He was concerned that I had unfortunately torn my ACL. I was devastated, but Dr. Toole spent a lot of time explaining everything to me which comforted me. I got an MRI, and my ACL was indeed torn. Dr. Toole recommended surgery, and carefully went over all steps of the procedure as well as the rehab after the surgery. My surgery went great, and I am now 9 months out from my surgery and feel great. My knee is more stable than ever! You can't get a doctor's return to work approval unless the therapist says you're ready, so as long as your insurance will cover it, you'll have a hard time leaving. If you leave against medical advice your insurance most likely will not pay, so you'll get stuck with a $100,000+ bill. In my situation, the case managers told me that my short term disability was extended. That was false. Pros: I'm 52 days sober Cons: I got home yesterday and I can't pay my rent due to the case management telling me that I would be receiving two more paychecks than I did. If money wasn't a factor, I would be very impressed with the program. Unfortunately, most people have to bills. Holistix will say what they need to keep people in treatment regardless of their financial situations.
