Very unprofessional! They have their driving instructors smoking on their 10 minute breaks and come back reeking of cigarettes while inside a car with all windows rolled up. Well, now I must update my review. If it is true, that I was speeding, which I wasn't, why would your instructor have your student turn into my lane? In my opinion, that would be very unsafe and isn't she supposed to teach safety? I noticed you did not address the issue that she had her face down the whole time in her clipboard instead of paying attention to the road, hence, how could she see if I was speeding? Update!! You called me back once!! And that was before I paid for a package online! After payment, you had no intent of contacting me. I suggest you learn about customer service skills and how to handle a business effectively, without the attitude. It is a businesses duty to book lessons as I do not have access to any of your instructors diaries. Please be more attentive to potential/all customers needs. As for your instructor who answered my call, she was with a student and lied to you. I'm grateful there was no accident but you should retrain her on phone safety regulations & law whilst being the only licensed driver in the car. When I first contacted them, the instructor answered whilst in the car with a student. An instructor should never answer the phone whilst being the only licensed driver in the car. They were very rude and accused me of lying when I said they hadn't contacted me. I quickly sent them text screenshots and offered a screenshot of my incoming and missed call history. They had only tried to contact me before I had paid, but once they had my money they had no interest in following up with lessons. Their defence being that they simply do not have time or need to chase students for lessons... how am I supposed to know your availability?? Do not use this school. Do not go here. Have so many negative things to say about this driving school. I only took lessons with them because my driving school were fully booked. They quoted me the wrong price, turned up 15 minutes late with no apology. During the "lessons" I was given false information about the test. The instructors had issues communicating properly and I was confused and shaken up for most of the lesson. They have this weird break in between.. Everything about this school is unprofessional. They even had the audacity to tell me I wouldn't pass my test when I had booked it. Well I ended up passing today. Clearly they just wanted to rip me off even further. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with I made an appointment for Sunday and they never showed up I called them so I was asked if they can come an hour later I said let's make it for Monday she was grateful then the instructor could not find my house and said you come get me at CVS I told him no I am paying for you to pick up my son the instructor then said do you speak English I hung up on him and called the company back and said I would never use this company and the way the instructor talked to me I would not allow him to drive with my son. ‼This is my personal experience with this business.‼I purchased the 6 hours of driving lessons from Gold Driving School on their website.The instructor Shirin is very nice and I felt very comfortable with her, however, 80 percent of the time she was distracted on her phone texting or occupied with receiving calls about potential customers making their appointments during my lesson. Yes you read that correctly (during my lesson!) She did give me good tips and techniques for driving a car so I appreciate that but as a beginner driver I was very nervous and these distractions weren't helping. It was very unprofessional and very dangerous but all lessons were good I guess. It would be great if all driving instructors could turn off their phone or at least put it on silent to have their full attention on the lesson and students. And just a recommendation; there should be a person or receptionist that makes appointments NOT during a students lesson. Thank you. read more

I share the story because I do not wish anyone to face such terrible situation like this. Everything I posted here is true. If anyone would like to see evidence, send me message, I'll provide them. Warnings! Do not use this school. Do not make any payment in advance or you could lose portion of your money and maybe over 2 months time dealing with their administrative failures, dishonesty, rude and no quality service. This is what happened. 3/19/18. I paid $599 via paypal on their website for lessons. 3/20/18 I tried calling and texting school the whole day, from 9am. to schedule first lesson. No one responded to calls or text. I contacted driving instructor myself and informed him that it's been all day I could not reach the school to set up an appointment so I do not want to start using thier service. The instructor said I should talk to school. Finally at 7:40pm their staff answered the phone. I informed the staff clearly that due to their below standard service, I don't want to take any lesson with them. I requested for a full refund. ( Please note that the $599 was made to them less than 24 hrs.) The staff claimed that her boss is on oversea trip and it might take some time for a refund. I said that's fine with me, I just want a refund. 3/22/18 I received a Paypal notice for a refund of $581.33 instead of $599 ($17.67 missing).School informed me that paypal service is charged upon me. I disagreed to that since I never used the school's service. I never accepted that refund and money returned to school. I then dispute the $599 charge with my credit card company since no service was taken place. All seemed well, I received full amount money back from credit card company. I thought issue was solved. 4/28/18 the credit card company reversed the dispute because the school informed them that I took 4 hrs lesson with them. But I NEVER took any lesson with this school! NEVER! I contacted the school, they said it was a mistake. It supposed to be for another student who took class with them. Then they said it's Paypal mistake and would let their boss know. 4/30/18 I got text from school saying it is paypal mistake and I would get the money back any day. Their money back any day never came. 5/21/18 No refund from school. They also never informed credit card company of their falsely claim that I took lessons with them. I still got charged at $599. I contacted them again. Their staff said that her boss made the payment via Paypal. I confirmed that I never received any notification from Paypal and I still got charged from my credit card. She said she would ask her boss to call me. 5/22/18 Her boss never contacted me. All I got was text messages saying that Paypal messed up the payment. And it's also because of credit card company that the money couldn't be refunded. My response was, first of all, the credit card company their staff mentioned is not the company I use the service. So please check. Secondly, credit card company just informed me that the school told them that they will refund me directly. Later in the day, I got Paypal notification for a refund. But it's only $575! $24 is missing from the total amount. I checked with them and they said $24 is to cover Paypal service fee for two refund transactions. I said it's unfair to make a potential student cover Paypal fee for school's mistakes (they could not be reached for class appointment, they charged money to a wrong person, they denied credit card dispute by providing false information, using info intended for someone else to claim and they didn't refund money, without following up). The staff said she would check with her boss again. Then texted me saying that not just me, school paid Paypal fee too. And her boss said he should charge me 30% cancellation fee if I cancel payment for any reason but he never did. And I just cancelled the service for basically no reason. And their instructor called me and made appointment and I cancelled it. So I have to understand that business has its own policy. (At this point, I had it with their lies). My last response was I cancelled because no one responded after payment was made. I called the instructor, not the other way(detail mentioned above). For $24, just take it! I'll tell the world this truth for no one should ever have to face such dishonesty like this again. They replied they never experienced a case like this. Note: from Yelp's comment 5/18/2018, it doesn't look like they never experienced this. It's deemed unethical for seller to charge Paypal fee to buyer, esp on service that never happened. For 30% fee, quoted from Terms and Conditions page " There is a 30% cancellation fee for any unused portion of your lessons (any referral fee will also be deducted)". If I could give less stars I would. Please AVOID this place like the plague. The person that answers the phone can barely speak English to a degree that is really hard to communicate to make an appointment. You have to leave tons of messages for them to call you back. When we managed to talk to them and finally set the appointment the teacher came to our place 20 min late the first time, and never showed up to the second appointment. I called and complained and the gentleman that answered the phone first said he was the owner, then when he heard how upset I was, he said he wasn't. He offered me a refund, that was 2 weeks ago and we still have not get it. I called last week to question about it and he said he never told me I was going to get a refund and that he was just going to give my son a hour extra hour of free instruction. I got even more upset as he just kept changing his word. So, on first appointment the instructor is late, second appointment he completely missed it, and then he calls my teen son that he had an appointment on a day that we didn't and started harassing him on how he will not refund the money because WE missed that appointment. Very unprofessional and incompetent place. Today I called AGAIN...no one answered. I left 3 messages. In one I told them, "I will not go away, so please return my phone call and money." I really feel like they were trying to rob me from the beginning since it took so long to be able to set an appointment, then no phone calls returned for long period of times, evasive answers, changing their minds, and so forth. The nonspeaking English receptionist called me back a few hours ago to let me know that the check was supposedly on the mail and I should get it by tomorrow. YOU HAVE BEING WARNED: AVOID!!!! I will update if I get my refund, but I doubt it so I will just keep on calling them and bugging them until I get it. If I do get it back ever I will let you know. UPDATE: Finally got a check in the mail for $41 as a refund. Never mind that we payed $164 and that my son only took 2 hours of driving with them. THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE!!!!! I called them and the woman that always answers the phone dare to tell me "Sorry, I have no idea about your case" How can she say that when she is the ONLY one talking to me EVERY TIME? I signed my daughter up for 6 hours of driving instruction. The instructor, Alec, is the owner of this company. He arrived late every time, brought my daughter home early every time, took phone calls during the lessons (even when I asked him not to take calls during the lesson). His command of the English language is faulty, and he gave my daughter incorrect instruction. Needless to say, she did not pass her test.
