Godfrey is my hometown and I like it. Godfrey is a cute little village approximately 32 mile north of downtown St Louis. It's known for the scenic bluffs along the Mississippi River and a mix of suburban and rural charm. The Village of Godfrey was incorporated in 1991, so it is one the newest municipalities. There's about 18,000 residents the majority of residents are homeowners and the community is popular with retirees. It's a township full of historical sites, fantastic community and dog parks and a beautiful scenic drive along the Great Rive Road. Godfrey is also home to, Lewis & Clark Community College. In addition to all these wonderful attributes, it is also a great place to start a small business. The locals support local. Godfrey is my, Home Sweet Home. read more

godfrey resident since 1955. nice place to live. accomodations nearby holiday inn, best western, u.s. hwy 67 / godfrey rd, main st. 22 mi n. of st. louis. friendly community. w/ lewis & clark comm. college. restaurants, fast food, wal-mart, niceplace to live. read more

Absolutely horrible when it comes to their zoning department! Tried towing my completely operable vehicle multiple times, but they called it "derelict". I even moved it off property for a few days, parked it in a different spot, and STILL was threatened to be towed!!! Do not live in this town unless you want to deal with constant headaches!!!! read more

My family and I have used them many times over the past 15 years or so for various last-minute documents to be notarized. There are usually only a few people inside, but they get thru them quickly and efficiently so there is hardly a wait. I think the longest I have ever had to wait to be seen is maybe 3 minutes. Our business is usually wrapped up almost as quickly as well. They are much more efficient than any other options I could go to, and by going here I also support my community by giving business to a small business. They also get to know their loyal customers by name which is nice too.
