The facility blew me /us away! The happy couple had two floors - the third floor was for cocktail hour. The 2nd floor was for the reception, which boasted insanely scrumptious food (I had risotto; the man, a chicken dish), and a live band. Personal and beautiful touches of the couple were strewn througout the gigantic room. The decor was just beautiful and there were two big bars, with great bartenders. But not just out of the venue, they throw you out to the Bethlehem police (this is the money scheme they got going). So first they rape you with ticket, food & drink prices, then they get you in trouble with the law, for absolutely no reason. They feed the piggies sandwiches while they await the arrests. The tall dork in headphones is the one who calls the shots. He signals to the other event staff who he wants to throw out that night. They don't care who you are, but they do seem to target a certain type. We witnessed this many times, but always thought they were doing something wrong. NOPE! They are just looking for their bread & butter, and greasing the palms of Bethlehem's law system. You will get a nice sized citation in the mail with no way to fight it. By the time this "experience" is over, you've probably wasted $1000 of your hard-earned cash. Wind Creek and the Event Center are protected under the Patriot Act, where they can assault you and toss you out without any questions. The Bethlehem Police do not care, nor will they ask you any questions, because they are in cahoots with each other! Save yourself the money and trouble, and go anywhere else. The State Theater, Sherman, and so many others actually value your patronage and will treat you with respect. Wind Creek Event Center needs to shut down; they should be sued for running their scam on paying customers.

I've seen everything here from rock concerts to traveling shows like Cirque du Soleil, and they always bring in a solid lineup of events. It's about an hour and a half from my house, which makes it a really convenient spot for bigger shows without having to go all the way into a major city. The venue itself is well organized and the staff always do a good job keeping things running smoothly. I've always felt safe here, even when the crowd gets packed for sold out shows. Depending on the event, the setup can be seated or general admission, which keeps it flexible for different types of performances. Normally the acoustics are really good, although at the most recent show they were a little bit off compared to what I've experienced before. Ticket prices are pretty average overall not cheap, but not outrageous either for the artists they bring in. Overall, it's a great venue with a consistently good lineup, and I'll definitely keep coming back for shows here.

It was a bit of a maze to find the parking lot (thankfully, FREE), but after that I had a quiet afternoon enjoying the SteelStacks. One of the suggestions I got was to enjoy the walkway --- which is an elevated path along the side of the ol' steel factory. It's odd to walk by a factory that in its glory days had 100's of workers, to now being visited by tourist in a solace stroll. In any case, it's always great to see the birthing place of the steel that has given us so many iconic US landmarks, i.e., like the Chrysler Building and the Golden Gate Bridge. See - bet you didn't know that! If you're ever around this area, take in this one-of-a-kind location, it needs to experienced to be believed.
