When I was…read moreready to return to work we looked at several places for daycare, but chose Stepping Stones since they cook all the kids healthy meals and snacks in house with quality fresh foods, do a lot of music and art with them, dance, play outside, science, and much much more. It truly is a Learning Center, but it also felt like visiting family whenever we'd pick up or drop off our son. It isn't like the super rigid more expensive day cares that don't allow the kids to be kids. The kids were so happy here! They are so well cared for and our son was always excited to go to school. He learned so many new words and good behaviors and they always communicated any milestones or things we could work on, and gave us the advice we needed. They are also a very clean and safe facility, and they went above and beyond using the Brightwheel app to give us updates about the day, diaper and clothing re-ups, and always called if they had any concerns they thought we should know. I completely trusted them and my family is so thankful they were there when we needed them. We needed to move out of Lawrence for new work and it is the only reason we no longer use their services. We highly recommend Stepping Stones for anyone who needs daycare and will always suggest it to our Lawrence friends.

My mother fought for 2 weeks in hospice and finally passed away and we couldn't have gotten through this very hard time as a family without this wonderful place and its staff. They took care of my mother so well and really made her last 2 weeks and ours with her so great. The Dr's, Chaplins, kitchen staff, and volunteers were great. The real heroes were the nursing staff and I honestly owe all the wonderful ladies that cared for my mom everything. Emily, Jodi, Sami, Dorothy, Autumn, Jodie, Kaylee, Melissa, Sarah, Michele, Elisa, and Ashley you all have a special place in my heart forever and I consider you all true angels. I can never thank you enough and bless all of you. If you have a loved one that needs hospice care please go to the hospice house it's simply amazing even under the hard and terrible circumstances they're needed for.

It is being poorly ran, the director and assistant director act clueless and the people they are hiring are unqualified to be around kids. I was unclear if some of the teachers even like kids with how poorly they treat them. My grandson was not properly integrated into the daycare on his first couple weeks, they ignored him while he was scared and new and balling his eyes out. There is no kind of nurturing that is provided from the teachers. Some of the teachers are cold and mean to the kids. The kids are unsupervised at times and climb the walls and stand on bookshelves, things that could lead to injuries. They also hit each other while the teachers pay no mind. The food offerings are gross and no effort is put into the food-at all. He would have poopy diapers when we would pick him up. They will leave your kid staring at the wall for over 2 hrs at nap time and give them no attention at all. They have live video and it made my stomach turn to watch how poorly he was being cared for, hence why I removed him as quickly as possible. I voiced my concerns and made it clear I was angry and unhappy with their care and Sydney (the director) never attempted to address any of it or even acknowledge it. Do not leave your child here. All you have to do is watch the live video feed and in one day, you'll be appalled at how this place is operating. I honestly don't know how they have any clients at this point. We found an amazing daycare since then and now we can have peace of mind our little guy is getting his needs met while in daycare. Corporate needs to get involved and do something about the 6th St La Petite.

Previously she would learn new words if we taught her new words, but now she comes home often with new vocabulary. They have been very flexible with a part time schedule, even when we needed to change our days every now and then. I have some dietary requests that they met with no problems and no attitude. Oh, and I asked and was told that everyone is vaccinated! If you need a full day or part time, this is a good place.

Each week I was amazed at what was being taught in pre-k on top of the normal curriculum: chess tournaments, space week, music, animals and their habitats, etc. It was pretty amazing to have my 4yr old come home one day and tell me an elephant is an herbivore because "they only eat vegetables". We were in Topeka only temporarily and winded up extending our stay solely so that our daughter could finish pre-k and summer camp here. It was such a blessing to have found this school and are so thankful for the time our daughter was a student here. Thank you for all you guys do each and every day. We will miss y'all so much!
