I took the 14 hour classroom real estate continuing education course with Gold Coast Schools. We did not receive the 2023 course book like in years past. The handout provided to students was totally inadequate. The book provides a resource for reference in real estate practice that the handout does not. Secondly, I have had superior teachers in the past at the school. The teacher in this class was not one of them. I would not take a class with this teacher again. Just because we are not required to take an exam, does not mean that the material should not be covered sufficiently. I hold a masters degree in education and the questions they ask you in the state is completely useless to what you learn in class!! The system is backwards!! I have taken a number of courses over the past six years at three of their facilities and have been impressed with the coursebook, practice exams & results (which is what really matters, no?). I passed the continuing education with Marylin Guevara. I must say that this teacher goes above and beyond with the material she teaches and the way she tries to make the information understandable to each student. She really wants to make sure you pass and will carefully go over all information with you. A class like this with so much information can be so exhausting but this teacher has such a funny and wonderful personality that you enjoy listening to her. There was a lot of annoying people in the class not getting the information and asking unnecessary questions she was so patient and really took her time to make sure each person was prepared for the exam. You get what you pay for. I tried this other online school (real estate express dot com) which was way cheaper but in the middle of the course I was so insecure with the material I was "learning" I didn't feel confident enough to take an online test in the end of the course! So I decided to pay extra and go to a real class room and boy was it worth it! AVOID MR. KLEIN I had a great online experience with GC. Then I decided to register for the sales associate cram course at the North Miami 163rd location. On the first day at the beginning of class, I wasn't aware that the slideshow that the teacher, MR. KLEIN, was presenting was on the exact math questions from the back of the book. As he finished presenting the first math problem & showed the proceeding slides with the solution, I raised my hand & asked him to please click back to the original slide so that I can check my answer with the multiple choice answers. He rudely replied: I'm not clicking back to the original slide. If you don't know that these questions are in your book, I don't know what to tell you." I held my tongue and continued to sit in class, since I needed the review for my state exam that Monday. The craziest part is that he kept asking the class to participate, and the class remained silent. I think everyone was scared to contribute/ask questions after his rude comment & smart remarks about how these math problems were for 8th graders. A few hours later, on another math problem he was presenting, he kept suggesting an answer as he was solving the problem through process of elimination (not even applying the necessary formula) & in confusion, I raised my hand & said, "wait, but the answer in the back of the book says it's "a." He then rudely replied, "I don't care what the back of the book says, I care about getting to an answer." The entire class started laughing. I have never felt so belittled in a learning environment, not even throughout my entire University career. In my opinion, 1. if you don't have patience to work with people, you should definitely not be teaching the public. And 2. if the state exam and real estate career require you to know certain formulas, learning process of elimination is only half the job. Conclusion: I complained to admin & asked to be transferred to the Doral school. Although I had to drive a lot further, I had an amazing learning experience. AVOID MR. KLEIN read more

The 7 day class is intense! Make sure you read the first 4 chapters before you start. And don't plan on doing anything else but your hw and studying after you leave each night. My instructor was Peter Klein... So funny! He can talk for 9 hours and make it feel like four! He gives you these funny examples that will make you remember the concept for the test -- and for life. I highly enjoyed learning the material and totally recommend Gold Coast! They fulfilled their promise and I couldn't be more happy with the whole process! I decide to take the Sales Associate Course in a one week 63 Hrs course in N. Miami I'm myself a certified Mathematics teacher in Miami-Dade. Going in to class I was very excited to learn the material because is not a class that is required for a degree but a license that I would like to have for personal use. The educator teaching the class was Peter Klein. My first surprise was his monotonous tone of voice. This tone of voice is flat with no emotions. He has that voice that will put anybody to sleep. As class progressed I discover that he is was not a straight forward educator he spends a lot of time getting out of subject talking about personal stories that don't relate to the course. Then when you ask him a straight forward question he doesn't have straight forward answers so he as me to ask questions after class. I found that good educators make classes to be interactive not just a one man show. "Is not speech class" Also educators should learn to listen to the students needs and fill them in. If an educator doesn't listen to his/ her student he doesn't understand what the students heeds are in able to help or how they need help. If a student doesn't understand a concept expand on it and 0bring back to life give real life examples. Needless to say he makes learning an interesting material painful. I had to quit the class room because their no point to go to class if the teacher is not willing to answer my questions and expand on the concept. I'm able to read the book on my own. Therefore I change it to the online learning course, but I had pay a change fee of $ 50. I would thought that since it wasn't because a my own personal reason that I quit but because of their teacher that they would've waive the fee, but they didn't. What that meant to me is that Gold Coast is not willing to take responsibility of their educators. read more

Instead of enrolling at Gold Coast, try an online course from another Florida Real Estate school. You will save time and money and learn much more than by sitting in class for 63 hours listening to the clown who gets paid to baby sit and does not care whether you pass or fail the final exam.
