Sandy's has been a favorite of my hiking club when returning from the Chiricahuas. It is still open until 4pm on Saturdays. The huge parking lot is inviting for truckers, RVs and bikers We arrived as a group of eight around 2pm. The place was busy but not crowded. The first thing I noticed was the stuffiness of the air inside. It was on the warm side. The decor hasn't changed much in the last 20 years. The walls are crammed with all kinds of aging art. Several in the group ordered the huge pancakes. One had a burger. I had a Sweet chili chicken Philly sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans. It was tasty. $15.99 with tax. This little restaurant sits kind of in the middle of nowhere on a corner of two highways. They had a simple menu with some decent options for breakfast. We all chose the Philly cheesesteak omelettes. It appeared that they were made fresh, as they didn't all come out at the same time. We all got hot food though. I ordered mine with sourdough toast and a side salad. My husband got his with hash browns and toast. My sister got hers with toast and cottage cheese. The omelettes were good sized and had lots of tender, thin steak strips in it and a generous portion of cheese. Could've used more peppers and onions, but we still got the flavor of them. We'd also started out with a scone from their variety of flavors. The bathroom/shower stall areas weren't as clean as I'd like, but the food was good and the servers friendly. read more

Been here a few times and the food is pretty good. Today, I had the breakfast special and that consisted of an egg, bacon , hash browns and English muffin. There were choices in meat and bread. Bacon tasty and cooked perfect, egg over easy I asked for was tasty, my English muffin excellent. The hash browns I left on plate after trying two bites. There was a blah taste I find hard to explain- not crunchy or tasty . My friend got the cheese added and said they were delicious- so there is a balanced view on them! The service nice- quick- efficient diner service. Ambiance nice community feel of chatter and friendliness. Good place to stop if out this way and likely coming again. read more

Amazing people and incredible food. Lee took care of us. We had breakfast and lunch. We got there right before they closed. She still took good care of us. We had- Sweetheart salad, fish sandwich, western burger, egg and bacon breakfast with biscuits, a pancake for dessert for me( I am picky about pancakes-perfect!!), a banana split cheesecake , an a chocolat malt. We also picked upon/blueberry cookies and some earrings! We had been hiking and were so hungry. Everything was so tasty, including the sides. Don't pass up this place! They were busy when we arrived. We ordered a Cheese/Sausage Omelette and Scrambled eggs with Bacon. Both the Omelette and the Scrambled eggs and Bacon were sitting in a pool of grease when they were delivered. The service was ok, definitely not over solicitous, however, the server could have been a bit more friendly, she acted very distracted. We've eaten there before and it was amazing. Perhaps an off day for the Kitchen Staff, not sure. I'd definitely give them another try read more

I wanted to give this place a five star but I actually can't. The cooks name is Steve, he was amazing, loved our conversation. Sandy and her husband own the place, they are very hard working, she warms up after a little bit. I ordered a Swiss cheese, mushrooms, bacon, burger, and it was good! Although I didn't notice it had canned mushrooms and the french fries tasted like box, already cut up in the package, at least that's what they tasted like. I was excited to try some homemade desserts, but honestly after looking around unfortunately, after I eat, I just couldn't. Turns out we sat in the back, right by the fly trap, so many flies! The bathroom was repulsive that needs to totally be redone. And please for the love of God, wipe down the doors, the doors leading to the back room. There is so much dust in this place they have it is alarming. I had to take a picture of the fan that is on the table by the cupcakes and desserts, I am only going to recommend this place because of Steve and the customers like Pops....you really need to close for a few days and give this place a Spit shine! read more

This was a cute little breakfast/lunch spot literally in the middle of nowhere. We were out in Willcox wine tasting and stumbled upon this place for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was actually more of a quesadilla/burrito hybrid. It was stuffed with a bunch of bacon and chorizo along with peppers onions and cheese. It was actually really good and the portion was huge! We also ordered biscuits and gravy which were just decent. Everyone seemed to like the food and the server that we had was a funny guy. I can only speak to the restaurant and not the RV Park. This is a bit out of the way, but will worth the drive. This was a great little place to enjoy breakfast and lunch. I went with a group of friends the other day and we arrived just as breakfast was ending and lunch was starting. About have of us ordered breakfast and the other half ordered lunch. Those that ordered breakfast had their food come out very fast. Those of us that ordered lunch, took just a tad longer. We all enjoyed the food, it was very tasty. This is normally our go-to place after a trip to Fort Bowie or Chiricahua. The food and pastries are always outstanding. This time the service was terrible. Once we received our food the server never once checked on us and wouldn't even look at us. I drank my partner's water because I never got a refill. I was so hungry I asked for an extra basket of fries, they never came. It wasn't busy at all. Three tables full. I guess we are "outsiders." Restauran is in a perfect location for anyone trying to grab a bite. Staff wears masks and they sanitize tables between customers, note that masks are not MANDATORY and a lot of costumers aren't wearing them, which is the owners decision. As long as they follow CDC guidelines which seems they are. Food itself was delicious, ordered pancakes with sausage and eggs. Would definitely come here again. I have eaten here before, and everything has been great. However, I ordered food to go last week: one regular burger without cheese, one with cheese and bacon burger, both rare, and a pulled pork sandwich. In all of my years getting food to go - and I am 65 - never have I ever received burnt hamburger buns like I did with my order. They were black on the outside and along the rims on the inside. Who serves customers food like this? Is it just reserved for those who get food to go so they won't see it until they get home? On top of that, the hamburgers were pretty much raw, but the pulled pork was okay. I also thought the sides were small for the price. I was so very disappointed, shocked to be honest. After having a very mediocre breakfast the prior morning in Benson, what a welcome sight along a long stretch of road between Douglas and Willcox (or Dragoon.) Fantastic value and the special had multiple strips of bacon cooked perfectly, hash brown cheesy thing, an egg and English Muffin. A full meal for less than 5 bucks! Now, to the Pancakes. Ordered 2. Good size, thickness and cook job was perfect. The flavor was otherworldly! This must be a personal pancake recipe. The pancake was moist and fall apart (in a good way) and the cinnamon, butter and maybe vanilla flavor making the outside of the pancake "caramelize" to a slight crunch! Amazing!!! My grandparents have been coming here for years and they finally took me with them. I don't think I've ever had a better breakfast in my life. Their pancakes are so heavenly that I asked my grandma if we could go again two days later. The staff is so friendly and quick with service. The only place in town to eat! Just ask the locals. Be prepared to wait for a table if you're here for the breakfast or lunch hour. We stopped here in our 40' motor home, plenty of room to park, on our way to the Wilcox Elks Lodge for the night. Boy are we glad we did, this place is the real deal. We stop here habitually on our trips through the area. Had breakfast today on our way back from Roper Lake. Place was packed, wait staff was cordial and friendly. Was seated immediately in a clean booth. Coffee was on the table before we knew it. Who ever was on the griddle today was an absolute maestro. Pancakes cooked to perfection. Eggs were perfect. What a nice suprise. Stopped in here with family and my husband while visiting the Chirichahua Mountains. The service was great and the restaurant was cute.
