Ehhhh it's a license office. You know you go in here thinking "ugh this is gonna be a day". This location is close to my home and I prefer to go here for all licensing needs. I've had a variety of experiences here ranging from quick and amazing to OMG I'M GONNA LOST IT IF THIS LADY TALKS DOWN AT ME AGAIN! I'm rating it a 2 because service is inconsistent and depending on which agent your experience will differ. I intentionally avoid one rude person here and will even let others go in front of me due to it. I cringe when she talks to people - it's almost like yelling at people. It's not just me, I've had people try to get me to go ahead of them when they are up and she is the agent. I think it's obvious that she is not there to help and it should be addressed my the management. If you get the other employees they seem to really want to help and will advise if you are missing a paper, etc without being condescending and rude. Another thing that frustrates me is that I received a notice in the mail advising me what I needed to bring to the office to renew my car plates. I brought all of those items to the office with me. THEN the agent tells me I need another document that I obviously don't have... I went to another license office that same day and they renewed my plates without the additional document... interesting. read more

This License office is steeling my money. It should be prosecuted, but even the Missouri attorney general refuses to investigate. He oversees this department. He should not be longer keep his job. I don't mind waiting. I don't mind paperwork. We all have to do it when we move and stuff. Like a few school teachers these people are over worked and under paid. I appreciate the job they do. I'm happy to have handled my business in just one day. Thanks a million to these hard workers. They welcomed me to the STL & properly. It's a little office clean safe and expect to wait its over crowded. Put lunch in a purse along with a bottle of water. Keep a positive attitude and have all your identifications and birth certificate and everything should be ok. Enjoy! read more

I always use this location when things come up that I don't understand, esp on my car. IT IS BUSY, because they are so helpful and efficient here, but I just take that under my consideration when I decide when to go up. I take my cell phone to keep me busy while waiting and maybe a crossword book. Other times, of course, they have smaller amts of people waiting, and you get taken care of pretty fast. I don't mind the wait time. I expect it. I even expect the employees to be rude and dismissive, but I can't accept them acting this way when I go above and beyond to show positivity. Two hours I waited, just to be turned away because the lower portion of the second form of residency was missing. Fine. I get that there are rules, so I'll accept my mistake. Best DMV I've ever been too. Most places you'll be there for hours and deal with rude rude ppl. Here there maybe one rude person but everyone else is nice and they're quick. So make sure you have everything and everything in your hand ready because they're quick and wanna keep it that way. read more

RUDE! Is where I'm going to start off First.. The Girl at the First Desk when You walk in is Extremely Rude & should Not be working with the Public. She does Not know how to speak to people, or properly explain procedures or how to go about getting the correct information needed. I witnessed her Nasty attitude with not just me but a Few others that were ahead of me. This lady wasted my time for Absolutely No Reason. I was told that I needed a receipt for my personal property tax(which I had) But because it wasn't reflecting sumthin else she was looking for(But was wrong) she sent me back to the office, Only for them to ask me what more do I need.They told me I am up to date on my bill and No payment is need on any Prior or current bill, and they have No Idea why I was sent back. They reprinted me Another set of receipts to take back(Just Incase). When I arrived back to DMV I encountered another teller, who was very pleasant and helpful. Took the same paperwork I gave to the Girl before with No PROBLEM and gave me my tags, just like that! That's when I asked to speak with a manager. The manager didn't seem to be Any better. I explained How I was treated and my experience since I came in. He looked at me with a blank dumbfounded stare and said thanks for the Feedback.. TBH I think he's scared of the girl anyways. Which is probably why she has so many complaints against her,but yet still works there. Not Only are these People Rude but Also Disorganized.. They are calling out numbers on both sides of the room. People who have never been, have no idea what's going on. It's two places to pull tickets from. By the time you sit for 15min, just to realize you been waiting on the wrong side of the room sucks. Not everyone is bad here. But the Girl in the First Booth Definitely set the Tone.. I would not Recommend going here, unless you want to be treated rudely, & your time wasted. read more

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. The lady at the first desk when you walk in the office was very rude and lacks human compassion. After going to get a copy of my receipt for personal property taxes she denied me my tags because it wasn't the receipt she was accustomed to seeing. She misled me by instructing me to go to the Personal Property office to retrieve an official receipt of my taxes. Which, by the way is NOT a requirement by any other license bureau. As long as you can provide proof of your taxes being paid there is no particular form necessary. She enjoys wasting people time and she should NOT be in customer service. It is not the niche for her! Avoid this office if you can. read more

No line on a Friday at 7:45 am, woohoo! I had to renew my license plates, and it only took about 5 minutes from start to finish (had all the paperwork ready). So if you take the time to gather everything properly ahead of time and get here during off-hours, it's smooth sailing. I came here on a Friday around 10:30am to renew my license. There were only two other people ahead of me. When it was turn, the lady renewing my information was polite and prompt. The other individuals assisting other people also appeared polite and professional. I was surprised that I only needed to pay $20 to renew my license versus the $37 the DMV website indicated. This was actually a pleasant experience for once and I will definitely continue to come here in the future. read more

What a pleasant surprise! I have been to many DOR offices over the yrs & always anticipate the long wait as well as being treated with disdain & rudeness, no matter how positive & pleasant I try to be. I was needing to pay sales tax on my new/old car, renew my tags & ask questions abt getting new plates. Leslie was kind, patient & smart as we completed our business. She took time to ask abt completing TOD on my car title & looked up proof of payment of personal property taxes rather than making me go home & find the paperwork proof. I was in and out in 15 minutes & without the moments of frustration & anger I have felt in the past. I need to call someone and voice this experience as it's time to recognize the efficiency of this office. read more

He said he was the manager ;He has no management or customer service skills at all . I live in another part of Mo but was in that part of town and thought I'd renew my license at the same time . Matt proceeds to tell everyone in the facility my business with zero regard to privacy. The entire facility and customers herd everything! My name . Address . Personal situation. We've only had great experiences the 6-7 times we've been over the past year. I'm new to the state and they've been very helpful with telling me exactly what I need to bring in the next time and how much it will cost. No long line, fast customer services and good coordination. But sometimes unnecessary procedure. I went to renew my car which I'm using for taxi business with commercial insurance. Unnecessarily they returned me to bring the letter from taxi commission. But I went different license office and renewed my car with out Taxi commission letter. As long as i've insurance for my car i'don't think they need to ask me Taxi commission letter. read more

Waited in line for over an hour to get my temporary Handicap sticker. ( I broke my right ankle 5 days ago). I had all the paperwork, and hauled myself in with my walker and casted boot, only to be told by the young woman at the desk ( who neither said hello, or smiled, or even made eye contact with me) that it appeared that the doctor's signature, ( which he handed directly to me), was a copy! I told her that he gave it to me as he left my appointment, so why could it not be used? She only repeated herself, and called the next number!! This DMV is known by many around Bridgeton to be a bit hostile, but I like to think that I give people the benefit of the doubt. Today, we went to the DMV in Overland, instead, and they were lovely, and smiling and friendly! It took all of 15 minutes, even with a line! read more

There is not a rating low enough for this fee agent office!!! My son forgot to sign his check when making payment yesterday... they called at 9:15AM this morning and left a voicemail message threatening to "pull" his registration if he was not in their office by 10:00AM today. I went to the Bridgeton Licence Office to pay the fee. They claimed that the payment had to be in cash or a check that was postdated to yesterday and would not accept a Visa since they could not post date the transaction to yesterday. That seems shifty to me... The office staff was very rude. A simple oversight that they didn't even catch was turned into an ordeal that was disproportionate to the magnitude of error. My family will never return to this licence office for anything!!! read more
