to the site supervisor and tell them to call you directly, cut-out the middleman(Go-Staff). Negotiate your own terms with the site when Go-Staff hits you with their famous "we have no openings". many locations, this just happens to be the one I went to -- The people who work here are helpful, and have found me temp work when I needed it. -- got paid on time, not enough to brag, but cash in my pocket when I was between jobs. I have gone to Go-Staff about 15 times when I needed temp work (ranged from school events, a beer festival, a mac and cheese festival, a halloween party). They pay you by putting money on a debit card that they send you. They once paid me extra for driving the other temp employees to the work site (about an hour drive away). I used that money to get new car tires that I needed. My review of the reviews: People complain about the jobs they get for people or the customer service. Temporary or "hired for the day" type of work is not something you build a career on, its something you do when you just got let go from your last job, or you are a seasonal employee and this is your off season and a chance to make some money. read more

Extremely unprofessional... First off, I am unsure if I interviewed on casual dress day by the looks of the staff. I felt overdressed in a suit, closed toed shoes and manicured nails (as opposed to the remaining island of nail polish remaining on the interviewers nails). The interviewer (and I use that term extremely lightly) seemed lethargic, impersonal and stressed (at nearly 10:45am). The initial process began with a 12 minute timed Wonderlic test followed by a very brief interview. The interviewer, slowly read the interview questions from a Word document. She asked me if I had any questions to which I responded, "How long have you been with the company?" The interviewer turned red as if she was taken off guard. Easy question, right? Additionally, I asked the interviewer how long she has been in Recruiting and her response confirmed my suspisions. If offered a Recruiting position with/for this company, I would not accept the offer. My most humble advice to Leadership is to develop your staff! She asked what type of work I was looking for (I stated it on the pre app), and when I said I was looking for clerical, she asked when was the last time I worked in an office. I asked her how far back did she want me to go, and she made no comment. I told her that I would call her when I got home, because I was at the trolley station, and it was hard to talk to her. When I got home I called back, and got another person on the phone, because Justine was busy. She was supposed to email me an application and some online testing, and I never received it, but yet she made me an appointment. At this point in time, since they never took the time to send me the application and testing, I don't think I want to waste my time on them. Before working here, I struggled finding the right company to work for where I can better myself and be able to afford to move out on my own. After a few years I was able to buy my own home which is something I thought i'd never be able to do (especially during the recession). This is the most unprofessional staffing agency I have dealt with. The atmosphere and attire of their staff is somewhat of a set back but I let that go. I have never done so much paper work for a staffing agency before with no explanation. Probably 1 hours worth at home and 2 hours worth while being there. Also, I let that go. But I got a call from Rebecca that I had missed due to several events that day going on and called her back as soon as I was able to. Process was quick and simple. Filled out an online application and was called in for an interview. Courtney, one of the staffing recruiters was nice and helpful said there was a job she is going to be placing me with and made a copy of my driver's license and social security card. In addition...had me complete paperwork to start. Had not heard anything for apprx. 2 weeks so I contacted the office. She apologized and said she was on vacation and thought one of the staff notified me that the position was given to someone else. WARNING!! Go-Staff is a fraudulent company, I signed paperwork that stated my minimum salary requirement was $15/hr, they called a few times with offers for less however I had to turn away, they schemingly got me to work for 2 weeks under the understanding it was for $15/hr, when its time to recieve my check I got the run around as far as why it didnt get mailed, after waiting 2 weeks to finally get it they paid me only $10/hr. I called and spoke to Jean-Marie she stated that she told me and I must have not been listening to her because she multiple times stated that she doesn't make mistakes. However I told her she never did, and why would I accept work for $10/hr when i turned away $13/hr and $14/hr from them? She told me that my situation was unfortunate and she wouldnt do anything about it, when I demanded to speak to an Owner or Manager she said she would get back to me. When she finally did, she said that they would pay me $2.50 extra making it $12.50/hr only if I promised not to discuss this matter with anybody and to sign that I was paid in full, also that I wouldnt bring any legal action against them. Because I refused to sign they didnt do anything. I warn all doing business with Go-Staff that they need to take a second look at what kind of people they are doing business with, I am a single mom, they took money that I worked hard for also traveled from el cajon to miramar. read more

To no avail, there hasn't been any mention of my hours and those hours were shorted last Friday. Fuck this company. If you want a real temp company, walk across the street to American Labor Pool. They pay their employees well. Go-Staff doesn't give a fuck about paying their employees well. My shortage of hours comes from some truck ass supervisor saying I wasn't at work, when my supervisor through Go-Staff was there to vouch for me. I work for Go-Staff, it should be their responsibility to ensure their employees get paid. They pay their workers chump change and get rich off of us. The owners should get investigated for pimping and pandering because they pretty much pimp us out. Suggestion to everybody: Go to ALP, Eastridge, Manpower, or Aerotek if you want to work for a company that will compensate you for the hours that you work. It's been over two weeks and Go-Staff hasn't given me any fucking updates.
