There are two things I appreciate most about Gods Closet. When i go to a second hand store I want to see second hand prices. I do not want to pay 10 to 15 dollars for a pair of pants. I can go to Wal Mart and do that. (Yes, I am exposing myself shamlessly as a cheapskate). At Gods closet they welcome, NO, revere the cheapskate!
Their prices make the average garage sale hound drool. It is fantastic. Stemware for 10 cents (why is there no cents sign on my computer, clearly not a cheapskate computer) Curling irons for 50 cents! Is anyone elses respiration increasing? Shirts, 50 cents, pants for less than a dollar! I can't stand it. Jewelry, all sorts of stuff priced to drive a cheapskate nuts.
Secondly, the ladies who volunteer there are also very nice, I like them even more because they are the ones who price the stuff. Now, for you poor individuals who live in Seattle this is no easy drive. It is off of exit 68, then go 20 miles east down Highway 12 into Salkum to get to this little gem of a place, right next to Salkum market. But if you ever camp out this way, stop in. If your respiration can handle it! read more
