The drama continues with this company. It is impossible to reach anyone by phone unless you complain through Yelp, so here it goes. I have made 2 rent payments this month, including late fees, through my resident portal, and I keep receiving notices that they have not been processed. The bank says the payments have never even reached them, so it's not on their end. After several emails, and at least 8 phone calls, I cannot reach one person to talk to about this. Luckily, we are moving out in the next week so I don't have to deal with this company anymore. ***I will not make any more payments until I hear back from somebody. I'm sure the late fees will continue to accrue despite this inconvenience. I recently moved from a Goal property home in GA we received the breakdown of charges and interestingly enough the repair charges matched my deposit to the Penny. they also did not apply those charges against the security deposit we paid when we moved in 2019 so the charges were referred to a collection agency. I reached out to Kytria Faison to dispute the move out calculation but of course I haven't received a response from Goal Properties now known as Bridge Homes. I should have known before I moved into one of their properties. Getting in contact with them was nearly impossible. Also, so much miscommunication on their end. When we moved into the home, it was filthy, and the carpets were not clean. When we received the keys to move in, I had to have it cleaned before I could actually live there. I have three small children including a crawling baby. Although the lease says I have to have The carpets professionally cleaned, it also says to leave it in the condition we moved in. We lived there for 6 months, and paid $4,000 (2 months rent)to break our lease because we were sick the entIre time living there. Upon move out, we deep cleaned the home, but did not have the carpets cleaned again. Long story short, they charged me for damages the previous tenent caused even though I sent them pictures of everything when we moved in. They also denied fixing a running toilet which cost us $40+ a month in water bills. After the 3rd month there we turned off the toilet (in the kids jack Jill bathroom) and our water bill dropped by $40. If I could rate this company a minus zero, that would be too kind. The goal of Goal Properties is to not punch out the home upon the new tenants move in date. Once you are in the new home, they delay the repairs for at least 60 days, at which time the repairs become the new tenants responsibility. You have no recourse because per the lease the tenant is responsible for most repairs to the home, however, it is not fair to move in with issues and be charged for the same issues that existed before you move in. My fiancé and I were going to rent one the the properties on Carlton Pointe Drive. Once we got approved we had 24 hours to give them a security deposit and then 24 hours from then to sign the lease. At that time we had not seen the inside of the house. They kept saying maintenance was cleaning it and fixing it up so it wasn't ready to be viewed. There weren't any pictures either. My fiancé and I were desperate at the point and just agreed because we had just moved from out of state and we're currently living with my fiancés parents and her 7 siblings for 2 months already. Well about a week prior to our move in date we were finally given the code to view the home. When we got inside we were absolutely disgusted. It smelled like someone died in there. Floors were dirty, walls were dirty. Kitchen vinyl was torn up. Carpet in the bedrooms were bubbling up and had appeared to have never been cleaned before. Stains on the walls, floors, etc. Front door was busted. It was just gross. So that night we emailed the leasing office that we were very disappointed and that we were no longer interested in the home. We got no response. It took me messaging the corporate office pictures and exposing what happened for the Atlanta office to respond. We asked for our lease to be voided, they said that they did and we asked for our security deposit back within 10 business days. That was 8/29/22. It is now a month later and they have been telling us for weeks they mailed it out on 9/7. They keep insisting that usps is just taking forever. I asked for tracking number and they said they don't have tracking numbers, that they send their checks in regular mail. That to me just seems unprofessional. Worst experience ever..... but I got 3x my deposit plus attorney fees from them in the end. The whole process is a poorly run scam. I kept the house in perfect condition. They took my deposit, charged me an extra $300 for damages and put a collection against my credit. Fortunately, i called an attorney. It took some time but it was an easy case. They don't follow the code at all and put up no fight in court. They paid quickly after the judgement. I highly recommend Warren Auld, attorney in Snellville, Ga. It took some time chasing them down at first. But after we found the correct contact, it went smoothly. I don't get anything for using this attorney except that I know he knows their scams and is willing to take more cases against them. Goal Properties treated me so bad while I was living there, including cutting off my water account with no notice, treated the lawn without notice and my 2 year old ate it, then stole my deposit and tried to ruin my credit. Applied with this company & was approved. I don't have bad credit, and steady job history. They told me to submit my deposit within 24hrs. I went to submit the deposit which was $2330! I signed my lease a day or 2 after that & set up my utilities. I wanted the home but kept asking to get the code to get dimensions and they kept ignoring my messages. Today I get a email saying I was denied due to unsupported documents!!!! If I can give them 0 stars I would. My wife and I were looking to rent in S. Fulton, Atlanta area while our home is getting built and we came across a home Goal Properties were renting. We called and was informed the home we were looking at was not yet available, but should be in a day or so. But was still urged to apply because no one has applied yet. We applied right at that moment. We received an email from Saadai Walker asking us for more information, in which we submitted within a few hours. We received an email 3-4 days later stating we were approved for the house and to sign an agreement and submit more paperwork. We submitted everything within the hour. We were also told we need to bring in 1855.00. I immediately went to go withdraw the 1855.00 and got money gram checks. I informed Saadai Walker I got the checks and she informed me to come by the office the next day 04/22/20 and she will be in the office from 2pm-4pm. My wife and I arrived at 2:04pm and no one was in the office. We filmed ourselves placing the checks in an envelope and sliding it under the door like we were informed to do if no one was there. We arrived home and got an email from Saadai Walker reporting we were too late and someone placed their checks under the door at 12:56pm! We were floored!!!! Who approves several people and do not inform each person they approve that others have also been approved? We were informed, after the fact, by Chris (Saadai) co worker, they approve many people and whoever bring the money first get the place! Dumb as all hell! It is smart, but dumb to not let people know that is your policy. It is not being transparent and you give people a false sense of hope when you say they are approved, only to snatch it away because someone brought their money before you did. If you give me 24 hours to bring it in, then that person deserves 24 hours or I would've brought the check in the day I got it. I will never do business with these people, nor will I recommend anyone do business with them. The way these pics look, I am glad I didn't. I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau. We have been renting from them for four years and we would have left if it were not SO close to our workplace and we knew that we would have gotten any of our security deposit back. I'm disappointed with their application process. I applied for a few homes in the Ellenwood area, one with them. This is not an upscale area so the median credit ranges are in 550+ level. The house has been empty since July and they keep dropping the rental rate. It will stay empty because they are being unrealistic about who they want to put in the house. GOAL looks at your credit report from a third party ONLY, and gives you an instant denial without even looking at your current situation. Some of the items on my credit report haven't been updated in years and they used that to compare my current income/salary! That's ridiculous! A waste of application fees, so do not apply if your credit score is lower than 600. Ignore that chart on their website that says you could pay a higher deposit if you have a 500 credit score. That appears to be just to get application fees. I was approved for the other homes easily and will take one of them, as they looked at my current salary and recent rental history as a whole when applying. If I could give no stars for this company, I would. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. The entire Atlanta office is a shit show. When I first moved in with my wife, there were many things wrong. There was poop in the guest bathroom that we showed to the property manager when we did our walk through, and our property manager, Chris, didn't even give the time of day to apologize or anything. Then, we found that we were not going to be able to get water for a week, because GOAL Properties had put a lock on the water lever that caused Gwinnett County not to do anything until a Goal property technician came out to take off the water lock. And when we got our first water bill, we were charged for the time they had the water lock on it, and when I brought it up to the property manager, he would not reimburse us. THAT IS THE LAST CONTACT I HAD WITH THE PROPERTY MANAGER. Once, when the water came on, we notice that the hot water in the kitchen sink, and the cold water in the guest bathroom stinky did not work. We left multiple voicemails, left multiple emails about it. Then, thru the entire lease, we were charge for renters insurance thru Goal properties even though we had our own renters insurance and gave that information the first day we moved in. We also opted in their air filter program, but they sent us the wrong size air filter. I tried to get in contact when anyone about fixing it to the right size, but no response. But I was a good tenant and paid rent include the wrong charges on time every month. Once I was able to put in my 45 day notice, that was the next time I actually spoke to a person at the Atlanta office about what was happening, and they act like they had no clue, that it was their first time hearing about any of this. They actually told me I WAS IN THE WRONG. The only person that actually cared about my situation was the corporate manager that was in charge of eviction and complaints. He even told me on how much of a shit show the Atlanta office is. Sadly he could not help because the responsibilities fell on the Atlanta office, not him. Now they are refusing to reimburse me for the bogus charges that they have charged me my entire lease. Saadai Walker and the entire Atlanta office are very unprofessional and do not care about their tenants. They barely answer the phone. I applied for a home first was speaking with a Brandy. She advised me to apply somewhere different since it was already pending an application for someone she spoke to via the phone and she was sure he would get approved However, the home was not even on the website yet or through the 3rd parties portal (where you apply for the home). I hung up with her got another lady. She advised my mom abf I to go ahead and apply the property had no prior pending applications. Also findings ( 3rd party application portal) contacted me and told me to go ahead and apply now as it was just listed on their portal to apply. This was May 6th. So my mom and I applied waited a few days called back. This time transferred to a guy name Is Isaiah, super friendly helpful guy. He also advised that I was the first to apply however, the property was going through pricing issues and that is what the hold up is at the moment. A couple more days went by I call again 5 times finally someone gave me and ext to a Cassandra. She advised that someone else was approved for the home before me which applied on May 3rd. Well that's strange due to the property not being listed until May 6 th on the website and the portal. ( let's make that make sense). She then transfers me back to Brandy who has an extremely aggressive attitude bc I am calling her out on her bs. She keeps saying it's first come first served and he called first. Well I applied first the correct way the system way. This was definitely an inside job and someone she knew and wanted to have that home. The worst rental company ever!!!! I have a terrible plumbing problem in my home since I moved into the home in 2018. The first year I accumulated so many repair charges i just paid the balance to get to a zero balance. after that I started having the same plumbing problems with my toilets and shower drains. Once I noticed the ongoing problem I requested someone to come take a look at the pipes because I shouldn't be having the same problem consistently but no one wanted to help causing my balance to pile up to $1,900!!!! for the last two years I was being told to hold off because they needed to reach out to management in regards to me wanting to dispute those charges & to just keep making my rent payments & to dis regard the emails I'm receiving. i was then told they're system automatically takes part of your rent to apply to repair charges if they sit for too long leaving a balance owed towards your rent. Although i don't authorize that. I was told their system automatically does that! Which shows a balance owed for rent! and that's not fair ! If I'm making a payment for rent that's exactly what it should apply too ! not maintenance repair that I'm told is being looked at by upper management! Now I'm being evicted by this dumb ass incompetent ass company all because they allowed some charges to pile up and now trying to say it's because I didn't pay rent! Which I did! Every month on time ! That charge is accumulated from repair charges! This company basically doesn't want to fix anything in their homes !
