General Construction: do not waste your time with this program. Gold Coast is definitely not known for the construction program. They have a poor passing rate. One guy went to all the classes and crams in the tri county area in Florida for 6 weeks, 28 hours a week and failed the first time he took it. Now that's definately saying something. Do not go to the crams. Definitely do not pay for them individually or you will be sadly disappointed. Do not expect to be taught a comprehensive amount of information at the crams. A typical cram session includes taking a test and reviewing the answers to questions you don't know. Do not buy the module book or cd's; they are full of typos and wrong information. (though they and the tests do point out the main test topics which is important) If you do buy module book and cd's make sure to cross check the information, but you would be better off elsewhere. The blueprints are laid out all wrong; some information is on the wrong pages....and you have to pay extra to learn how to read them (and they mention the blueprints are not to scale also). Be careful going to the classes and asking questions because you will get wrong information here. If you want accurate information look it up in the state issued books (not gold coast module book) or call the dpt. of professional regulations. Do not try to bring any of this up with the director, as your words will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes...ego. There are actually some really good online courses offered from other institutions. I would suggest checking them out. They are much cheaper and offer online help in the packages. One also has a pass the first time or get your money back guarantee. I think that is the same company you can buy your books already highlighted and tabbed. If you only buy the books and tabs you will be ok.The tabs pinpoint the important information. All you need otherwise is to brush up with the math (area, volume, percentages) and blueprint reading. You can Google "learn blueprint reading" and teach yourself. It's pretty easy, but seems difficult in the beginning. You can also google "general contractor math topics". You can also find some practice tests online for free. My advice is to study the information outlined in Bobs Tabs..it's all correct and pin-points the main points and important info., brush up on elementary math, teach yourself how to read the blueprints, and find some free practice tests online. KEITH GRANDY: FIVE STAR TEACHER There is much to be said of a professor and mentor that has been there, done that! I have never had such an amazing teacher like Grandy. I passed Grandys class TWICE. The first time I passed and became sucked into the day to day grind thinking I would get around to it... I lapsed the time frame for the state exam. He is so entertaining! I am not a good test taker. I hate studying. I am a social person, so anything "regulated" is quite straining for me particularly because I have other things to attend to. If you are a person like me, GO GRANDY! Keith Grandy is the BEST INSTRUCTOR I've ever had!!!! This is my 1st review, ever, and I cannot stress enough how amazing Mr. Grandy is. He is extremely knowledgeable! He has the utmost respect for the real estate profession and I can only hope to be 1/4 as successful as him. He has succeeded because he is smart and loves what he does. I feel he truly cares that the students pass and are prepared for the journey. He made the class so interesting that I woke up every morning looking forward to his class. Due to COVID-19, initially our 2 day CEU class was being postponed. I was happy to see that Gold Coast informed us that there would be a 2 day webinar instead with monitored attendance. Today was the end and it was an amazing success! Alessandro Danieli and Larry Singh were awesome instructors! They kept us engaged and on task. I actually paid more attention via this medium as I was not distracted by being in a classroom with 150 people who have their loud side bar conversations, not even paying attention or typing on their laptops when they should be paying attention. Not to mention the sound of their crinkling bags of chips. Your interaction in the chat group is also how they monitored your attendance. Also the random pop up question on your computer that asked if you are still present. Lol. I truly hope they are allowed to continue our CEUs this way on a normal day. I truly enjoyed it. Although some students would probably give mr grandy 1 star I would give him 100 if there was such a thing and make up for every one that gives him anything less than 5. This man has the energy that many 30 year olds would love to have. Can he be hard And or harsh at times in the way he expresses him self, yes but is it in the best interest for his student, absolutely 100%! I wouldn't have it any other way. Not mAny people do well with constructive criticism, I get that, but if you know that deep down he's doing it to teach us all the knowledge that this man has to offer you would deal with it. I completed the FREC I course with instructor PAOLO LUSARDI at the Gold Coast, Doral location. On December 8, 2017 I was successful in passing the state exam on my first attempt. PAOLO LUSARDI is an outstanding instructor. He is passionate about making sure that his students are not only solidly prepared to pass the class/state exams, but that they also have a good understanding of the principles and concepts throughout the course. Keith Grandy taught the class I attended, and boy, do I feel lucky I got him as an instructor. He is hilarious! So entertaining that there was not a dull moment throughout this intense week. Let's face it...Seven straight days of 60 plus hours, yet with Keith at the helm, he even made the math part fun. Aside from having such a dynamic and knowledgeable teacher, I learned so many valuable things through this course. Everyone should take a real estate course because at the end of the day, all of us buy, rent, own, or sell property, and have to learn how to understand contracts/loans/interest, etc. One final thing....I passed the test! The gentleman is by far one of the best teachers I have had an experience to deal with, he is thorough, knowledgeable, and he makes a true effort for you to understand the subject matter as well as his comical anecdotes will make time just fly by. I went to MLO Course with Bill Benson last weekend, I can tell you from the beginning till the end, is not only fun to have him teaching you, but you learn all about being a good mortgage loan originator. He was very informative and gave us useful advise. In General, not only he is an excellent teacher, but extraordinary as person and as a human being. no doubt about it. I am new at this, but I can tell you I got home with my brains full of knowledge and with enthusiasm to keep going, and I can tell you 90% of that its on the teacher. I highly recommend this course with him. no doubt about it...by the way don't try to make noise in the middle of the class cause you will hear "Quite!" like the old days!!!... This is my 2nd time I take a course at Gold Coast. This time I round I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. My professor was Mr. Paolo Lusardi; and he's just incredible. Throughout the course I kept thinking that whether I passed or not the final exam with the school the experience was just amazing. I knew that passing was up to me now; since the school and the professor was actually giving it all and going the extra mile to make sure we did great; that made all of us put more effort into the course because it was just a matter of us doing our part. My experience with Gold Coast School is divided in great and bad. If I had to rate the teacher I had most of the FREC1 course I would give 1 star. I had Randy for 1 day, he was better, but not great. I had Paulo Lusardi the last weekend of the FREC1 course, and he was AMAZING! He is a great teacher, I learned in those 2 days more than in the whole course! I would give Paulo 5 stars or more! I took the CRAM course but unfortunately I got terrible teachers, I failed the state exam for 1 point!!! the CRAM course with these two teachers was not helpful at all! I will wait until Paulo teaches the CRAM course. My suggestion to new students register with Paulo Lusardi in all the courses! read more

Another task completed! Gold Coast School gives you all the knowledge needed to succeed getting started on Real Estate field. Grateful for having had the best instructors who made the understanding much easier. First, Pre-License Course with Paolo Lusardi, then CRAM Course with Alessandro Danieli, continuing with a "PASS" status on the State Exam, and finalizing with the Post-License Course with Alexander Tucoquiel.
