When we moved into our home there was a straggling pine tree taking up too kuch of the front yard we wanted gone. I wasn't sure how much it would cost, but when I called k&b they had a very reasonable quote of only $300. When I set up the appointment due to their schedule I had to wait about a week, but only three days later I got a call saying one of their crews had finished another job early, and could they come take care of our tree before the scheduled time. I was deleted delighted. A crew of onlt three young men very quickly arrived. They were safe and efficient, and had the whole tree, taller than our two and half story house, was down in just under an hour. Even more wonderful, they spent the next 40 minutes or so completely removing the trunk and top roots out to a five foot radius, raking and preparing the replaced soil, and completely reseeding. Within a week, that circle where that ugly tree had been was the best looking spot in our lawn! Best of all, it was all completely covered by the quoted price! No surprise charges at the end. I even had to pay him for killing G my grass, full price. Now I've had a tree in my yard for 15 years. No problems. I also have them check all my trees to make sure I am not missing anything that may be a risk in the near future. The association reached out(2-3x) and requested a call back inquiring whether they would be coming to shovel eventually or not. Nobody ever responded. Some of the owners ended up shoveling the several inches of snow for the entire walkway around the property so that the disabled and elderly had a way to get in and out of their condo and downstairs to their cars. To say we were disappointed with the company's lack of service and response is an understatement. Had we received a response in any way, my review may have been better. The charge for service is comparable for the area, but the quality of service and dependability is very poor.

Landscaping (and specifically mowing) should be an easy task, right? Cut the grass, trim the high stuff and blow away all the debris with a Mach 3 turbo blower that can normally blow the license plates off of cars. The things is, it really isn't that easy... It takes a knowledgeable, professional, reliable and pro-active approach and Madison Mowing Service is all that and a bag of mulch! I hate to cut my grass. It normally takes me about 2 hours on a weekend and that is time that I could spend by listening to the Brewers, firing up the smoker, drinking whatever beverage I have available and playing catch with the kids. That all requires a manicured lawn (for both actual use and also peace of mind). So, either I cut it or have someone do it for me. I also hate spending money on things that I normally could and should be doing.
