This place was so hyped up by friends and family, I drove over an hour to check it out. I was not impressed. It rained and there were items outside getting soaked. We found a few items that looked okay but ended up only leaving with a bowtie because my kiddo almost stole it. The kids area smells like urine so I did not look too hard in there because I couldn't handle the smell. If I am honest that ruined the whole experience. My daughter heard they had great teen items. We found a dress but definitely no decent sz 0 pants, shorts or tops. Her friend that is a different sz didn't find anything either. We actually saw many better items at the goodwill that was just behind it. read more

If you use Google for directions, you might end up in a bank parking lot. I did. If that happens, just go back out to the main street and turn at the next intersection and you'll find your way to this shop that's a little hidden behind a shopping center. There's a small coffee shop on one side, that you can enter through the store or it's separate entrance. Be sure you explore all the rooms of this big store. They even have a few choice items displayed in the coffee shop. There prices were fair. Some prices were really, really good, some were a little higher, but not too bad. It just depends on what you're looking for. It's a very neatly-arranged store. I'm not sure if they do sales; there weren't any the day we were there. read more

This store is so clean and organized. The staff is very friendly. They are always adding to the selection and donations continually roll in. I have shopped here since they opened and the prices continue to rise. It's not as thrifty as it use to be and that has decreased my visits and purchases. Example: I was looking at a stoneware baking dish with lid for $20 and a similar one at the department store is $24. For receiving donated goods, I wish they could keep the prices down. I will keep checking in to see if the pricing improves because I like so many things about the store. read more

Drove by this place and saw the name and was very intrigued. I turned around and came back...wow, this place has really nice antiques and thrift items. Some things are out dated, but the new stylish items outweigh them. What I love most of all is the place is clean and very neat. I've actually left other thrift store due to the unkept messy appearance. But this place was so neat and organized...and hearing music that gives God praise is the icing on an awesome cake. The layout of the store is very appealing to the shopper's eye! I like how merchandise is displayed as it is easy to find items I may be looking for. Pricing is great and I never have to wonder what something costs as there is always either a price tag or a sign indicating the product's price. The store is also clean! The bathrooms, too! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! I bought a table that was in the back of the store and after I paid for it I thought it would take them a while to get it out to the front of the store. However, by the time I was done shopping and ready to go they already had the item waiting for me! (Even when they were super busy with customers and donations!) I also think Topeka benefits from having a thrift shop like this that keeps their donations local. I would recommend shopping at God's Storehouse! read more

I shop here lots. But don't be confused: a "church" it's not. No sacraments, no parishioners, no sanctuary, no doctrine. It's a couple of well-intentioned people who run a thrift store. Everything that can't be sold is donated to the needy. How many profits they donate to others or how much is donated to them or how much they personally profit is unknown. They are not federally registered as a 501(c)(3), but are listed as a church in the state of Kansas. Their pastor is a State Senator who is also their founder, who also tends to mix his campaign with his church. But they recycle, hire lots of folks, and fill a need in the community. And like the good "conservatives" that many Kansans are, we look the other way when they skirt the laws. read more

I stop in here about once a month and don't always write a review. Donation drop offs are easy. Helpers are always friendly. Today, in the heat, I was offered a cold water bottle. How nice! I have found treasures...like a designer purse for less than $20. Love that I can go in and find a lovely flower vase for $2 and a serving platter for $2. read more

I LOVE this place! I went to Topeka to buy a mirror from someone who lives there and after I had spare free time and went to this thrift store and it is the best store I've ever been to! I found so many cute things there and a beautiful antique gold round mirror for only $20! Not to mention it was huge! They have so many varieties of things like books, art, clothes kitchen utensils and more! Will definitely be coming here again! And the coffee is delicious! read more

This place is awful. The whole company needs extensive training in customer service. The GM repeatedly interrupted me when I tried to explain the severely inappropriate situation that happened when their mover guys came to pick up furniture. They're disrespectful, untrained amateurs. Hopefully they will get some training in professionalism & customer service so others don't have to endure what we went through. So very disappointing. read more

I love God's Storehouse. Anytime I go there to browse, I walk away with something! They have expanded the store since opening and now have the back area open for dressing rooms, furniture and home decor. They have a huge selection of items from gently used clothing, books (TONS of great deals on books - stop and check here before buying new!), kitchen items, decor, crafts and office supplies, jewelry, antiques, etc. Very reasonable prices! Went in as a first time customer. Was surprised to find their selection of good clothes and kitchenwares. Pricing is a bit odd as a brand new kitchen spices rack would be same price as a small food storage bag. But hey, you cant beat the price anyway. We found some kitchen items here for a huge bargain. We were about to get the same from amazon for three-four times more the price; we are glad we didn't get those items from amazon but instead found those in this place. The store is clean and items neatly arranged. Their coffee shop seems to be good and offering variety of beverages, but we didn't try. read more
