I came to this Sally Beauty location to get haircare products like I do back home at a Chicago location. I came in; asked questions about a hair mask; and purchased my items. I left the store and went to Fry's (which is in the same plaza) to buy groceries with my friends. Some minutes after, THREE policemen approached me INSIDE the grocery store indicating that it was reported I stole a 3 dollar facemask from Sally. The latter happening in the middle of the grocery store with people all around which made it EXTREMELY embarrassing. I explained to one of the officers that I did not purchase a facemask and opened my Sally bag showing my items - a container of Cantu conditioner and a coconut hairmask. The same policeman asked if I had a receipt. I stated I did not. He asked why not and I responded that I did not ask for one - which is a common occurrence in retail. He requested for me to go back to the store to clear the whole issue, which I agreed. At that moment, as a minority - I am Caribbean Afro-Latino -, I was extremely anxious and feared for my life because of the country's current political climate. I would appreciate for whoever is reading this to imagine what it would be like to think that you were about to be arrested or even worse, be killed, on the day of your birthday due to a wrongful accusation of stealing a 3 dollar facemask. We got to the store and I was immediately accused by the associate of stealing a 3 dollar facemask. I informed her that there was a misunderstanding and showed her my bag with the items I purchased. She stated to have seen me grab the 3 dollar mask and put it in my bag when I walked to another part of the store. She went on and reported to have been able to see the facemask in my bag when I left the store. I do not recall the associate's name, but I can describe her. She had fair skin, framed glasses, multi-color bangs, and brown hair. She was working the same shift as another associate who had black and green hair. The associate that accused me checked out my friend's items on Register 2 (which is the receipt information provided). I attempted to find her actual name on my friend's receipt, but was unable to find it. I spoke with friends of mine who work in retail and they informed me that an employee is to approach an individual suspected of stealing - unless Sally has a different policy. After she finished with her blatant accusation and me attempting to explain it was a mistake, one of the officers asked her what she wanted to do. She stated that there was nothing that could be done, but kept indicating to want the item back. I offered to pay for the missing item in question to clear the issue. She indicated that it could not be done because "it would throw the inventory off." I consulted with friends of mine who are managers in retail and they stated that unless Sally has a different policy in inventory management, the inventory can be manually adjusted. I suggested to look at the security cameras together to proof my innocence. She interrupted me before I finished my sentence stating, "I don't have access to those." All solutions I was suggesting, she kept shutting them down. The officer ended up suggesting to not come back to the store. This was one of the worst experiences in my life and even when asked to never come back to this location, I already have scratch out Arizona as a travel destination and will be informing my family and friends about this disturbingly traumatic experience. The whole sole reason I wanted to visit Sedona was to heal from these types of experiences that are deeply hurtful.

I purchased the under eye cream and was amazed by the results! I will definitely keep this as part of my skincare routine and be looking into more of their products to help fight the signs of aging. Space is nice however service was not. #1 different pop/r&b music was playing in room on what sounded like a phone. It was graphic and not spa appropriate at all. #2 she didn't wash my face at all. She asked if I had anything on, I said a little makeup, she used an oil based makeup remover but then didn't wash it, just started applying mask product, THEN put headband on my hair pulling mask product onto my hair and placed paper towels on my chest? Weird because this place looks nice and has potential but service was very amateur and cheap. Not sure how effective that product was when my face wasn't even cleaned. She did several quick masks and led treatment. She was nice, she really was. I get this is a hard economy and places like this are very sales heavy with extremely overpriced product. However I've had at least a hundred facials in my life, this was a step above a mall kiosk trying to slather product on. At checkout I was offered half off product.. eye cream was $170 prediscount. I paid my $44 and GTFO as quickly as possible.

We had tried every cream, oil and pediatrician recommended lotion to no avail. We stopped by the shop and I showed the shop keeper my little ones hands and she let her put a little on and said if it works come on back and buy some. My little one asked me about 3 hours later to put more on, which was a miracle as by this point my little was traumatized by lotions as many burn upon application and at that point she had cracks and blood on her fingers. We have used the Save My Skin cream regularly and not only did it moisturize and literally save her skin it saved my sanity. Now we are almost out and I'm desperate to get more, I really wish they had a website but if I can't get it that way I will drive the 6 hrs back to Sedona for that cream.

The shop specializes in handmade bath and body items like shower gels, bath oils, lotions and bath salts with a unique Sedona flair. Each scent is inspired by an element of the natural landscape, from red rocks and vortexes to the desert itself. People who enjoy earthy, herbal scents will have a field day here, but no matter your scent preferences you will find something unique and lovely. Those of us used to more humid climates do well to stop by and pick up their richly moisturizing, non-greasy bath oils to keep our skin soft in the dry desert air! Their bath oils are great in the hair, too, in small amounts. I only wish there was a website to order from home!
