I HAD NO KNOWN LOCATIONS FOR MY CHILDREN , THEY'RE FATHER WAS A FLIGHT RISK. I had found out my children were going to this school , I PROVIDED ALL INFORMATION SHOWING I AM THEIR MOTHER AND THEY'VE BEEN IN MY CARE (the father had his girlfriend on all the records for the school claiming she was the children's mother) this school asked for no type of proof , RECORDS, ANYTHING! I informed them they can call law enforcement (I had all proper documentation) just for the school to call their dad to immediately pick them up . This made it so much MORE DIFFICULT TO LOCATE MY CHILDREN AND CONFIRM THEIR SAFETY! This school IS HORRIBLE AND SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY AT ALL! The school must realize they were VERY WRONG because I pulled my children out of the school after involving Folsom Police in an effort to locate my children AFTER ALL THIS MESS ! They're fortunate I don't get an attorney and sue the school district for negligence. ANOTHER THING , when I called the school to inform them I have located my children and I HAVE EMERGENCY CUSTODY THE WOMAN IN THE OFFICE HAD THE AUDACITY TO ARGUE WITH ME! THIS SCHOOL IS A MOCKERY !!

I absolutely love the community aspect of this school. Let's talk about security. This school enforces strict rules regarding pick up and drop offs. A key pad must be entered in order to get in. Don't you want your loved ones to be safe and secure all day? Some bonus points are: Folsom Prep offers fun activities for after school programs, such as cooking and ninja classes. This improvement is a sign of good leadership as this issues have clearly been addressed. Most importantly, good leadership leads to good teachers and outcomes. This is what I am seeing at SJG. Wow! Super surprised there isn't a review yet!…read more School looks really nice. Well kept, yet limited parking. Interaction with the staff has been pleasant so far. The kiddo started Kindergarten today. Registration process went smooth. I heard the school was impacted, so some kids were getting sent via bus to other schools. Library looks awesome! Lots of books. We had to go there for some ESL testing. I guess they are required to test when there is more than one language spoken at home. Little did they know the 5 year old was fluent in sarcasm, too! Haha!! Me the kiddo's Kindergarten teacher. He was put into a 10:25am-1:46pm class. Note--they aren't given a school lunch in Kinder, but do get a 30 minute recess where they can eat snacks brought from home. It sounds like they look for a lot of volunteer work and donations. $40 donation for classroom supplies and cheetah bags for each student--which makes sense if they are trying to be fair and equal. My son goes by his middle name, and they are attempting to make him use his first name (long story). Thinking there might be an issue that comes up when he doesnt respond to his first name O_o...gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Cheers! Looking forward to an awesome year.

Are they being bullied? Are they being a bully? Just a parent's basic concerns or questions we might have should be answered and handled with care & respect. EOE is a school that provides that reassurance we're looking for that reassurance our kid/kids are in good hands for the next 6hrs. Aarti is an EOE nurse whom I communicate with often has made me feel content leaving my baby, Courtney makes me feel comfortable too and she I think is the schools LVN? I could be wrong though but she works with my baby too throughout the day. I also feel even more content when my daughter comes home and tells me about her day and has nothing bad to say. Seems like their students are all well behaved and respectful. My daughter's teacher even sends me emails here and there with updates regarding her day and behavior which is another stress reliever. Andrea and the other office lady I can't remember her name but they are always informing, understanding & nice they always greet me when I walk in the office.

You don't live here, I do. It's loud, chronic, and disturbs the peace, which is illegal and I will pursue the matter further.

The school claims to pride itself on its Catholic values and sense of community. This couldn't be further from the truth. While there are families there for the right reasons, the majority are not. There is a huge problem with bullying, and it goes completely unaddressed. The kids are rude and many lack basic manners. Not a far departure from the parents who are simply there for status. This is much more a private school than a Catholic school. This review is 100% towards the school. St. John the Baptist Church is wonderful and unfortunately has very little to do with the school. This year can not be over soon enough, taking my kids to a much better environment.
