The first thing I noticed was the stuffiness of the air inside. It was on the warm side. The decor hasn't changed much in the last 20 years. The walls are crammed with all kinds of aging art. Several in the group ordered the huge pancakes. One had a burger. I had a Sweet chili chicken Philly sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans. It was tasty. $15.99 with tax. Service and food were fast and efficient.

I ordered mine with sourdough toast and a side salad. My husband got his with hash browns and toast. My sister got hers with toast and cottage cheese. The omelettes were good sized and had lots of tender, thin steak strips in it and a generous portion of cheese. Could've used more peppers and onions, but we still got the flavor of them. We'd also started out with a scone from their variety of flavors. The bathroom/shower stall areas weren't as clean as I'd like, but the food was good and the servers friendly.

Although it was late in the evening we were lucky that a site was available. All the folks we encountered were super friendly and the site is well maintained. We took advantage of the showers and laundry facilities. The older parents in our group even booked one of the small modular homes for the following nights as they had enough of camping. We took a quick spin on the communal bicycles and the kids enjoyed the animals (birds, iguana, swans, goat, and koi) on the property. If you have a RV I would recommend using Rusty's as a base for exploring the East and west sides of the Chiricahua's.
